Norfolk House Nursery provides full-time and sessional day care for children aged three months to four-years-old, within a spacious Victorian house, that is situated close to Norfolk House School.

A team of skilled and professional childcare staff offer children the opportunity to spend all of their time learning, supporting them in a carefully developed learning environment. Staff work together ensuring that children are safe at all times as they learn and grow in a light, airy and spacious environment.

All rooms at the nursery are carefully designed and furnished with solid maple furniture and encompass a range of activity areas including: role-play, science and discovery, construction, art, wet play and literacy.

The nursery has its own secure grounds with a secret garden, log cabin, staged area and musical gazebo where children can benefit from storytelling, ball and sand pits, vegetable and plant boxes and a fruit growing area. All of these things encourage and support each child's learning and development, while offering them the chance to get fresh air and exercise regularly.

Our daughter has been attending Norfolk House Nursery - Norfolk Road for nearly a year, she really loves it and can't wait to go every day. She settled in really easily in Babies 1 and made a smooth transition to Babies 2 which she also loves. The staff are all fantastic with her, really caring and
she has great fun playing and chatting with them and the other children. We couldn't recommend this nursery highly enough, big thanks to all the staff especially to those in Babies 2.

Norfolk House Nursery - Norfolk Road is a great nursery. The staff are wonderful, very caring and love my son. Their activities meets and exceeds the needs of my son. I know my son is well looked after, safe and well-prepared for the next stage. Having had my two older sons going through the nursery,
I’m confident that their high standards will be well maintained.

Our son is in Ladybirds and we are so happy that we chose this nursery. The team in the room are fantastic! All the staff at Norfolk House Nursery - Norfolk Road are friendly and so obviously love what they do. The care and attention he receives has been great for his development. The staff pick up
on his interests and cover tasks that he enjoys. We appreciate the homework packs too. We’re always kept informed of our son’s progress and really value the input and advice of the team in Ladybirds. He loves his time at nursery and now that the sun is shining it is great to see the kids making the most of the wonderful garden. I would have no hesitation recommending Norfolk House Nursery - Norfolk Road. The pandemic has been difficult for everyone but the continuity of care and resilience of the management and staff has been a Godsend.

My son is currently in Ladybirds at Norfolk House Nursery - Norfolk Road and he has attended the nursery since he was ten months old. I cannot recommend Norfolk House Nursery - Norfolk Road enough. The staff are great and our son is so fond of them, he considers them his friends. He is thriving there
and his development is coming on so well. Staff are great at communicating with us about his progress and areas for development, so it feels like we are all on the same page. The team have been fantastic through the pandemic and provided consistency and care for our son throughout. The best part for us though is that he walks into nursery excited and happy each day and we can’t ask for more than that. We look forward to our daughter joining soon.

Our daughter is currently in Ladybirds at Norfolk House Nursery - Norfolk Road and we are so happy with the care and development she receives. The staff in the room, particularly three if them, are all incredible at their jobs, putting so much effort into making each day fun and special.

Our son has been attending nursery for nearly a year and we are so pleased we chose Norfolk House Nursery - Norfolk Road. He comes home happy and content after a day of fun activities and excellent, nutritious food. The babies two team are fantastic and provide excellent care. We especially love it
when he sings and dances along to songs that we know he has been taught during his day. We are very grateful to the team and how they have managed to maintain a brilliant and safe service throughout difficult times during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Both my children have attended Norfolk House Nursery - Norfolk Road and loved it. My daughter most recently, who we were nervous about as she has been a ‘lockdown baby’ and sadly wasn’t taking well to new people. However, we couldn’t be more delighted at how she has settled and loves going to nursery
everyday. The Babies Two team are wonderful with her and she has so much fun doing all the activities, her face is always full of smiles at seeing them. Thank you!

Norfolk House Nursery - Norfolk Road is an excellent nursery. Since sending our son here when he was one over a year ago, he’s grown to love the nursery and formed bonds with many of the nursery staff. They have been so supportive in helping our son and us settle in, helping in his development and providing
a caring and nurturing environment for him every day. We feel very confident every time we bring him to nursery that he will be safe but also that he will have a wonderful day filled with lots of fun activities, including extracurricular classes. The staff pay a lot of attention to making sure each child is looked after in the best possible way, including meal times, nap times and nappy changes and they give a thorough handover to parents at the end of each day, as well as listening to parents’ concerns. As a result there is excellent communication and continuity between nursery and home environment. I would highly recommend Norfolk House Nursery - Norfolk Road to other parents.

Our daughter is currently in ladybirds at Norfolk House Nursery - Norfolk Road. She was previously in babies one and two, our older daughter also attended and all of the rooms have been brilliant. Our daughter loves it and the staff are wonderful. She is always so happy to go and doesn’t want to leave.
The activities they create are targeted and have excellent variety. The homework packs and cookery challenges are enjoyed by all at home. We cannot praise the staff enough. In what has been an incredibly challenging year they have been cheerful and resilient. The management have been brilliant at keeping us updated and adapting to rapidly changing situations. I cannot recommend the nursery highly enough.

My boys have attended Norfolk House Nursery - Norfolk Road since they were one year old, they are now four and I am so sad at the thought of this being their last term at Norfolk House Nursery - Norfolk Road before school. In every single room they have been in, the staff have been amazing! They are
so loving, kind and nurturing. I feel so reassured when leaving my boys there as they have so much fun. The staff are great at informing us as parents what they have been up to in the day. The activities the staff set up and the extra curriculum activities they have to offer is fantastic. I am so happy we chose Norfolk House Nursery - Norfolk Road! I honestly will never be able to thank them enough for all their hard work and commitment, they all have a real passion for what they do. It has been the best start for our boys. Thank you!

My little girl absolutely adores staff at the nursery and looks forward to every session! Staff are professional and caring, my daughter is learning a lot of new skills. All our family are very proud of her and happy that she loves her learning journey! I believe a good nursery is a very important step
in order for the child to love school and learnings in the future! The activity plan is always communicated to parents and food for children is fresh - my daughter loves it. I support the idea of teaching kids about healthy food and showing how to cook and here Norfolk House Nursery are on the top. I cannot thank all the staff at Norfolk House Nursery enough, we are so very pleased that we found you! 100% recommend joining this nursery!

Norfolk House Nursery have looked after and helped develop both my children and I completely trust them. The staff are down to earth and always offer development suggestions to work on at home when appropriate.
The last year with COVID restrictions has been difficult, however the staff have really
gone above and beyond to ensure the children in their care have fun and ‘business as usual’ for them.
I would not hesitate to recommend this setting for any pre-school child.

We are so pleased we chose Norfolk House for our daughter. She is so happy there and is learning a huge amount. The activities and learning are varied, keeping the children interested and there is a fantastic garden for them to explore and play in. The staff work really hard and always have the time
to give us detailed feedback each day. Our daughter has really bonded with the staff and has made some great friends with the other children.
The food provided is excellent and dietary requirements are happily accommodated by the nursery.
We can go to work during the day with full confidence that our little one is being well looked after as well as learning and having the time of her life. Thank you Norfolk House Nursery and all of the team.

Norfolk House is a wonderful nursery. The staff are friendly and professional, and most importantly have the best interests of the children at heart. I'm so impressed with the variety of stimulating activities, and I always feel safe leaving my child in their care. I would definitely recommend!

Welcoming, kind, great activities. Staff interested in my children's development. Lots of feedback about how they are getting on, including art sent home and lots of pictures/reports too. Forest school several times a week which my son loves. Healthy meals cooked on-site which my son also seems to enjoy
very much. Both children have settled in very quickly and are relaxed and comfortable there.

We are so thrilled with Norfolk House Nursery. We enrolled our daughter before she was born because we had heard such good things about the Nursery from friends and other parents and are so glad that we did. Our daughter absolutely loves attending Nursery (currently attending full time). The care and
education that management and staff provide the Children certainly helps my husband and I feel more comfortable about us both working full time. She is really stimulated and learns so much from them both socially and educationally. She has also developed close and special bonds with many of the staff which is especially important to us given COVID19 restrictions on seeing family and friends. I highly recommend Norfolk House Nursery.

I am Hayley Fox, the Senior Nursery Manager. I oversee all three of our nurseries, sharing my time between them and working closely with the Nursery Managers who are responsible for their day-to-day operation. We have found that this arrangement further enhances the level of service we are able to provide and keeps us at the very forefront of Early Years education.


I have worked in Early Years education for 22 years. I started work at our Norfolk Road setting in April 2009, some five months before it opened its doors. I have therefore been able to recruit staff, plan and implement policies, and develop best practices in all areas from the Nursery’s very inception. My own daughter attended the Nursery and progressed through every age group, which has enabled me to view it from a parent’s perspective.

I started working at Norfolk House Nursery in 2011 as a Nursery Nurse. Over the years, I have progressed throughout my career transitioning from Nursery Nurse to Senior Nursery Nurse, Room Leader, Deputy Manager, and now Nursery Manager. I enjoy every minute of my time working at Norfolk House Nursery.


I believe our high standards, and passion to give all children the very best start in life is something to be proud of! We strive to give each child the best care and education that they deserve!


It has been a pleasure to meet so many lovely families during my time, which makes me so excited to become Nursery Manager at Norfolk Road after 10 years, I can’t wait!
