Acorn is a wonderful nursery that I cannot recommend enough to any prospective parent who is considering applying for a place. The staff are so wonderful and they immediately put you at ease. I never have any worries when I drop off my child for the day and it is total peace of mind knowing that they are being well looked after and are always getting engaged with the range of activities that is provided for them. Our child also has additional sensory needs and Acorn have been so hands-on with helping us get the help they need with so much patience and ease it’s been truly refreshing. The support is really amazing that the staff have provided and continue to provide and we are completely reassured that they are getting the best care. From outings to forest school and gardens to engaging indoor activities, it really is a well-rounded educational setting that has something for every little one to really help them thrive.

Both my children attend this nursery setting and both are thriving within the nursery. I am overall very happy with this nursery and would recommend to other parents that are looking for a family feel nursery. They are able to cater for all needs and are understanding for any special care your child may require.

Excellent childcare provision in a loving and nurturing setting. I feel very fortunate that there’s such an incredible nursery near to where we live. Our daughter really enjoys going and it has really set her up for starting school in September.

Both my girls have flourished at Acorn Stanwick! They've become so confident and happy. All staff are so welcoming and kind and always put the children first, going up and beyond! I’ve recommended the nursery many times to friends. I couldn’t ask for a better nursery for my children.

Had the pleasure of visiting the nursery during an open day when the parents were invited to accompany their child to forest school and see what they get up to. All I can say is it was brilliant! The children loved being outside and running wild with all the tools and toys they could ever need. Water play, mud piles, mazes, and when the staff cook on the open fire the children loved it, so happy me and my wife decided to send our child here and his little brother will be following in his footsteps. The kids are well looked after and have lots of experiences. If they’re not in the forest school then they go to the secret garden or to the allotments or on walks around the village to see the horses - they are never bored.

I am so pleased with the care that my son receives at the nursery. It’s a lovely atmosphere inside and there are always plenty of activities for the children. They cater very well his nutritional needs and have a very diverse menu. The staff are always very welcoming and happy to chat with me if I have questions. They have a garden that they take the children to and they have the first school which is a short walk away. I’ve been invited a few times on a parent-child activity morning to the forest school and it’s amazing! The aspect of my son going there and doing lots of outdoor activities was one of the many reasons I chose the nursery. I love the app communication system where I can see updates of my sons day, his overall progress at different milestones and they update the news feed with pictures of what they have been doing. I couldn’t recommend Acorn enough. A very lovely nursery.

Acorn Day Nursery in Stanwick is an all-round exceptional nursery. The staff go above and beyond to provide fun activities for the children. We particularly like the learning bags that have been introduced for the children to take home and complete with their family. The food provided is varied and healthy and our daughter has tried lots of different things through encouragement from the nursery staff. The children also get outside in the fresh air and have lots of fun at the secret garden and at the forest school. I feel so lucky to be able to send my daughter here and know that she is safe and having a lovely day learning and having fun. The staff always provide feedback and are very responsive to any messages or concerns that we may have. I would highly recommend this nursery.

I would thoroughly recommend Acorn Nursery in Stanwick. The care that my son receives is first class, the staff are wonderful and I feel secure that he is receiving a great experience at Acorn. I receive regular updates on progress and can contact the nursery at any time to discuss this. My son went to a different nursery for a year before he moved to Acorn and everything about Acorn is vastly superior to the previous care he received.

Staff are friendly and approachable and always supportive. My child struggled with being dropped off for an entire year and the nursery were able to support him and us in that with trying different settling techniques (he loves to pick his breakfast!) and letting us know how he's getting on with a post and photos on the app or having a telephone conversation with us if he had a bad drop off. He now has no problems.

My child has progressed so much in his time so far at Acorn, other family and friends comment on how well he uses cutlery, his development in terms of communicating with us and talking as well as socially with playing well and being good at sharing.

My son loves nursery, he chose it as the staff were so friendly and made him/us feel so welcome after viewing other nurseries they were not a patch on Acorn.

Having a child with special dietary needs, the staff could not be more accommodating. They show such care, consideration towards the children. If ever my son is upset or feeling under the weather the staff go out of their way to sooth, reassure and support any way they can. Highly recommended.

Our son will shortly be leaving for Reception after 2 years at Stanwick during which he has noticeably gained in confidence. The staff have been wonderful; they are a mix of ages and experience and all are kind and encouraging with the children. We have been given helpful advice on managing behaviour, potty training, etc.

There are plenty of books, toys and activities and a weekly music/singing session which our son loves. The different age groups spend at least part of the day together including mealtimes, and the choice of food is excellent. There have been organised activities to prepare for school, e.g. collecting objects in a Sound Box (letters), bringing home a game to play (numbers/maths), and changing in and out of sports gear (PE.)

A significant part of the week is the outdoor play at Forest School and at the Secret Garden. These facilities cannot be praised highly enough, especially when compared to the barely adequate outdoor spaces which are available at other providers.

This nursery is amazing.

Forest School sets the nursery apart from the rest. The team do all they can to make you feel welcome and both my girls are excited about going to nursery every day. Even at weekends, they ask "Daddy, is it a nursery day today. Please can I go".

My girls came to this nursery after their previous one closed. I was so worried about how they would settle in but I needn't have. All the staff took on my worries and made the move so easy. My girls love it and have developed no end since attending. The care and attention is excellent and I know how happy and safe they are, which for any parent, this is all you want.
