Chrysalis Day Nursery provide high quality learning for children aged three months to five years old.
The team of qualified and enthusiastic staff are committed to providing the best possible childcare; many staff members have worked there for over 15 years, something the nursery is very proud of.

The team pride themselves on providing a home from home, family environment where each child feels valued, welcome and secure, and can form a strong bond with their key person. The team have amazing relationships with all Chrysalis parents and love the feedback they receive from them about the nursery and the lovely staff - this can be seen by their review score of 10. To ensure effective communication between parents/carers and the nursery at all times, there is an open door policy in place.

Children are actively encouraged to explore, learn, communicate and interact with one another. The team believe that children learn through play and the nursery’s extensive curriculum enables children to reach their full potential. They offer a huge range of different activities, to promote all areas of learning, they always put the children first in everything they do and pride themselves on being the best.

My son started at Chrysalis when he was approaching 2 years 4 months. He had never attended another nursery and was very reluctant to leave my side! As soon as I made the initial call to book our first visit, I knew it was the right nursery for him. The staff were very warm and welcoming and understanding
of how daunting it was for my son. My son soon settled in and although he still has his little 'wobbles' about leaving me, he really does enjoy his time at nursery. Every day is varied and action packed!
Communication from all of the staff at Chrysalis is outstanding whether it is face to face or by email. A report on my sons day is easily accessible but staff are more than happy and eager to tell me when I collect him at the end of his session.
The nursery and its excellent staff, have a very personal approach and make everyday matter. I would highly recommend Chrysalis and will miss it when my son leaves for school.

Chrysalis Day Nursery was home the moment we stepped through the doors on our enquiry visit. It's a nursery school with an unusual ability to make you feel very much accepted, understood and part of the family right from the word go.


Although we are British at heart, we moved here from South Africa

but I was made to feel like a local. I have had a hard time letting go of Chrysalis Day Nursery as my son moves onto 'big school,' however, he has been so nurtured and loved at Chrysalis Day Nursery, that he has sailed through the transition absolutely brimming with confidence and extremely well prepared. We had been through a few different nursery schools by the time we found Chrysalis Day Nursery and it was like finding a peaceful haven where my son began to thrive, make friends and feel genuinely valued and part of a very caring community. The staff work hard with high levels of dedication, education, attention to detail and passion. They go the extra mile as a way of life at Chrysalis Day Nursery and its made it such a special time for us!

My daughter is almost 4 and my son is almost 3 and both have attended Chrysalis since being 9 months old. I cannot recommend or thank them enough for the care they have and continue to provide. Due to eczema, asthma and allergies, my son requires extra time and care. Every member of staff has taken
a genuine interest in his care including the managers and ladies in the kitchen. Nothing has been too much trouble supporting me in making changes in his diet and routine. Talking to the ladies, I truly feel they take the time to get to know my children, their individual personalities and quirks really tailoring the care they provide to suit and enhance each child. They are also on hand to support me in any wobbles I have which, in my view, is going above and beyond. Something the staff/family at Chrysalis do regularly.

Our nearly 3-year-old son is currently in Chrysalis and started just before his 1st birthday, our 6-year-old daughter also attended just before she was 1 all the way through until she left for school. As any parent knows leaving your child is a daunting experience, with the team at Chrysalis you are
very quickly put at ease. It feels like you are leaving them with family. You are greeted warmly and personally every morning and there are always hugs on offer if your little one is a bit reluctant to let you go!
Both our children love/loved their time at Chrysalis, both have developed hugely socially/emotionally and physically. Both are very bright confident little people. Chrysalis has played a huge part in this.
Nothing is too much trouble and there is always someone available to answer any questions. The staff really are invested in your child.
We love this nursery and are so happy to be part of the Chrysalis family.

Our daughter started at Chrysalis Day Nursery in 2015 and from her first day she was welcomed into what feels like a big family. She is treated as an individual and the staff who have worked with her have encouraged her to develop as her own little person.


The staff have supported us through various

milestones, e.g. the Cocoons ladies helped us through potty training and the Butterflies ladies are in the process of helping us transition away from nap times.


The range of activities is excellent and it provides the children with a great variety to help them learn and develop new skills/knowledge. I especially like how they spend as much time in the garden as possible.


We feel that our preferences are respected; this was evidenced during Easter when the managers spoke to us personally about an event that was planned, as we are not a religious family.


We would highly recommend Chrysalis and feel it is the best start we could have hoped to give our daughter.

I have 2 children who attend Chrysalis Day Nursery. My eldest son starts school in September and has been at the nursery since he was 9 months old, my youngest is 2 next month.
I am so pleased I decided to send them here and honestly cannot speak any more highly if them.
There is something extremely
special about Chrysalis, all the staff are lovely and you can see they love their jobs - the years of service throughout the nursery speak volumes.
The way I've seen my children develop as they progress through the different rooms is wonderful as a Mother.
The effort they put into the many different activities and marking various occasions is incredible, this I know does not happen in many nurseries.
For me Chrysalis has gone above and beyond on many occasions when I've needed them and I can't thank them enough, my children think of it as a 2nd family. I wouldn't change anything!

My daughter has been attending Chrysalis Day Nursery for 18 months and has had a fantastic experience. The staff are so supportive and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Her transition to preschool was seamless and we are really pleased with her development. We enjoy reading daily updates on the
app and seeing lots of photos and videos of the activities they do. As a family, we are all going to miss Chrysalis so much once she starts school but hopes to return to holiday club and continue to grow the fantastic experience she has had there. We would highly recommend this nursery!

After moving into the area just over 2 years ago with our 2-year-old, we felt that we would never find a nursery as good as the one we had left behind but then we found Chrysalis and we have never looked back!


Both of our children (4 years and 20 months) now attend the nursery and there isn't a

day where one of them has cried when we have dropped them off, the staff are amazing and both children are flourishing educationally, emotionally and personally.


At one point I was having some behavioural issues with my son at home, I confided in a member of staff who was extremely helpful and restored my faith and confidence that it wasn't my parenting and that my son didn't have 666 imprinted somewhere on the back of his head!! :-) This was a really challenging time for us but they supported us throughout.

My 4-year-old daughter has attended Chrysalis full-time since she was 10 months old. It is an excellent nursery with a real family feel and staff who genuinely care. There is an extremely low turnover of staff but also a good range of ages providing the experience and consistency that I felt was important.


My daughter has thrived at Chrysalis and I think she is confident, polite, caring, a good eater and speaks well, largely because of the time she has spent there. They have lots of outdoor time, do such a variety of activities and she amazes me each week with the things she learns there and has always loved attending.


We have found communication with parents is excellent and they support and care for your family as much as your child. We particularly found this when our newborn daughter was in hospital for 4 weeks earlier this year and they were a significant support to our whole family. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Chrysalis.

Chrysalis Day Nursery is an outstanding nursery, proof of it's recent Ofsted report which endorses my experiences. The staff are professional and child centred and have formed positive relationships with both of my children. Communication is excellent on both a day to day basis and also regarding educational
advancement a detailed assessment is in place and daily planning of activities detailed and in line with NC. There is a true sense of community and my little girls have advanced in a short time. They are happy and content thanks to the quality care that they receive.

I cannot praise this nursery enough. My little boy started preschool at Chrysalis a year ago and immediately he proved us wrong. He was very quiet and shy, so we thought we would have trouble getting him to go but not one day has he not wanted to go and stay. The ladies are a credit, they are all lovely
and make not only the children but parents feel at ease. They have all done wonders with his eating, from the fussiest of eaters of my 1of 6 children he now asks for vegetables and fruit, this is also very appreciated and an amazing step. Each day he comes home full of knowledge of something new he has learnt and is extremely proud of himself when telling us, which is fantastic for his confidence. I cannot fault this nursery in any way. They excel in every way from start to finish, from the settling in process, teaching, having fun and getting ready for school process. Just a shame he has to leave here to go to school shortly.

Our daughter has been attending Chrysalis since she was 10 months old. When we initially visited the nursery, our first impressions were very positive. It's clear the nursery have a strong focus on educational and play activities, complimented by a very experienced team - some staff members having 10
years + service, with others having over 20 years service. Given the huge experience of the team, it gave us the confidence to know that they have probably dealt with every possible scenario since Chrysalis has opened. Our daughter is in safe hands.

My daughter aged 3 started in Caterpillars and is currently settling into Pre-school. She has loved every minute and still gets excited to come now, the staff in all rooms have always made her feel welcome, safe and loved. My second child aged 1 has just joined the Caterpillar room, the fact I have
brought my second here speaks volumes. Both have formed special bonds with all the ladies and nothing is ever too much. They make us all feel part of their family and I trust them fully with my children. Their outstanding Ofsted reports are well deserved for excellent work they do.

I knew I wanted my son to go to this nursery after our first visit, it had such a lovely feel and the staff were so welcoming. I particularly liked the fact that the staff were all different ages and also that they actually had all been there a very long time so I knew there would be consistency with
who would look after him. He has been there for 8 months now and he's loved it. They do so many activities and it's great because they upload photos so you can see what they've been up to. The staff have been so kind and caring both to my little ones, but also to me as well as a first-time mum they have been great. I joke with them that I would like my little one to stay there till he's at least 18! Lovely nursery and can't recommend it enough.

Our son attended Chrysalis from 7 months and absolutely loved going. I never had any doubts over the care he received so when we needed childcare for our little girl we went straight to Chrysalis. It was so lovely to see many of the staff were the same, even though there had been a change in ownership,
and they all remembered my little boy. My daughter has now been at the nursery for a month and it's been such an easy transition. I can already see how much she loves spending time with the ladies and the other children there. She's developed a wonderful bond with her keyworker and will now reach her arms out in a morning for a cuddle with her and has lots more cuddles to give her during the day too. I've felt confident from the 1st day that I left her and know the skills and knowledge the staff have will help her have a fantastic time, just as her big brother did. He has grown into a confident, bright little boy and we believe Chrysalis played a huge part in this.

We moved from a previous day nursery to Chrysalis. From the start the difference in care was astonishing. I wish I had the courage to have done it earlier.
The staff are incredible - a team that works like a tight family. There is no weak link in the staff. It is so wonderful to see many staff that
have been with Chrysalis since the beginning.
With regards to dietary requirements/food allergies they couldn't have been more helpful. They really made the transition easy for the children and this is the real heart of Chrysalis - always putting the children first.


My son had several operations last year and some quite challenging medical requirements afterwards. Without even blinking the staff in Butterflies just made him feel completely relaxed, dealt with his needs without question and really did make us relaxed as parents during what could have been a very stressful time. I honestly cannot thank Chrysalis enough for making my children strong, beautiful, kind and caring natured.

I have 2 children, one who finished to go to school in September 2016 and a 17 month old who is in currently in Caterpillars. I first started using Chrysalis when my first child was 13 months old (3 yrs ago), I came to Chrysalis from another nursery as my child had specific needs and I was unhappy with
her care from the previous nursery. From the start, Chrysalis have provided a very high standard of care and has supported me as a working mother. As well as having a very high level of care, they have provided a fun and friendly environment for both my children and me as a parent.


Recently we have been using the Holiday Club, which is absolutely superb and very good value for money. My eldest comes home very excited by all the activities she has done with the holiday club leader. Very well organised and again fun for all, in addition, it's so nice to know she has a hot meal at lunch or tea.
Overall, I would highly recommend this brilliant nursery.

Entrusting your child into someone else's care is, of course, a daunting prospect. Ten years ago we found ourselves in this position. We visited a number of nurseries in the area and were still wrestling with the decision. However, as soon as we visited Chrysalis, my husband and I immediately agreed
this would be our choice. Our first son attended from Sept 2006 to Aug 2010 and loved every day and still has very fond memories of his time at nursery. Our second son attended from Feb 2010 to Aug 2013 and once again thoroughly enjoyed nursery life. Our daughter started in Jan 2014 and is currently in the Pre-school room, she has formed a good group of friends and is very fond of all the ladies.


Everything about Chrysalis is excellent - the wonderful staff and management team, the organisation, the freshly prepared food, the day-to-day care, the activities, the preparation for school and the communication.


We would not hesitate in recommending Chrysalis - and have done to many friends!

My daughter went to Chrysalis Day nursery from 8 months old to 4 years old. Chrysalis was the first nursery that I looked around when choosing a nursery and I liked the people and facilities so much that I didn't look at anymore! They have looked after her and us with such care and understanding.


Every

room is staffed by caring and knowledgeable staff who build close relationships with the children. My daughter knows the name of every member of staff in the whole place. It made it much easier to go to work knowing that my daughter was being cared for in such a great environment.


The food choices are fantastic and the activities and facilities have always kept my daughter entertained and learning. She has made some great friends in her time at Chrysalis.
