Bright Horizons East Barnet Day Nursery and Preschool

Staff are always extremely welcoming on arrival. They always greet my granddaughter by her name as they do all the other children. It is lovely to see the care they have for the children but the care, time and support given to parents and carers of the children is lovely. I trust that my granddaughter is in safe hands and is getting the best start in life. On pick up, I am always given a detailed run down of her day, which is lovely to be made a part of.

East Barnet nursery is fantastic, they do an amazing job looking after my son. They are caring, supportive and fun, everything you want for your child to grow and develop. The nursery facilities are great, the garden is wonderful with lots of stimulation and toys for the children to enjoy. Management have also made a huge effort in 2022 to decorate all of the rooms and to hold extra activities for parents and children. Thank you for taking such care in what you do, it makes me feel happy about leaving my child in your care when I've got a busy job.

I'm really happy with East Barnet Bright Horizons, they are a fantastic team. My daughter always looks forward to going, and I can see the staff genuinely care for her. It's lovely to hear about the activities she takes part in. We couldn't be happier!

I can't sing the praises of this nursery enough. All the staff in each room are hugely supportive of the kids and families. They really care about the kids and really focus on their development and how to help them progress. I would highly recommend this nursery.

The team at East Barnet Bright Horizons have been fantastic since our child started in the Baby Room and have really taken the care and effort to get to know their individual character, preferences and needs. Even with the recent closure, the staff worked hard to arrange alternative provision (which was also excellent) and to facilitate the children's return, so that they could settle back as well as possible. Our child loves going to see their friends there and getting to play with all the different toys/do the different activities each day. The new app has been really handy for keeping up-to-date with the daily activities and the staff always makes sure to keep us in the loop at collection. Overall, I'd strongly recommend the nursery and the friendly team.

My child has recently moved to the Preschool and the staff have been so attentive to us as a family. This is a very happy and safe environment for all, the staff are very much embedded in policy and procedure with well structured activities. I have felt really happy with the level of care in all areas provided so far.

Other reviews suggest that new staff have been recruited and the nursery is back up and running, but for us, the lasting impression of a complete lack of consideration for working families and children means we would not recommend Bright Horizons.

Very happy with East Barnet Nursery! Our daughter has been there for two and a half years and is very happy at the end of each day and loves to tell us about all the fun they had. During these challenging times and recent refurbishment, the team always tried only the best for the children, coming up with lots of new activities and the introduction of the family app is a great bonus to see what our kids do and eat throughout the day! I would highly recommend this nursery and the team who work there!

Our daughter looks forward to going to nursery every day. Definitely recommend. Love the app, as we can see what she does every day, including food and sleep.

We have been with Bright Horizons, East Barnet, since 2019 and have two children there now. We are beyond happy with the care they provide. The staff are all fantastic, so enthusiastic, responsive and build fantastic connections with the children. It’s so clear they love what they do and every week plan a range of amazing activities for the children, teaching them about a variety of topics, engaging their interest and curiosity and keeping it fun at the same time! The kids are always talking about what they did when they come home and are happy to go in each morning. Appreciated, there have been a few rocky moments over the last year, ultimately out of the control of the staff at East Barnet and they’ve dealt fantastically with whatever has been thrown their way and it’s been clearly demonstrated that they will always do their best with the children's best interests at heart. Look forward to the summer months and enjoying the new garden! Well done, East Barnet. Keep doing what you do.

From our own personal perspective the kids are thoroughly enjoying themselves and above that, each and every single staff member we interact with, including the manager and all the staff that work in both the pre-school room and toddler room, have been great. The programmes and activities, they have put in place, have been great for the kids and the fact our eldest, in particular, talks about it during the week, really shows how much they are enjoying themselves. Secondly, the updates we are getting, face to face and via the app has been great for us too. Just a special mention to the manager, who has really made us feel at ease following the changes. Approachable, keeps us informed, welcoming but also has really put things in place at the nursery, that keep the kids engaged (along with others)!

We started both of our children at Bright Horizons, East Barnet from the age of 2 years old. We’ve always found the staff to be friendly, caring and helpful and our children have really enjoyed their time at nursery.

My daughter has blossomed and developed so much since starting at East Barnet, Bright Horizons in March/April 2021. Even though the nursery closed for a few months to recruit substantive staff. Her transition to another Bright Horizons nursery, was handled really well and staff moved with her to support the transition. This was further planned when we moved back and my daughter absolutely loves being at nursery! I love the use of the app and all the feedback and pictures sent! The team are fantastic and I cannot thank them enough for all their hard work and care for my daughter!

Despite all the recent changes in the nursery, the team have been nothing but wonderful with us. We have recently been receiving lots more communication via the nursery's family app and they have also just had a garden refurb. No task is too big or too small and the management team are always so accommodating. My little one loves attending and talks so much about their day, at home.

Absolutely, love this nursery, as does my son. Always feel welcomed and well informed. My son looks forward to coming here. Highly recommend to everyone. He likes the food and loves his teachers. He sleeps well here and always tells me about the fun he has.

My child had been in this nursery for two years. And the manager is not a caring person. She did not help parents with payments and ignoring my emails during the lockdown. I was trying to pay the nursery every month by email and phones. She just totally ignored me for six months. Her behaviour already made me lose the universal credit which is about £3000 pounds because of her carelessness. She always tried to explain the matter was not her fault. Do not send your child to this nursery. Totally unhelpful and try to avoid their responsibility. I would like to give 0 stars on this nursery!

This is our second nursery following a house move. We were very happy with the first (not in the same neighbourhood), but we are at least equally happy with Bright Horizons. Our second child is in attendance (and the first one had also been previously), and we are very pleased with the extended opening hours, the quality of the food, the playing and learning facilities, but mostly the dedication of staff (from admin to key workers and all in between) who make the ambiance almost family like and the learning and socialising experience very rewarding for the children. We recommend the nursery without reservations.

I would like to be able to see more regular pics of my toddler doing activities in class as other branches.

We have been at Bright Horizons East Barnet for nearly two years now and are incredibly happy with the nursery and all the staff. Our son loves going into nursery and we have seen him thrive there. It is clear the staff are committed to their jobs and truly care about the children. I feel like our son (and the other children) are in a fun, caring and stimulating environment. The staff keep us well informed at all times and provide help and guidance readily when we have asked for it. This year especially they have worked very hard to keep the nursery running and safe during the pandemic and to keep all the children and staff as safe as possible. They have been brilliant at managing my son's allergies and making sure his food is safe for him. Well done team Bright Horizons East Barnet, you are all fantastic!

Thank you to the whole of the East Barnet nursery team. During the most difficult of times (COVID), the team have pulled together to maintain such a high standard of professionalism, hygiene, health and safety and customer service. I have seen first hand the positive impact that the team have had on my son, with all the fun activities arranged for him, the great food, friendly and truly caring staff that are with him. I am thankful for the efforts that all the staff put in and the meticulous eye for detail in the general operational running of the nursery. I feel safe and secure when my boy is with the staff here and look forward to more time, more fun and building more good memories with the team. I couldn't recommend this nursery more to those shopping around.
