Chrysalis Day Nursery provide high quality learning for children aged three months to five years old.
The team of qualified and enthusiastic staff are committed to providing the best possible childcare; many staff members have worked there for over 15 years, something the nursery is very proud of.

The team pride themselves on providing a home from home, family environment where each child feels valued, welcome and secure, and can form a strong bond with their key person. The team have amazing relationships with all Chrysalis parents and love the feedback they receive from them about the nursery and the lovely staff. To ensure effective communication between parents/carers and the nursery at all times, there is an open door policy in place.

Children are actively encouraged to explore, learn, communicate and interact with one another. The team believe that children learn through play and the nursery’s extensive curriculum enables children to reach their full potential. They offer a huge range of different activities, to promote all areas of learning, they always put the children first in everything they do and pride themselves on being the best.

My daughter has been with Chrysalis Day Nursery for close to a year now and overall my partner and I have been extremely happy with her level of care. The staff have been extremely helpful and my daughter clearly loves being there. She regularly comes home singing a new song or playing a new game and
she has had a strong bond with her key workers at the nursery. The nursery has also been very accommodating of our different requirements when it comes to food and they have also helped us establish new routines which have helped at home.
Overall, I would highly recommend Chrysalis Day Nursery to friends and family.

As soon as I visited Chrysalis Day Nursery, I knew it was the perfect place for my daughter. I would have no hesitation recommending this nursery to my friends and family, it’s a fantastic place.
As a parent, you need to feel 100% trust and confidence in a nursery you’re contemplating leaving your
baby at, you definitely get this at Chrysalis! I’d been anxious about leaving her when my wife went back to work, but the endless reassurance and support for both the children and parents at Chrysalis is brilliant. I’m reminded that I can ring for updates as many times as I feel necessary, which on top of the detailed daily updates and photos I receive of my little girl's nursery days, shows me how much of a lovely time she’s having. I love how the nursery makes me feel so involved in her nursery life.

My granddaughter has been at Chrysalis Nursery for a year. I've found the staff dedicated, caring and very approachable. When I drop her off in the morning, she is eager to get out of the car and run in, and to me, that speaks volumes. The staff are always eager to share what she's been up to during
the day so I can talk to her about her day on the way home. The admin staff are excellent if my daughter's been ill, they've always tried their best to take her for extra sessions where possible.

Our little girl has attended Chrysalis since she was 9 months old and she has always loved her time there. It made it so much easier going back to work knowing that she was settled, happy and so well looked after. There are so many different activities to do each day, it doesn't matter if they don't
like one element as there are so many other options for them. Our little girl has made so many great friends, it's wonderful to watch how they grow together through the different classes. Thank you so much to all the ladies for all you have done and easing any concerns we might have.

My son started nursery in January 2019, just after turning 2. He is quite an out going child but very emotionally attached to me. We struggled for the first couple of weeks with him going into nursery and leaving me. He didn’t really talk/play much with the other children. However, fast forward to today
and he’s a completely different boy. He now skips into nursery, gets his coat off and goes into the classroom. He is very settled and that’s down to the wonderful work the ladies do. He is eating much better now because meals are at set times and I have followed the time schedule at home that they use in nursery. The ladies have been amazing helping him potty train and we are now going full days with no pull-ups on and hardly any accidents if any. He loves nursery and comes home singing new songs and telling me about his lovely day. He’s so more aware of what things are and how to do things. I love this nursery and I know I’m dropping my son off at a place where everyone loves what they do.

The holiday club is an excellent childcare resource for myself and my child really enjoys attending. The staff are always really friendly and welcoming. My child thoroughly enjoys her time at the nursery, considering she only attends holiday club she feels like she is returning to a safe friendly place.
The food is always healthy and nutritious which I appreciate as I like that she has a balanced diet. She always comes home and tells me what she has done and how many new games she has learnt whilst there. I would fully endorse and recommend the nursery as a safe place for children to attend.

My little girl has been attending Chrysalis since September and when we first walked in last year I knew that this was the place for her.
Other than being left with her grandparents at times, she had not been left with anyone else and to say I was nervous was an understatement. But, I needn’t have
been as the staff were so welcoming and have done everything they can to make my little girl feel comfortable and welcomed.
To know when I drop her off on a Monday and Friday that she is going to have lots of fun means the absolute world to me and I don’t think I will ever be able to thank the staff enough for everything that they have done for us.

My little girl loves nursery. I decided in early 2018 that I wanted to move my daughter to a new nursery due to lack of empathy. The moment Chrysalis answered the phone, I knew that this could be "the one" and it is!
The support and kindness the staff give to myself and my daughter is just perfect.
We are both a happy mummy and little girl with Chrysalis in our lives.

Both of our sons have attended Chrysalis, with our youngest currently in Butterflies room. As a family we have had a great experience with the whole nursery and find all staff to be caring and professional, taking great care of all the children. We feel safe in the knowledge that our boys are always

Chrysalis Nursery is first class and when choosing the right nursery for our son (which he has been attending for two years now), we realised from inception, this ticked all the boxes in terms of a capacious layout, defined rooms for the different children's age groups and a really pleasant/inviting
large outdoor area with a myriad of indoor/outdoor activities that the staff rotate on a daily basis.
Furthermore, they have a fantastic on-site chef who prepares a variety of different fresh foods (and caters for all dietary/allergy requirements if required).
However, the real 'jewel in the crown' is the wonderful staff that work there, which include ALL the ladies on the front line and supported by a fantastic management team, led by the manager who also interacts with the children as/when time allows. Collectively this is what makes this nursery such a fabulous place for our son who enthuses daily, about his typical working day (or should that be, play). Well done to everyone!

My son started at Chrysalis in September 2018 in the preschool room. He absolutely loves it and has settled in so well. The preschool room is well structured and the staff are amazing, so patient and kind. They have made my son and us, as a family, feel welcomed. The office staff are helpful and always
make time to speak to you. They are also accommodating and flexible to your child's individual needs.


The nursery and preschool always have events going on to get involved in but at the same time, there is no pressure to do so.


The food is varied and healthy. My son never goes hungry. I sometimes wish I could stay for lunch!


Although my son has only been at the nursery a short time, I would highly recommend it.

Chrysalis Nursery is excellent. My daughter is very happy, loves playing and having a great time. The staff are amazing. Very caring and friendly. They make myself and my daughter very safe and at ease. I could not recommend this nursery any more than I do. The best nursery by a mile within the area.

My son attended Chrysalis from the age of 2 until he started School and he loved it, every single day. The key skills he developed at Chrysalis, both social and academic, helped create the foundations he needed to start school as a happy and confident little boy. Years later, when we needed childcare
for his younger sister, we didn't hesitate or consider any other nurseries; Chrysalis was the only place we wanted her to be and she's currently enjoying time in Cocoons.


The rooms are homely, creative, fun, educational, with plenty of safe green space on site for them to play outdoors in the fresh air.


The staff at Chrysalis, from the lovely ladies in the rooms to the amazing management team in the office, are friendly, approachable, and supportive of working parents. I've never felt that the staff were simply 'doing their job', rather they genuinely love what they do and the children who attend. Highly recommend!

Both of my children (age 6 and 9) attended the holiday club at Chrysalis Day Nursery over the summer holiday in 2018. They both thoroughly enjoyed all of the varied activities and had "full" days. Plenty of outside space to play in and a healthy menu.

It has been a pleasure for my child to attend Chrysalis, she has come on leaps and bounds with her speech, social skills and play. There has never been a day where she has not wanted to go, and sometimes doesn't want to leave, which is partly down to the ladies that entertain and educate her 5 days
a week, she has a strong bond with the ladies and loves to see them every day.


She enjoys the healthy balanced meals that are cooked by the nursery chef, and always fills me in on what she's had when I pick her up.


Overall I would recommend this nursery to anyone that is looking for an outstanding nursery.

My son has been SO happy at nursery and we have had no issues leaving him, knowing he is safe, well looked after and having amazing times! I was so emotional for him to leave for school and a big part is because we will miss Chrysalis SO much!

We have been part of the Chrysalis family now for 5 years with our son and daughter both attending and thoroughly enjoying their time in nursery. Our son is now at school but has been to the super holiday club too. The relationships and bond that all of the staff create with each child is so special
and reassuring to us as parents. A huge range of activities, both indoor and outdoor, are available throughout each and everyday guaranteeing 100% enjoyment for the children. The attention to detail of all staff is superb and nothing is ever too much trouble. We highly recommend the nursery, it is quite simply fantastic!

My nephew has been at Chrysalis Day Nursery 3 years now. He has come on so much, the staff are lovely and very friendly also very approachable which is great to be able to speak to any of the management and all of the staff. The hygiene is excellent, I have been to collect my nephew a few times and
the nursery is managed to a very high standard, I would highly recommend the nursery, it is a lovely place from the few times I have been.

Both of my boys attend. My eldest from 10months - preschool. Meet the wonderful managers and carers first hand and you won’t look back. All rooms have caring and thorough staff. There is a wide age range of staff and a couple of men.


As a working family, I must say the flexibility and understanding

of this nursery is outstanding. They have a really sensible approach to childhood illness too.


My slight concern was the lack of green space but they have lovely gardens and equipment. They take them on walks.


In preschool, they are preparing my son well for school. He has had the opportunity to enjoy tennis/football/music without extra cost.


They have done plenty of art and messy play. The nursery clearly supports reading. The nativity was an absolute gem! Every child had a role they were proud of and lots of singing.


They have some well-educated staff who are well informed of EYFS. The nursery communicates with parents very well. There’s an app. The staff are approachable and available.

My children have both attended Chrysalis so we have been a part of the Chrysalis family for the past 8 years. I am so thankful to all of the staff for providing such a nurturing and enriching environment for them.
My youngest is now set to leave and we will miss being part of the family. I am sure
we will continue to use your holiday club as my eldest has a fantastic time there and never wants to come home! I usually end up sitting in the beautiful garden (eating ice pops) watching the children perform a show before we can leave!
All the way through nursery, the amazing ladies have always done all they can to settle my children, make them feel at ease and feel special and proud of their achievements.
On grandparents day, my parents and in-laws were blown away by the nursery - we still talk about the fabulous time they had. The graduation ceremony is something we will always remember.
Thank you Chrysalis for providing such exceptional care and learning opportunities for my children.

If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 100 number of registered child places is 20, which has been reached with 23 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
