My son started nursery last year and he has been loving it. He likes playing outside so the school's outside facilities give him the chance to play and explore. He was not speaking well when he started and there has been a massive improvement since. He has more words now and he speaks more clearly.

Since our daughter has moved over to Bright Horizons Didcot Day Nursery and Preschool she has grown so much in confidence and skills and has built up a strong network of friends to enjoy each nursery day with. The team are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond to build a strong connection with our daughter. Facilities are good at nursery but I really hope that during the first week of baby joining daycare, to ease settling process for mother and baby both, should allow few hours to spend with baby in daycare. Mainly considering no half day allowed anymore.

Clean and organised nursery. Lovely staff. Lots of different activities planned for each day to help little ones' development. Daily outdoor play. Halal food available. Regular updates on the app about the child’s day and feedback from key worker on how we can work on things at home to further development.

My little one started in December 2023 and settled in so well with no issues. The communication, either face to face or the app, from the staff daily is amazing and great to see what she’s eating and getting up to. They picked up on my little one’s speech issues within a few weeks and spoke to us and came up with a plan. I would recommend this nursery to anyone!

I was quite nervous about our son starting nursery at 9 months old. However, the staff have all been so friendly and welcoming. It is clear that they really care about the children. Thanks to this our son settled in very quickly. He really enjoys his time at nursery and he is always happy to go into Acorns. I love receiving the photo updates and seeing the wide range of activities that he is experiencing. It is clear that going to nursery is really helping his development. Knowing that he is happy and in such a safe and caring environment has made going back to work much easier.

All three of our boys have attended Bright Horizons Didcot Day Nursery and Preschool and we cannot rate the staff here highly enough. The management staff are so professional and always make you feel the children are safe. The communication from the team is marvellous. They were particularly supportive as our family was going through a difficult time post-pandemic. The staff in the rooms are so caring and supportive and create the most amazing activities to help with the children’s development. We have felt supported and listened to through all different stages, from potty training to difficult drop-offs. And a shout out to the chef who makes sure the kids have a tailored, nutritious and tasty meal every day. Thanks to you all for making my children’s childcare feel so safe and happy.

I can't fault Bright Horizons Didcot Day Nursery and Preschool! We moved from another nursery so I've had the luxury of comparing two and this one goes above and beyond my expectations. We're always welcomed with a friendly face and the care my daughter receives is wonderful. She has allergies so meals were really important to me and Bright Horizons caters for that really well. When I see what she's been served and eaten I feel really comforted knowing she's not being treated differently. Thank you Didcot Day Nursery!

We have been very happy with the nursery overall, although we have found changes from a corporate level frustrating (e.g. changes to booking patterns and fees). Our son is well cared for, is given nutritious meals (catering very well for allergies), and the activities are engaging and enjoyable for him. He seems happy and settled and we appreciate the regularity of updates during his days there.

We've always had very positive experiences with Bright Horizons Didcot Day Nursery. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. They go out of their way to accommodate all the needs of our children. Both of our children have flourished here and always love the staff in the rooms they are in.

My child has been off poorly for the last 6 weeks and has just started settling back into Acorns. The team have gone above and beyond to learn and cater for her new medical needs. One member of staff especially has made amazing resources for the team and has put a lot of time and effort into sorting correct paperwork ect. As parents we are extremely grateful. Acorns and the Didcot team have got stuck right in with learning all of my little one's new needs completing training etc and have made my anxiety of leaving her a lot easier. I feel assured that she is in safe, knowledgeable and loving hands when I leave her and she seems to be settling in just great.

Ellis has worked in childcare for 18 years, gaining extensive experience across a variety of settings with children ranging from birth to 11 years old. She joined the Didcot setting when it opened in September 2018, starting as Deputy Manager. Over the past nine years with Bright Horizons, Ellis has steadily grown and developed, advancing through several leadership roles before becoming Nursery Manager.
In the past six months, Ellis has had the privilege of presenting at the National Nursery Managers Show at both the NEC in Birmingham and the Excel in London. These opportunities allowed her to share her passion for incorporating a sustainability curriculum into early years education. She provided practical ideas to fellow professionals in the industry, finding it deeply rewarding to contribute to such an important conversation and inspire others in the field.
Childcare has been at the heart of Olivia’s journey since leaving sixth form in 2014. Over the years, Olivia has developed her skills and grown her career in early years education, moving from an Early Years practitioner to most recently Deputy Manager.
Olivia is passionate about continuous learning, collaboration with families, and building strong, supportive relationships to create the best outcomes for every child. Olivia feels a huge sense of pride in contributing to shaping young lives, supporting them on their unique journeys.
Hannah is our Third in Charge. She has worked in childcare since 2012, gaining a variety of experience in different nurseries and age groups from 3 months old to 5 years. Hannah transferred to the Didcot Nursery in 2018 and quickly became the room leader of the 2-3's room. In May 2019, Hannah became Third in Charge and stepped up to maternity cover as Deputy Manager in 2020 and now remains as the Third in Charge for Didcot. In this position, Hannah works closely with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager to implement high-quality programs, coordinate staff, and maintain a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for all children.
