I couldn't recommend Bright Horizons Maidstone Turkey Mill Day Nursery and Preschool highly enough. They are supportive, encouraging and engaging with all of the children and support each child's individual development. During the last few months, whilst our daughter has been within the setting, she
has developed more than we could have imagined. Her eating has improved leaps and bounds and her concentration with tasks has improved too. All the staff here are highly approachable and have a genuine care for the children here. There have been a couple of unavoidable changes to staffing in the rooms recently and they have been handled with care to ensure the children remain happy and confident. Thank you for being so caring, educational and professional!

I cannot fault Bright Horizons, Turkey Mill. It is so lovely to hear my Granddaughter telling me about her day and the lovely activites that they do. The staff seem to manage a lovely balance between learning and play. It is also very encouraging that when I have dropped off and picked up they check
who I am and the security there is very good. The staff are always very friendly and have time to talk to you which is also lovely. Even though I do not pick up regularly they still explained the activities that took place and it was lovely to hear that they had praised my granddaughter for being kind. It is also lovely that they have the outdoor space. Well done Bright Horizons for your hard work and care.

I am so impressed with Bright Horizons Turkey Mill Nursery, I couldn't rate them high enough!
It is a really difficult decision to choose the right childcare for my son who is now 17 months old, and after viewing several nurseries and childminders, it was a no-brainer to select Bright Horizons Turkey
Mill! Since he enrolled over the last 3 months, he has thrived and thoroughly enjoys himself!
I especially love the photo updates and details about his days here, but mostly I love how the staff make all the efforts with the day-to-day activities and always have more than enough time to give me the debrief. It's also amazing to have regular observations. I will be upping my son's days to 3 days a week, if I could afford more I would! Thank you for all you do to keep my son safe, happy and learning!

The nursery was great. My daughter started to learn to eat different things as I had asked for help with this and also use the toilet. She started in nappies and finished nursery clean. Onto Pre-School we go. There had been a lot of 'new staff' in and out, causing a feeling of unsettledness. Next, my
daughter, who has always loved going to school, began crying and not wanting to go in due to a little boy bullying her. Things like pulling her clothing! Pushing her over! Spitting! Appalling! I even asked her how her day was in front of staff when collecting, where she'd tell me this, and they said nothing. My daughter opted to leave and went straight away to a new preschool and she was back to her usual excited loving school self! The place costs too much for a less-than-standard setting. The food is good. That's all the positive. Staff are too stretched with not enough of them there. When I explained she was leaving, they honestly were too busy to care! It was like sorry number 203 is leaving.

Our son has now been with Bright Horizons Maidstone Turkey Mill Day Nursery and Preschool for over six months. In our first couple of months, we experienced some administration issues however after these were rectified we’ve not had any issues. Our son seems incredibly happy here and he has a great
bond with the staff who look after him. There are brilliant activities set up for the children every day and it’s lovely to see what they have been up to via the app. The staff are very friendly and always have time to tell you what the children have been up to during the day. We are very pleased with our choice to send our son here.

Worked in nurseries for ten-plus years so know what to expect. Yet, I'm always disappointed by Bright Horizons. The only reason my son is still here is because no other nurseries have space and he doesn't want to leave his friends. Communication is poor. We find out about charity days the day before.
Never really know what my son has been up to as it's not always on the app and handovers aren't great. Observations are mediocre, especially as we only get one a month. They seem to do a lot of messy play/crafting but I never see any of it. I only know because my son comes out in dirty clothes. Didn't get anything for Valentine's, Mother's or Father's Day, even though they said stuff had been made. His final year in preschool and they haven't done anything for it (nativity/singing). When I asked why not, they replied we don't know. They sang on the app later that day. Would not recommend this nursery.

Having taken my little one out of another nursery to come to Bright Horizons, it has been lovely to see him flourish. Staff have always been so helpful, and attentive and really taken the time to get to know him. I can't recommend Bright Horizons enough and have done it to friends. My son loves coming

After a bad experience in another setting, we are so happy we changed our son to Bright Horizons. We feel much happier knowing he is well cared for and looked after and his development has come on leaps and bounds. The staff and management are exceptional and worth their weight in gold.

The nursery is very clean and safe, with good use of telecoms, love the use of the app, which makes communication easy and simple.

The best thing about Bright Horizons is the staff. Not only are they always happy to see my daughter (I'm not even happy to see her every morning sometimes). I'm always amazed at the interesting and fun activities they put on for the children. She comes home happy and having learnt new things. They
are always trying new and fun activities and they seem to have an endless supply of patience. Basically, I'm amazed at anyone who can stay so happy surrounded by so many children, I know I couldn't. Hats off to you all.

There is only positive experiences to comment. The staff are family, they nursery is a home-from-home. Our children crave the fun at nursery. Keyworkers are described as 'best friends'. The month of June also incorporated 'pride' which for same-sex parents is brilliant and an introduction for our eldest.

My child has settled so well at Turkey Mill nursery. She is happy and excited to come into nursery. She had a well organised transition from the baby to toddler room with staff being caring, support and friendly throughout the transition. The staff are more than happy to support and answer any of my

I am incredibly happy with the care the team have for my daughter. She is so happy at preschool.
The preschool team are open which means we can repeat anything at home, including expectations for behaviour.
Activities are varied and the team go with children's interests.

We have been so impressed by the toddler team at Bright Horizons Maidstone Turkey Mill Day Nursery and Preschool. Our son is often reluctant to leave us at the door but is always greeted by warm welcomes from the team as well as hugs when needed! Our son is always surprising us with new things he has

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I passed my BTEC level 3 diploma in Nursery nursing in 1995 and have worked in the early year's sector for 22 years. I also have a Level 3 in adult education, management, training and mentoring.


Where have I come from?


I was a Children’s Service Manager for Nuffield Health from 1998 to 2019, I managed the nursery, creche, afterschool clubs and holiday camps. I delivered training for the other 12 nurseries within the company and supported the opening of new nurseries within the business. I have worked with Kent County Council in their Early Help, this role was supporting vulnerable families and children.


My Family and home life


I live with my husband, 2 boys and my 3rd child, Trigger the dog.


I was raised in Bromley, and when I had my children, I moved to the Maidstone.


What is my passion?


I have 2 passions; my main passion is my boys and their dedication to becoming the next professional footballer, I attend training and matches come rain or shine, and I even know the offside rule! My other passion is early years and providing every child with the best opportunities to build a foundation to achieve.


You never would have guessed but...


My Grandparents bought me a tortoise when I was 2 years old, Tabatha the tortoise is now 43 years old.

My journey has taken me through the completion of my Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and provided the opportunity to work across all age groups broadening my theoretical and practical knowledge and experience.


I am passionate to provide the best care and quality of education for children. I enjoy watching each of them grow and develop and feel privileged to be able to share in their achievements.
