Happy Days Nursery - Cheswick Village is a purpose-built nursery located next to Wallscourt Farm Academy and within the retail and residential complex of Cheswick Village.

The safe and warm nursery environment allows children to develop and play, surrounded by caring experienced staff who are attentive and fully focused on each child's individual needs and routines.

The age-appropriate Explorer and Adventurer rooms allow free flow access to the spacious outside areas, which provide endless scope for children to create and build their own miniature worlds and environments.

The on-site chef provides fresh and nutritious meals to support the healthy growth and development of each child. The children can also be involved in food preparation and learn how to be independent at mealtimes. Special diets can be catered for.

Whilst it took a little while to settle, Harry is now having such a brilliant experience at Happy Days in Cheswick Village. He’s so busy every time we collect him and always seems to have lots of fun. We really appreciate how well looked after he is by everyone in his room, especially three staff members.

The standard overall at the nursery is excellent. I have one stand-out moment which was during my son's settling-in period and slightly beyond. I was incredibly anxious about leaving him and probably stayed with him for longer than 'normal' however the staff were so supportive and understanding they
made me feel so reassured and that I was leaving him with people who cared. He's been there over a year now and I have nothing but praise for the team and how they look after my son. He loves it there and always seems to have had a great day when he's picked up.

Our daughter has attended this nursery since she was 9 months old, going through from the baby room to currently being in the pre-school age room. I was breastfeeding when she started and really nervous about her settling in but they really helped with the transition and I quickly felt comfortable leaving
her there. The staff are really good, especially one member of staff, in particular, who has been with our daughter in different rooms and always asks us how our daughter is doing. All of the staff give thorough feedback at the end of the day and our daughter talks fondly about the people she sees at nursery. The manager is great and always welcoming, she knows who all the children and parents are and makes me feel comfortable when we arrive there each time. They are really strict with safeguarding and ask you to put your phone away whenever in the nursery which I find really reassuring.

Our son has been going to this nursery for about two years. The care and education he receives is excellent. He thrives there and goes in each morning without even looking back. The staff are very attentive and supportive.

Both my sons and daughter have been to this nursery and can’t praise enough how well the staff and the structure of the nursery are, the brilliant routines with the children, good communication with parents and how loving/caring the staff our to each child! As a mother makes me so happy to leave my
child knowing how well they are looked after here! Such a lovely and safe environment for them too. Great nursery for all ages.

We have had both our sons at Happy Days Cheswick since August 2017. Our children have totally different personalities and needs. Our eldest was always very independent, confident, and happy at nursery. He flourished and his hobbies and interests were encouraged. He arrived one day to find that the nursery
had purchased a football goal for him and his friend to use. He was more than ready for school. Our youngest enjoyed nursery until the day his brother left for school. He is more reserved, not confident in new situations, and had real issues being separated from us in the morning. His key worker and other adults in the room went out of their way to set up activities to help settle him in in the morning. He always left nursery happy. The nursery supported our concerns with his behaviour and arranged observations and we're extremely dignified and discreet with handovers. They treated both our boys exactly how they needed to be, as individuals. Incredible manager and staff.

What a wonderful nursery!
My daughter spent 2 years at Happy Days and I can not pick fault with anything. Staff were absolutely fantastic, nurturing and well-adapted to meet the needs of all of the individual children cared for.
I felt confident that my child was safe each day and that staffing numbers
were always adequate for the number of children present each day.
Communication is great with daily handovers, weekly emails about the activities/subjects learned that week and upcoming future events.
Happy Days has a private social media page so we can see pictures of our children having fun with daily activities. I was always informed and reassured via telephone if my daughter had a bump. Outdoor space is great and meals are homemade and healthy. Before attending, my daughter's language was very minimal and over the 2 years she spent at Happy Days, her vocabulary improved, she became more confident, and inquisitive and she was always so keen to go.

Lovely nursery with emphasis on outdoor play and preschool learning.
A wide range of activities on offer throughout every week as well as lots of free play time to expand their imaginations.
Staff seem attentive and caring, really helping to install good behaviour - brushing teeth, toileting, suncream
application etc.
The menu is fantastic, well balanced and varied. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

We are so pleased we chose Happy Days Cheswick for our daughter. The staff are simply amazing, very friendly and always met with a smile. From the minute we walked into Happy Days the manager made us feel so welcome. It is a very unknown and daunting experience sending your child to nursery for the first time but we felt at ease straight away. Our son has almost been at Happy Days for a year now and his development has been extraordinary.
The experiences and learning they do is great. The team all work so hard and it shows! Thank you for making our nursery experience so far so easy and seamless. It helps the Mum guilt to know your child is having a great time.

My daughter is coming to the end of her time at Happy Days Nursery & Preschool, moving on to primary school in September. She has been there for around two years and thoroughly enjoyed it. She has, with the help of the team, developed her speaking, pronunciation and attitude to others really well. All
of the staff are superb and it gives us real peace of mind knowing that she is in a fun, safe environment. There is a reason there is such a big waiting list! Highly recommended.

We have two children at Happy Days and have always been very happy with the service. The children are happy and enjoy going. The staff are warm, friendly and supportive. Our children are always happy with the food and activities they do.

I always notice how the nursery is warm, welcoming, bright and clean, with a display of excellent quality items for the children to play with. There is always a member of staff with a smile to greet you, whatever time of day! The nursery always seems to ooze a positive vibe even when they are short-staffed.
This shows the team work well together, and this comes across very well. All I can say the manager is an excellent manager of the team and brings out the best in them and the children, even in these hard times. I love the way the children are respected and spoken to - my granddaughter has excelled in her vocabulary and social skills for her age - what patient role models in early learning to have! The children at this nursery are very lucky! Thank you!

Both of my children have attended Happy Days Cheswick from the age of one and have thoroughly enjoyed every single day.
The staff are caring and have nurtured them, looking for ways to entertain their individual interests. The staff are always friendly and helpful and have been particularly flexible
with arrangements as we have had to move out of the area. My children have formed strong bonds with the staff and other children, which has been enabled by the warm and caring environment within the nursery. Thank you to all the staff.

Amazing nursery. My daughter loves it here. The staff are lonely and so welcoming. The menu and food provided is varied which she enjoys. The activities offered are brilliant. My daughter is well cared for here, which makes it easier to leave.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2024

My name is Shai, and I’ve worked in nurseries for just over 6 years. I started as a level 3 practitioner, then went on to be a Room Manager, and worked my way up into management. I have a passion for early years and supporting children to learn and develop through holistic play. This is such an important age to ensure the children are ready for their transition to school. I have undertaken a variety of training, such as safeguarding, first aid paediatric, first aid at work and food hygiene.


We work very closely with our families to ensure we are supporting the children’s development at home and within the nursery
