Happy Days Nursery - Cheswick Village is a purpose-built nursery located next to Wallscourt Farm Academy and within the retail and residential complex of Cheswick Village.

The safe and warm nursery environment allows children to develop and play, surrounded by caring experienced staff who are attentive and fully focused on each child's individual needs and routines.

The age-appropriate Explorer and Adventurer rooms allow free flow access to the spacious outside areas, which provide endless scope for children to create and build their own miniature worlds and environments.

The on-site chef provides fresh and nutritious meals to support the healthy growth and development of each child. The children can also be involved in food preparation and learn how to be independent at mealtimes. Special diets can be catered for.

I am really pleased with Happy Days nursery. I was quite nervous and had some personal concerns over my daughter starting nursery but the manager listened and reassured me extremely well. The staff are all welcoming, introduce themselves and always take the time to acknowledge my little girl, even when
they’re not working directly with her. They do lots of great activities and the room and equipment seem to be in lovely condition. I couldn’t be more pleased with my child’s development when she’s been here.

My son has been attending since he was one, and always enjoys his time at the nursery. Staff are friendly and approachable. He has been very well cared for. Detailed feedback on my son's development and learning over a period of time is discussed through parent meetings. He is going to school next year,
and it would be beneficial to us as parents to understand the activities that tailored for his age and how the nursery can help them to get ready for school.

The nursery is amazing and the staff are always very friendly and have helped me massively in personal aspects of my life also. My twins have progressed a great deal and have learnt so much within the last year. The nursery is very safe and secure at all times.

My son has developed his confidence since starting Happy Days. When he first started, he'd cry on his drop-offs. Now he willingly goes to the staff in his room and waves "bye". That's a testament to the care and attention he gets.

We have only tried this nursery so cannot compare with others but we are very pleased overall. Our child is always happy to go and clearly enjoys himself there. They seem to do plenty of activities and tailor them to the child's age. They also offer varied menus cooked by the nursery chef, which is
amazing. It is a great relief to be able to go to work knowing our child is well looked after.

My son has been attending since before this site was opened by travelling to Bradley Stoke. He is now ready to go to school in September and I feel that his time at Happy Days has been invaluable. Though staff retention is difficult my son has had some key role models in the staff that have worked there,
and in particular, they have helped with key milestones in his development and have always been encouraging. I'm not sure how the smart start programme features in this final preschool year and it would be beneficial to understand how this features in a setting where both rooms have children aged 2+, but my son is a content, well rounded individual and has made some wonderful friendships. He will miss this setting, but I feel he is prepared for the future.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2024

My name is Shai, and I’ve worked in nurseries for just over 6 years. I started as a level 3 practitioner, then went on to be a Room Manager, and worked my way up into management. I have a passion for early years and supporting children to learn and develop through holistic play. This is such an important age to ensure the children are ready for their transition to school. I have undertaken a variety of training, such as safeguarding, first aid paediatric, first aid at work and food hygiene.


We work very closely with our families to ensure we are supporting the children’s development at home and within the nursery
