Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School, Newburn

My daughter has been attending since she was 1 and is really happy there. The staff are all so lovely, caring and supportive. They were really helpful when it took a while for her to settle in at drop offs and when we have little blips with separation anxiety. They treat every child as an individual and know each of them so well, I can see how happy my little girl is each time I pick her up. She loves all the different activities and the outside space is amazing.

My little girl has been going to this nursery since six months old and she is now 3.5! She went there during the Covid time and beyond. I believe had it not been for this nursery, she would have felt the effects of Covid and been unsociable and not as advanced. However, with the help of this nursery, she is a funny, sociable, imaginative little girl who has excelled in her learning and academics due to this nursery. She loves her nursery staff (to the point imaginary play at home is being the girls and running a nursery). The updates on her well-being and things to work on at home help with what I should be doing at home. She also goes to school nursery two days a week, and she transitioned into that setting with no tears, no clinginess and lots of confidence, and I believe this is only due to the work and safety she feels at Newburn. The staff are friendly and amazing and know every child's personality, their emotional well-being and always move at their pace.

I’m so pleased with this nursery, I went to visit 5 other nurseries with my son before instantly deciding yes for Little Pioneers. Everyone there is so helpful, understanding and patient when my little boy was struggling with leaving me they came up with a plan for how to make it easier for both of us. They keep me up to date and he now has a great time when he’s there, I get lots of updates on how he is doing, I couldn’t recommend it enough. He doesn’t love leaving me still but by the time I go to pick him up he’s waving bye and blowing kisses to all the staff, it’s really nice to see and shows me how much they work with him to make him feel comfortable and happy there. This nursery is leaps and bounds ahead of the nursery my daughter went to I wouldn’t send my kids anywhere else now.

The team are fantastic! My son has been attending the nursery since he was 1, so has been through every class. The development, support and reassurance from the whole team are brilliant - even getting food ideas from the member of staff in the kitchen. We’ll be so sad to leave in September when he goes to school.

I very much love the nursery for my child. The staff are excellent and really care for the children. The activities are well-planned and thought out. The food is varied, and the outdoor space is great. The only flaw we have found is there seems to sometimes be a lack of communication between staff, be it for business or another reason, and sometimes getting a message across from one person to another is difficult, for example, it took quite a few sessions for the message of not having a nap time to become on board, due to staff communication (however, I do understand they are busy!). I do also wish there were more photos put onto the gallery to view at home. Aside from this and the occasional item of clothing being sent home to the wrong person, we haven't had any big issues. Staff have been more than helpful in his original settling in and are excellent when it comes to making him feel comfortable and happy. I would recommend and have done to anyone.

Lovely nursery. My daughter is quiet but says she enjoys going and is always happy when I pick her up. The children have the freedom to choose their activities, and the staff give good feedback on every collection.

Our child really enjoys nursery and has made lots of friends. He comes home singing a multi of nursery rhymes and sometimes teaches me and my husband a thing or two about them! The nursery staff are lovely and are so warm and friendly with the children. He gets lots of time outdoors and making crafts...the nursery have also hosted a couple of themed days this year which have been lovely. Couldn't rate the nursery highly enough!

My little boy has been attending this nursery for almost a year and I am more than happy with the education and care he receives. The nursery has up-to-date resources and a lovely environment. I am always kept up to date with my child’s day via the online journal system and the staff in the room are always available for verbal handovers and updates too. My favourite thing about Newburn nursery is the outdoor time they provide my son with, he is a very active little boy and he always has access to the outdoor space at this nursery no matter what the weather is like. He has the opportunity to play, explore, learn and develop in the way he loves to and we really appreciate this as a family.

We have always had a friendly reception, my son loves coming and seeing his 'teacher's' and friends. He loves the activities they do with him. Helpful staff, they have been very supportive to us during difficult times at home.

The school is brilliant for both kids and parents. They are perfectly trained to keep the children up to date with learning steps and are so supportive to help and advise what to do to help your little one. The amount of support I have personally received as a mother to a child is another reason why my child attends this school. They are always open with happy smiles and faces, and you will always be greeted with a warm welcome. The different play areas are clean and tidy and the kids are always playing and having fun. Since attending this school my child is so advanced and happy in social situations.

Our son has attended from 9 months old. Through the initial settling in period and transition to the older rooms, he has been supported and looked after. He loves attending nursery now and has a great relationship with staff. They do lots of new activities with the children to keep them entertained and have a lovely environment for him to thrive. He loves the large outdoor space and spends a lot of time outside. They also take the children out locally for walks.

Fantastic Nursery! Staff are very caring, polite and gentle. Very lucky to have my child in this Nursery. Everyone in his room looks after him with the upmost care and attention. Would recommend this nursery to everyone.

Our boy started at the nursery when he was 10 months old. He is now 27 months and is really thriving and I think this is due to all the experiences he gets at nursery. He is always so happy to be there, from the start to the end of the day. The ladies are all really attentive and listen to anything we want them to know about our child, for example, he went through a phase of bad eczema and they all followed his plan perfectly and it didn’t take long for his skin to improve. I recommend the nursery to everyone I know and I am so happy that my child attends here.

My son has been going to Little Pioneers Nursery for 4 days a week for nearly a year now, and we couldn't be happier. The staff, facilities and care have all been excellent, and I have seen my son thrive, developing skills and friendships. The learning goals are tailored to my son's interests and they stretch his skills in fun ways and the staff are happy to accommodate, eg using cloth nappies. They even managed to get my contact napper to nap! We're completely happy with our choice to send our son here.

Fantastic nursery, my little boy loves going every week, he enjoys everything about it from the lovely friendly and caring staff to the fantastic fresh, healthy and diverse choice in meals. My daughter also enjoyed attending this nursery before she went into school, can't recommend it enough!

My nephew has developed very well and has turned into a lovely, happy little boy. I believe the nursery has encouraged this. The staff are always very caring and understanding. My nephew loves coming to nursery. He loves playing with the toy cars they have - especially. I'm very happy with this nursery and I'm glad my nephew has a place here.

Excellent nursery. Our daughter enjoys and looks forward to the weekdays so that she can go to the nursery. Our daughter has also developed extensively and growing to be a very confident little toddler.

We've been using Co-op Childcare Newburn Day Nursery for over six years and couldn't ask for a better nursery. Both our children have loved coming here, the team are amazing, open and welcoming. The facilities are great and the children are encouraged to be independent and confident.

An amazing nursery. I am on to my 4th grandchild attending this nursery. I couldn’t recommend it enough. The staff are amazing, they are all caring, helpful and very friendly. The outdoor areas are great, the children have so much space to play and explore. The food is excellent with a good choice on the menus.

An amazing nursery, all the staff are lovely and always go out their way for each child. My little boy is autistic and each and every member of staff has helped him come on so much since he started. They have been such a blessing to both my kids that go there. Honestly couldn’t recommend this nursery enough.
