East Barnet Day Nursery and Preschool is located in a charming character building near Oak Hill Park, offering care and early education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The nursery team is qualified, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting every child’s development. With opening hours from 7:30am to 6:30pm and an onsite buggy park, the nursery is ideal for busy families. My son has attended this nursery from the age of 9 months and I am extremely happy with the service they have provided. The baby room staff were amazing with his care and feel they have helped him come out of his shell.


He has recently moved over to the toddler 2 room and again the staff have done

an amazing job of settling him in. Overall, I am really happy with the care my son has been given.

My son is in preschool at nursery and he has been at Bright Horizons since he was 1. In every room, the staff have been brilliant and have made my son feel welcome and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and caring and my son adores his key worker. This is a testament to the hard work and effort

My son has been at this nursery for three weeks and the staff have been lovely and helpful in settling him in. We had a personal tour of the nursery which was excellent. Staff were welcoming and very professional.
My son went to the deputy manager instantly, all staff said hello to him addressing him
by his name. I would not hesitate in recommending this nursery to any prospective parents.

My daughter started the nursery when she was only 9 months and we are very happy with her development. She is a very confident and happy little girl with a nice shaped personality. She always talks about the children and staff from the nursery and she is so excited to come in every single day. The staff
are lovely, really welcoming and they have built a strong relationship not only with her, but they are always more than happy to involve us in all aspects of our daughter's development.

I am very happy with the changes of development of my child. She is very keen on going to nursery and she's enjoying her time there. I get to know lots of new songs thanks to her singing. However, I do see that she's getting a bit bored in her new group and that she's really enjoying pre-school.

I would strongly recommend this nursery. All the staff are very friendly and have helped our son settle in well. He enjoys going to nursery and has lots of fun! The facilities are good with lots of time outside. We are particularly impressed with his current key worker, Laura. She has built a lovely

The nursery have looked after our daughter since she was six months old and the care has been superb. Our daughter absolutely loves being there and particularly the staff.
The food is excellent and the level of service to both children and parents is very, very good.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Gemma, the Nursery Manager, has been working in Early Years Education for twelve years. She first obtained a Level 3 qualification in childcare before advancing to university, where she earned a degree in Education Studies.


Her passion lies in providing the best possible outcomes for the next generation. She finds great fulfilment in helping children develop through their learning journeys and supporting them in their next steps. Gemma joined Bright Horizons at the beginning of 2017 as a Room Leader and progressed through various managerial roles before being promoted to Nursery Manager.


She looks forward to welcoming families to the nursery and supporting them throughout their experience.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Charlene is the Deputy Manager at Bright Horizons East Barnet. She began her journey with the company as a housekeeper, and it wasn’t long before she discovered a true passion for early years education. After completing her Level 3 qualification in childcare, Charlene quickly progressed to a Third in Charge role and soon after was promoted to Deputy Manager.


She is incredibly proud of how far she has come and is deeply committed to providing the best possible start for every child in the setting. Charlene is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children can thrive and develop a lifelong love of learning. She also takes great pride in supporting families and leading a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care and education.
