Bright Horizons Maidstone Turkey Mill Day Nursery and Preschool is an eco-friendly facility designed for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

My daughter started in the baby room in this nursery in September 2018. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and can obviously see how much they care for the children. My daughter has never had any tears going into the room, and every time I pick her up she is happy and smiling, and smiles every
time we pull up in the mornings. It is a large room and well equipped, she has always done something new when I collect her. The nursery always stays in good contact with the parents, and are very approachable. Couldn't recommend Turkey Mill any more!

My little girl is in baby room in this nursery and I couldn't be happier with how she is cared for and the nursery overall. My little girl has needed a lot of extra care as she has been in and out of hospital in the past few months, and the staff couldn't have made me feel any better about leaving her
in their care. They have ensured all her needs are met. She is always very happy to go into nursery and is clean, happy, well fed when I collect her. I enjoy to hear of all the different things she has done that day, and the staff are very easy to talk too. Thank you Bright Horizons.

My son started at this nursery in April. The staff have been amazing and didn't rush his settling in period to prepare him for full time care. My son has come on leaps and bounds since starting. He is well cared for and runs straight into nursery. The toddler room/outside space is great.

My daughter has only been attending nursery for the last 3 months, 1 day a week and it is the best decision we made for her. She absolutely loves the staff and thrives here, it is the best feeling seeing her confidence and independence grow week after week. All of the staff are so lovely and genuinely
care about the children's welfare and wellbeing. Having initially being nervous and reluctant for my daughter to go to nursery. I .know it is the best thing we've done for her development. Thank you Bright Horizons.

My 12-month-old son has been attending full time for two weeks and we are really pleased with how the settling in period is going. All the ladies in the Baby Room are lovely and my son's key-worker could not be more accommodating and supportive. My son is already coping well with his new routine and
it is down to the hard work, patience, knowledge and care of the lovely staff at Turkey Mill.

I love this nursery, the staff are so welcoming and knowledgable. My son has definitely flourished here and become much more confident. The staff really love the children and my son loves playing and learning with them. The outside space is wonderful and I love the fact my little boy can play outside
whenever the weather permits as well as do some gardening (watering and digging), which he loves.

Very happy with my son's nursery room. His key worker is always present and will provide a full detailed report of what he has been up to for the day. All the staff are welcoming and polite. My son is comfortable and happy to interact with other staff within the baby room, he enjoys playing outside
of which I am happy to see the staff encourage. There are always lots of toys and sensory equipment to help further develop motor and social skills. The baby room is always clean.

This nursery has given my daughter so much confidence and she has developed in so many ways. She is more confident and balanced and loves going to the nursery every morning, she's even made her own group of friends. All the staff are warm, caring and very professional.

My Daughter has been attending Bright Horizons Maidstone Turkey Mill since September 2018 and is currently in the Toddler room. She settled amazingly and made a great bond and attachment to her key worker as well as the other staff in the room. My daughter's development has grown and grown every week
and she comes home telling us something new every day, which amazes me how much she really takes in through all that playing and engagement. She gets very emotional at home time as she loves nursery so much and wants to stay with her key worker.
All the staff take a huge amount of care in each child’s needs and for that, I could not fault them. Thank you for making her time here so much fun.

We have been bringing our children here for 3.5 years and could not be happier with the service we receive here. The staff are incredible and have helped my children to develop into little people that are clever and well rounded and certainly the eldest, ready for big school. The building is always
clean and tidy and the kids can't wait to get there in the morning.
If there is a problem, someone is always on hand to help you and rectify the situation if it is needed. I have already recommended this nursery to nearly everyone I know with children and will continue to do so.

My daughter has been going to this nursery for several months now and I can't fault it, the staff are great and very welcoming. It's nice to see my daughter interacting with other children and enjoying herself. I look forward to her growing throughout her time at this nursery and building her confidence.
Would

Fantastic place, which I have already recommended to two of my friends and they have placed their children under their care. Staff are amazing, always going an extra mile for the well being of the children. Kept me informed of details when my daughter was moved up to pre-school. My little girl comes

My daughter is very happy here, and the staff I've met so far in the toddler room all seem very nice and do a very good job.


The nursery is very well organised and efficient, but the environment still retains the homely and relaxed feel we want our daughter to experience. Would recommend.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I passed my BTEC level 3 diploma in Nursery nursing in 1995 and have worked in the early year's sector for 22 years. I also have a Level 3 in adult education, management, training and mentoring.


Where have I come from?


I was a Children’s Service Manager for Nuffield Health from 1998 to 2019, I managed the nursery, creche, afterschool clubs and holiday camps. I delivered training for the other 12 nurseries within the company and supported the opening of new nurseries within the business. I have worked with Kent County Council in their Early Help, this role was supporting vulnerable families and children.


My Family and home life


I live with my husband, 2 boys and my 3rd child, Trigger the dog.


I was raised in Bromley, and when I had my children, I moved to the Maidstone.


What is my passion?


I have 2 passions; my main passion is my boys and their dedication to becoming the next professional footballer, I attend training and matches come rain or shine, and I even know the offside rule! My other passion is early years and providing every child with the best opportunities to build a foundation to achieve.


You never would have guessed but...


My Grandparents bought me a tortoise when I was 2 years old, Tabatha the tortoise is now 43 years old.

I started my childcare career in 2014, joining Bright Horizons as part of the bank team. My journey has taken me through the completion of my Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and provided the opportunity to work across all age groups broadening my theoretical and practical knowledge and experience.


I am passionate to provide the best care and quality of education for children. I enjoy watching each of them grow and develop and feel privileged to be able to share in their achievements.


In my own time, I like to read and I also run.
