Norfolk House Nursery - Norfolk Road

When we applied for the nursery we had high hopes for our daughter, and these have been exceeded. She settled in exceptionally due to the friendly and family ethos the nursery has, which is underpinned by fantastic staff. The activities are varied and interesting but also purposeful and educational. My daughter loves coming to Nursery every morning, long may that feeling last.

The staff at Norfolk House are brilliant, always attentive and willing to help. My son loves going to nursery and during his time there his confidence has grown immensely. English is not his native language and I was grateful when the staff asked me to note down a few words which they could use to help make him feel more comfortable.

The family-inclusive activities at the nursery is a wonderful arrangement as it allows parents/guardians to see how kids interact in the environment.

Overall I would highly recommend this nursery.

Our daughter has attended Norfolk House Nursery since around 11 months old. As she has moved from the baby, toddler and now preschool room she has always been surrounded and supported by the wonderful staff there who make the nursery feel like home. She loves her key workers and has grown in such confidence preparing her really well for school. The garden is fantastic and the range of activities (rhythm time, forest school etc) make for a rounded and fun place to be! Staff always go the extra mile and I’m constantly impressed with the thought that goes into stay and play sessions etc.

It is clear from the photographs, postings and feedback that our granddaughter is thriving whilst at Norfolk House Nursery. The facilities and equipment are maintained to a high standard and safety have a clear focus. She clearly enjoys her time at nursery and the interaction with other children sharing learning experiences. The variation of activities are extensive and stimulating. We can see that when she demonstrates to us the new skills she has learnt - general movement and mimicking actions at present - and we can't wait until her voice arrives.

The outdoor space at the nursery is exceptional, with lots of places for the children to explore as well as games and equipment. My daughter has really thrived whilst being at Norfolk house and has been encouraged and supported throughout.

Our eldest child has been at Norfolk House for almost 3 years now and has thrived in this nursery. The staff are so engaging and caring, and the facilities are excellent. She particularly enjoys the outside space including 1.5 days of forest school activities each week, as well as the other extracurricular activities throughout the week. Transitions from room to room have been managed well and she has made some wonderful friends. Our youngest has recently joined and has settled really well. Both our children love coming to nursery every day and we have recommended it to many of our friends.

My experience with this nursery goes back to 2016 when my daughter started with them. I was so nervous as my daughter was only 11 months when she joined but the staff reassured me she would be fine. They did everything with reason to support this, and they were right. My daughter was fine. She stayed there from babies right through to graduation and I cannot fault this nursery at all, it’s the only nursery I would go to send my children and currently, my son goes there and he just loves it and the staff love him.

I have watched my son go from babies room to now toddlers and he's just doing wonderful. His speech is coming on and he's so much more independent doing things. He's always happy when I come to pick him up and that reassures me how content he is with the nursery. I would recommend anyone wanting to join the nursery to do so early as spaces here go so quick, because of how popular they are. You won’t regret it because the staff work with you and your child. Best decision I made!

We are so delighted to have chosen Norfolk House Nursery for our children. The staff have gone out of their way to make secure and lasting bonds with the children, which have continued even after my eldest left for school. They take notice of my child's interests and build activities around these. Both of my children have thrived here and always give me the biggest smiles at pick-up time, chatting all the way home about what they have got up to.

The food is varied and nutritious and the children are encouraged to learn about healthy eating through the cooking club. The outside space is excellent with Forest School being a real highlight for my pre-school child. The equipment is often updated, most recently a new mud kitchen area.

I would recommend Norfolk House to any parent looking for quality childcare with passionate staff that will provide excellent care for your child, listening to both the child's and parents' needs and ensuring the children develop to their full potential.

My granddaughter has really developed her confidence and skills since she started at Norfolk House. She loves going to nursery and all of the activities she takes part in such as ballet, rhythm time and the stay and plays - especially meeting the Easter bunny! We love all of the paintings and crafts she comes home with too!

Our daughter has been going to Norfok House Nursery since she was 7 months old. Her key persons, the management team and the rest of the staff have always been very caring and supportive of her development. We have been very pleased with the nursery and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to other parents.

Our son has been going to Norfolk House Nursery since he was 10 months old. He enjoys coming to nursery. Management has been very approachable and helpful. They use the open space wisely and engage the kids in different activities which they seem to love.

I have been impressed with the overall management, enthusiasm and engagement with parents and the children at Norfolk Nursery since my first child joined just over 5 years ago so it wasn’t a difficult decision when choosing a childcare place for my second child. Norfolk House Nursery have always communicated honestly and openly during the pandemic which only reinforced my trust with them. We couldn’t be happier with Norfolk House Nursery. Our son started when he was 9 months and has already built incredibly strong relationships and loves his time there. Every day he is being nurtured, loved, encouraged to develop his own personality and to learn through play. He has gained so much confidence, and it’s a real pleasure to see how much he enjoys his time at Norfolk House Nursery. He has a significant food allergy and I couldn’t praise the chef and all the staff any more for how much they make sure his nutritional needs are being met and that his meals don’t outwardly differ to those of the other kids. Thank you to all the staff who really care and look after the kiddies ( and the parents! ). Sending your little one to nursery is always a big and sometimes difficult step, but everyone at Norfolk House Nursery is so kind and forthcoming that it makes this difficult transition a real walk in the park. Two of our children have attended Norfolk House Nursery (Norfolk Road) with our youngest currently at preschool. We have always been grateful for the amazing care given, wonderful staff, fantastic facilities and cleanliness. We are continually amazed by the effort and dedication of the staff as I recently reviewed my child’s learning journey folder at parents' evening. There were so wonderful memories captured with so many lovely photos showing how much my child enjoys all the planned activities particularly cooking club. Our son also really enjoys rhythm time and forest school at nursery. We always feel at ease dropping our child off at nursery as we know he will be in safe hands. We would highly recommend Norfolk House Nursery and would like to thank all the staff for your care and dedication.

Both my boys have spent their nursery experience at Norfolk House. Both have had an amazing time and it really prepares them for starting school and excels their learning. The outdoor space is particularly impressive and all the staff are caring and that is so important! You really feel that they care for your children as much as you do.

We decided to move our son to a new nursery for his final year before going into reception. It was a huge decision because we didn’t want to upset him having been at his previous setting since the age of 1. It was challenging for the first two weeks, after that he’s been excited to go and even disappointed if I try to pick him up too early! The team in the pre-school room are excellent. The management team are efficient and always get back to you on the same day. I’ve even had email replies at 9 pm! The extra activities are incredible. Forest school is probably our son's favourite, but there’s also football club, Rhythm Time and seasonal and topical events where families can attend and join in for example to celebrate Black History Month, Halloween and Bonfire Night. In comparison to our last nursery, Norfolk House is more dedicated to the children’s development not only with phonics and numbers, but also science, the world and their social development. Well done Norfolk House!

My son has started in the last couple of months at the age of 1 and we can already see how much he has developed and how much he loves being at the nursery. The staff have been so welcoming and so kind and our son has created lovely bonds with the staff. Our eldest also attended Norfolk House and we would highly recommend it to other parents. The activities and trips they get to do really build on their development and independence.

Our daughter recently joined Norfolk House Nursery. We've been absolutely delighted so far with the level of staff commitment demonstrated, nursery facilities, and general settling-in period for our daughter. The staff are always warm and welcoming, show a genuine interest in her development, and take the time to update us each day with her progress.
