Our daughter started at Chrysalis Day Nursery in 2015 and from her first day she was welcomed into what feels like a big family. She is treated as an individual and the staff who have worked with her have encouraged her to develop as her own little person.

The staff have supported us through various milestones, e.g. the Cocoons ladies helped us through potty training and the Butterflies ladies are in the process of helping us transition away from nap times.

The range of activities is excellent and it provides the children with a great variety to help them learn and develop new skills/knowledge. I especially like how they spend as much time in the garden as possible.

We feel that our preferences are respected; this was evidenced during Easter when the managers spoke to us personally about an event that was planned, as we are not a religious family.

We would highly recommend Chrysalis and feel it is the best start we could have hoped to give our daughter.

Thank you to you all.

I have 2 children who attend Chrysalis Day Nursery. My eldest son starts school in September and has been at the nursery since he was 9 months old, my youngest is 2 next month.
I am so pleased I decided to send them here and honestly cannot speak any more highly if them.
There is something extremely special about Chrysalis, all the staff are lovely and you can see they love their jobs - the years of service throughout the nursery speak volumes.
The way I've seen my children develop as they progress through the different rooms is wonderful as a Mother.
The effort they put into the many different activities and marking various occasions is incredible, this I know does not happen in many nurseries.
For me Chrysalis has gone above and beyond on many occasions when I've needed them and I can't thank them enough, my children think of it as a 2nd family. I wouldn't change anything!

My daughter has been attending Chrysalis Day Nursery for 18 months and has had a fantastic experience. The staff are so supportive and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Her transition to preschool was seamless and we are really pleased with her development. We enjoy reading daily updates on the app and seeing lots of photos and videos of the activities they do. As a family, we are all going to miss Chrysalis so much once she starts school but hopes to return to holiday club and continue to grow the fantastic experience she has had there. We would highly recommend this nursery!

My daughter started at Chrysalis in February 2017 - at 9 months old, attending 'caterpillars' once a week. I cannot recommend Chrysalis highly enough - from the first visits to the present time - the staff have been wonderful and my daughter's care is fantastic. The staff in the baby room looking after my daughter are exceptional, I never thought I would feel so reassured leaving her in someone else's care, but they have made the process of returning to work, for myself, so much easier. The care they give to each child is individual and nothing is ever too much trouble - my daughter can sleep, eat or even have a cuddle - whenever is best for her and that is so reassuring for mummy and daddy! My daughter has progressed so much since starting at nursery - we cant thank the wonderful team at Chrysalis enough! Special thanks to the office staff/nursery managers who always encourage us to call and check how she is - whenever we want - it is never too much trouble. I would recommend this nursery without hesitation.

After moving into the area just over 2 years ago with our 2-year-old, we felt that we would never find a nursery as good as the one we had left behind but then we found Chrysalis and we have never looked back!

Both of our children (4 years and 20 months) now attend the nursery and there isn't a day where one of them has cried when we have dropped them off, the staff are amazing and both children are flourishing educationally, emotionally and personally.

At one point I was having some behavioural issues with my son at home, I confided in a member of staff who was extremely helpful and restored my faith and confidence that it wasn't my parenting and that my son didn't have 666 imprinted somewhere on the back of his head!! :-) This was a really challenging time for us but they supported us throughout.

For anyone looking for a nursery look no further, everything you could possibly ask for in a nursery is right here at Chrysalis!

My 4-year-old daughter has attended Chrysalis full-time since she was 10 months old. It is an excellent nursery with a real family feel and staff who genuinely care. There is an extremely low turnover of staff but also a good range of ages providing the experience and consistency that I felt was important.

My daughter has thrived at Chrysalis and I think she is confident, polite, caring, a good eater and speaks well, largely because of the time she has spent there. They have lots of outdoor time, do such a variety of activities and she amazes me each week with the things she learns there and has always loved attending.

We have found communication with parents is excellent and they support and care for your family as much as your child. We particularly found this when our newborn daughter was in hospital for 4 weeks earlier this year and they were a significant support to our whole family. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Chrysalis.

Chrysalis Day Nursery is an outstanding nursery, proof of it's recent Ofsted report which endorses my experiences. The staff are professional and child centred and have formed positive relationships with both of my children. Communication is excellent on both a day to day basis and also regarding educational advancement a detailed assessment is in place and daily planning of activities detailed and in line with NC. There is a true sense of community and my little girls have advanced in a short time. They are happy and content thanks to the quality care that they receive.

I cannot praise this nursery enough. My little boy started preschool at Chrysalis a year ago and immediately he proved us wrong. He was very quiet and shy, so we thought we would have trouble getting him to go but not one day has he not wanted to go and stay. The ladies are a credit, they are all lovely and make not only the children but parents feel at ease. They have all done wonders with his eating, from the fussiest of eaters of my 1of 6 children he now asks for vegetables and fruit, this is also very appreciated and an amazing step. Each day he comes home full of knowledge of something new he has learnt and is extremely proud of himself when telling us, which is fantastic for his confidence. I cannot fault this nursery in any way. They excel in every way from start to finish, from the settling in process, teaching, having fun and getting ready for school process. Just a shame he has to leave here to go to school shortly.

Our daughter has been attending Chrysalis since she was 10 months old. When we initially visited the nursery, our first impressions were very positive. It's clear the nursery have a strong focus on educational and play activities, complimented by a very experienced team - some staff members having 10 years + service, with others having over 20 years service. Given the huge experience of the team, it gave us the confidence to know that they have probably dealt with every possible scenario since Chrysalis has opened. Our daughter is in safe hands.

My daughter aged 3 started in Caterpillars and is currently settling into Pre-school. She has loved every minute and still gets excited to come now, the staff in all rooms have always made her feel welcome, safe and loved. My second child aged 1 has just joined the Caterpillar room, the fact I have brought my second here speaks volumes. Both have formed special bonds with all the ladies and nothing is ever too much. They make us all feel part of their family and I trust them fully with my children. Their outstanding Ofsted reports are well deserved for excellent work they do.

My little boy has been attending Chrysalis since he was 9 months old(He's now three). My little boy totally adores his time at nursery and has made some fantastic friends and loves all the ladies that help to look after him. All the ladies know him really well, his likes and dislikes and nothing is too much trouble for them. It really is a home from home and I wouldn't out my little boy in any other nursery.

I knew I wanted my son to go to this nursery after our first visit, it had such a lovely feel and the staff were so welcoming. I particularly liked the fact that the staff were all different ages and also that they actually had all been there a very long time so I knew there would be consistency with who would look after him. He has been there for 8 months now and he's loved it. They do so many activities and it's great because they upload photos so you can see what they've been up to. The staff have been so kind and caring both to my little ones, but also to me as well as a first-time mum they have been great. I joke with them that I would like my little one to stay there till he's at least 18! Lovely nursery and can't recommend it enough.

Our son attended Chrysalis from 7 months and absolutely loved going. I never had any doubts over the care he received so when we needed childcare for our little girl we went straight to Chrysalis. It was so lovely to see many of the staff were the same, even though there had been a change in ownership, and they all remembered my little boy. My daughter has now been at the nursery for a month and it's been such an easy transition. I can already see how much she loves spending time with the ladies and the other children there. She's developed a wonderful bond with her keyworker and will now reach her arms out in a morning for a cuddle with her and has lots more cuddles to give her during the day too. I've felt confident from the 1st day that I left her and know the skills and knowledge the staff have will help her have a fantastic time, just as her big brother did. He has grown into a confident, bright little boy and we believe Chrysalis played a huge part in this.

We moved from a previous day nursery to Chrysalis. From the start the difference in care was astonishing. I wish I had the courage to have done it earlier.
The staff are incredible - a team that works like a tight family. There is no weak link in the staff. It is so wonderful to see many staff that have been with Chrysalis since the beginning.
With regards to dietary requirements/food allergies they couldn't have been more helpful. They really made the transition easy for the children and this is the real heart of Chrysalis - always putting the children first.

My son had several operations last year and some quite challenging medical requirements afterwards. Without even blinking the staff in Butterflies just made him feel completely relaxed, dealt with his needs without question and really did make us relaxed as parents during what could have been a very stressful time. I honestly cannot thank Chrysalis enough for making my children strong, beautiful, kind and caring natured.

Thank you.

I have 2 children, one who finished to go to school in September 2016 and a 17 month old who is in currently in Caterpillars. I first started using Chrysalis when my first child was 13 months old (3 yrs ago), I came to Chrysalis from another nursery as my child had specific needs and I was unhappy with her care from the previous nursery. From the start, Chrysalis have provided a very high standard of care and has supported me as a working mother. As well as having a very high level of care, they have provided a fun and friendly environment for both my children and me as a parent.

Recently we have been using the Holiday Club, which is absolutely superb and very good value for money. My eldest comes home very excited by all the activities she has done with the holiday club leader. Very well organised and again fun for all, in addition, it's so nice to know she has a hot meal at lunch or tea.
Overall, I would highly recommend this brilliant nursery.

Entrusting your child into someone else's care is, of course, a daunting prospect. Ten years ago we found ourselves in this position. We visited a number of nurseries in the area and were still wrestling with the decision. However, as soon as we visited Chrysalis, my husband and I immediately agreed this would be our choice. Our first son attended from Sept 2006 to Aug 2010 and loved every day and still has very fond memories of his time at nursery. Our second son attended from Feb 2010 to Aug 2013 and once again thoroughly enjoyed nursery life. Our daughter started in Jan 2014 and is currently in the Pre-school room, she has formed a good group of friends and is very fond of all the ladies.

Everything about Chrysalis is excellent - the wonderful staff and management team, the organisation, the freshly prepared food, the day-to-day care, the activities, the preparation for school and the communication.

We would not hesitate in recommending Chrysalis - and have done to many friends!

My daughter went to Chrysalis Day nursery from 8 months old to 4 years old. Chrysalis was the first nursery that I looked around when choosing a nursery and I liked the people and facilities so much that I didn't look at anymore! They have looked after her and us with such care and understanding.

Every room is staffed by caring and knowledgeable staff who build close relationships with the children. My daughter knows the name of every member of staff in the whole place. It made it much easier to go to work knowing that my daughter was being cared for in such a great environment.

The food choices are fantastic and the activities and facilities have always kept my daughter entertained and learning. She has made some great friends in her time at Chrysalis.

A great place full of care and fun.

We couldn't be happier with the level of care that Chrysalis provide for our daughter. All of the staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and understanding of the individual needs of each child. It is lovely to see the relationships that develop between the staff and children as they grow up.

The play areas are spacious, bright and engaging for the children, and always have a great and ever-changing display of photos and artwork, showing off all the fun activities that take place every day.

The meals are healthy and varied - we never worry about what our daughter is eating at nursery!

Sending a child to the nursery is a difficult decision to make, but we are thrilled with Chrysalis and couldn't recommend it highly enough. We have every confidence that from 6 months old through to pre-school, our daughter will have had 4 years of fun, smiles and learning.

Our eldest son (now 7) was at Chrysalis from 9 months until he started Reception. My daughter (now 2) is currently a Butterfly. I think the fact that we used the same nursery a 2nd time is the highest recommendation we can give this nursery, however here is a quick summary of why we do. The facilities are great. The rooms, the activities, the food etc. However, for us, it is the staff. The same core team have cared for both our children and for us, the people are what make this nursery fantastic (although they also have an excellent Ofsted report to back up all other areas too). My children are very different personalities, however, have both flourished in their own ways, under the care of the team and the nursery.

Chrysalis Day Nursery exceeded far and beyond what I could have hoped for and expected when I first placed my daughter there. The staff are the most patient of people and always make you feel that you and your child are the most important. They always have more than enough time for you and are always smiling and friendly whether it is first thing in the morning or last thing at night. They never tire of all the questions and provided all the information that as a new Mum I craved. My daughter was there from when she was 9-months-old to school age and she has come out as the most polite, grounded and extremely clever little girl which they played a huge part in achieving. I can’t fault the place and can’t recommend them enough to anyone that is looking for a safe, loving, educational, kind and friendly environment for your child to grow up in. They consistently get outstanding on the Ofsted checks which I believe is testimony to the time, effort and sheer hard work they put in to ensuring that the nursery is the best within the area.

My son has been attending the nursery from 9 months old part time and now at almost 8 years old still attends the holiday club during school holidays. I have absolute confidence in the care that the team provide and am able to go to work with total comfort that he's happy and healthy and having a lot of fun. My son is well mannered, well spoken and I often receive compliments from strangers on his behaviour, this is in no small part as a result of the fantastic foundations the ladies at chrysalis helped me to build. My son wakes up with excitement to go again on the days he attends. The team have my utmost trust and respect for their very warm, caring professionalism, there's nowhere better when selecting childcare!

My son has attended Chrysalis Day Nursery since September 2015. His whole experience at the nursery has been outstanding. My son has Cystic Fibrosis so has additional needs and requirements. These have never once been an issue, and the staff have always gone above and beyond. The ladies in both Butterflies and Pre-school take the time to plan lots of wonderful activities so every day is different. I feel happy and confident leaving my son at nursery knowing he loves his time there.

My youngest son started nursery in May at 9 months old, my eldest son just left in September to go to school and had attended Chrysalis two days a week since he was 8 months. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough and of course, I wanted my second son to attend.
The staff are amazing and the facilities are of the best standard, I have never worried about trusting them with the care of my children.
I have been informed about every step of my children's progress and my eldest had never said once that he didn't want to go to nursery and still likes to collect my youngest with me when possible to visit 'his ladies'.
My son is a confident well mannered young man, his transition into school has been excellent and I have no doubt that this particular nursery and its 'ladies' played a massive part in that. If you are considering this nursery rest assured you are making the right decision. Thank you for doing such a good job Chrysalis.

What stands out, beyond the good amenities, garden, equipment and resources is quite simply, the most amazing staff.

They are a great mix of experience, energy, skills, expertise and have the most amazing values. They are incredibly attached to every child and their genuine care shows consistently, everyday.

They also partner with you to parent and advance, not only the education of the children, but who they are.

The nursery does offer great benefit to parents wanting learning outcomes, but I have never felt this was an 'academic' nursery that pushes children. On the contrary their creativity through play is amazing.

Again though, it's the staff - we are incredibly lucky to have found you all and our daughter is a better person for it.

My daughter is currently in preschool at Chrysalis. She absolutely loves attending and counts the sleeps until she is next there! I have found Chrysalis to be staffed by a fantastic group of ladies who genuinely care about the well being and development of all the children. My daughter struggled with an emotional issue for a while and the support that we both received was amazing. I can't praise them enough for their professional and caring approach to this situation. My daughter enjoys the vast range of activities that are on offer especially Jo Jingles, outdoor play, baking, crafts and learning to write. The ladies listen to the children and if an interest is displayed in a given topic (such as Tim Peake going into space) they build on this and capture the children's enthusiasm through additional activities and learning. There is also plenty of time spent preparing the children for school which is giving my daughter the confidence to make that next step in September.

I sent my first son to Chrysalis from the age of about 1 when we moved into the area. I visited many nurseries, but new immediately that this was the very best in the area. He thrived from the outset, the ladies are not nursery nurses, or any other title they may be bestowed with, they are an extension to your family. I can honestly say they treat every child as one of their own children. My eldest son adored nursery, he loved all the ladies, loved the food and loved all the activities.

When our 2nd child was born, it HAD to be Chrysalis. Our son was born with some health issues, and even though the nursery had never heard of the condition, the way they handled was amazing, they managed where I failed for example to get my son to eat any solids, the skills they have up their skills to encourage and teach the children is second to none. My son shall stay until its school time, he absolutely loves it and I know he will continue to thrive in this loving environment.

My eldest started at Chrysalis in the baby room at 12 months, and stayed until the day before he started school. He had a wonderful time and made some lovely friends and loved all the ladies who took such good care of him.
My youngest also started at 12 months, nearly 2 years ago, and also loves her ladies!
I really can't praise Chrysalis highly enough.
I was terrified of leaving my firstborn at nursery the first time, but the baby room is such a warm cuddly cosy place that my fears soon vanished. Both my children had the room coordinator as their keyworker, and were incredibly fond of her.
All the ladies, in all the rooms (and in the kitchen and office!) are such lovely people who obviously enjoy what they do, and really care for the children. And they really listen to you, if you have concerns or requests about your child's care.
Every room has heaps of age-appropriate toys and books, and its own outside space that they really make the most of, and they seem to have endless imagination for activities to entertain and challenge the children.
I'm sure that the environment in the Butterflies room (older toddlers) really contributed to my son's development - his speech and social skills really came on in his time there. They are currently being very supportive of my daughter's first forays into potty training.
When my son first moved up to the preschool room, he didn't want to come home the first couple of times I went to pick him up, because he was having such a great time, and was busy tidying up! He loved every day thereafter, too, especially the fabulous Nativity show, and the day trip to see the monkeys.
The 'graduation' day that they did for the preschool leavers was fantastic. The whole nursery really throw themselves into all the events they do; charity fundraising, dressing-up days etc.
The food is good "home-cooking" but the difference between the nursery's food and actual home cooking is that the children eat the food at nursery!

I have one grandson at this nursery and one grandson who has been there and progressed to school.
They have both become confident and Independent children as a direct result of the time they have spent here.
Their learning throughout their time has been second to none with both boys been able to hold conversations at an early age competently.
A good sense of humour has been generously encouraged which only broadens the boys social skills.
They have been allowed to make their own decisions which in turn builds their confidence.
They have different activities each day appropriate to the weather, time of year and promotes all aspects of skills, eg, painting, building, imaginative play just to name a few.
The team show nothing less than complete professionalism in there dealing with the boys and with me when I have collected them. There is always time for you and the boys and nothing is too much trouble.
This nursery has the ability to make it all feel like home, which is just what you want for your child.
If my boys have been under the weather there has always been someone there to give them a cuddle and comfort, I have never seen a child on their own, they are either with children or with a member of staff.
I have always been impressed and from the first time I met the team here five years ago, the standards have been maintained throughout which is nothing but excellent.
I have a third grandchild which will be attending very soon and I have no doubts that he will enjoy every minute.

If you want a nursery which becomes part of your family then this is the nursery for you. My two sons each started the nursery when they were 9 months old and not once have I ever worried about leaving them. The ladies are warm, friendly, caring and look after the children as if they were their own. Each room is tailored extremely well to the children's needs for their ages it is extremely clean, and there is plenty of outside space for the children to run about and play in, in all weathers. I adore picking them up in summer where they can be found on most days out in the garden having a picnic. They have plenty of activities going on to include such things as Chinese New Year, Children in Need, a nativity (this is done by the pre schoolers and you will need your tissues when your little one is in it!!) and Graduation day (more tissues needed!!) The food at nursery is excellent. I am still astounded that the ladies can get my son to eat things at nursery that he wouldn't dream of at home!! Both of my sons have suffered febrile convulsions and the nursery have been excellent in their care when they have had one. When my first had a convulsion and my second was a newborn they went the extra mile with one of the ladies from the office going with me to the doctors whilst the nursery looked after my newborn. This enabled me to concentrate just on my sick child. I will never be able to thank them enough for those moments and I don't think they know how much they mean to us as a family, there aren't many nurseries that go above and beyond the way they do. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them. I will never be able to recommend them highly enough, so you will have to see for yourself, as soon as you step through the door you are made to feel welcome and you will definitely want your child to be part of this special place. Whether you start them in Caterpillars or in Pre school they will leave Chrysalis more than ready for their new journey into school.

My little boy started at Chrysalis in August 2015 at 8 months old. Since that day he has come on leaps on bounds and now at 13 months old his speech and social skills are amazing and that is mainly down to the ladies in Caterpillars. The activities they do with the children and interaction with singing, signing and reading is so vital for the children. My little boy loves going to nursery and does not hesitate to go to any of the ladies which makes me smile as I know he is going to have a fabulous day with them and all his new friends he has made. Everyone is very welcoming and helpful at Chrysalis.

My experience of Chrysalis Day Nursery is second to none! I have a two year old that is currently at the nursery. I also have a sixteen and twelve year old. My twelve year old also attended Chrysalis when we moved into the area. Once I had made my decision to go back to work after having my son (my two year old) I didn't give it a second thought as to which nursery he would attend. One of the nicest things about going back to the nursery was all the familiar faces. The staff are very happy in their work, friendly and attentive. It was like home from home and from that moment on I never looked back. It made going back to work so much easier and even enjoyable. He absolutely loves nursery without a shadow of doubt. He has made some lovely friends and has gained so much confidence.

He will stay at Chrysalis until he starts primary school. I have no hesitation in the knowledge that they will prepare him for primary school and the transition will be smooth for him and myself! He already has a "book bag" with a different reading book each day when he attends on a Monday and Tuesday. He thinks he is very grown up but it is all these little things that help build a happy, confident little boy :)

I cannot speak highly enough about this nursery but I think the staff are what make it complete!

I am a mum of two boys and I have been taking my boys to Chrysalis since 2010. When we were first looking round for a nursery I was nervous of leaving my little boy with strangers but when we walked to Chrysalis we instantly knew there was no need to worry as they were so caring and warm. And over the last 5 years I have been thoroughly impressed by every aspect of Chrysalis. The ladies are so friendly and approachable and greet you and your children by name every time you walk through the front door, whether they care for your child every day or not. You really do feel part of the Chrysalis family from day one. They have super settling in procedures for each stage of your child's development from their first ever day as a baby (with the lovely, nurturing ladies in the baby room) to moving to school aged 4 (which they are very prepared for). The ladies do a really good job of caring for each child as an individual and, more formally, track the children's progress against the EYFS statements and produce lovely books of evidence including photos, which are sent home when they are full. The cook is also brilliant and she produces delicious and nutritious meals every day and she was brilliant when my eldest son was diagnosed with a peanut allergy. The ladies use a website to communicate what your child has been up to each day along with photographs of your little ones having fun. The building is nice, spacious and homely with lots of outdoor space for them to run off their energy and they always have lots of high quality resources and toys to use. They have always been very flexible when I have needed an occasional extra day. Both my boys have always been really happy at Chrysalis and in my opinion, that is essentially the most important thing. I will be very sad to say goodbye when our youngest son finally leaves in the summer. I would not hesitate to recommend Chrysalis every time.

My eldest daughter is nearly 6 years old and been right through Chrysalis, starting in the baby room, going all the way through to pre-school and she loved every minute. My youngest is currently in the toddler room called Cocoons. She started as a baby and thoroughly enjoys her time there. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the ladies that look after her and she clearly has a special bond with them which is lovely to see. Chrysalis is home from home to us and has played a big part in our lives for more than 5 years and we would be lost without the outstanding care they provide/ have provided for my precious babies. Thank you Chrysalis for making us part of your wonderful family!

Last January my husband and I had a look around several nurseries in the area. As we are first time parents we were feeling unsure about leaving our daughter for the first time and wanted to see what the nurseries were like and how they differed. Immediately Chrysalis day nursery stood out to us and for all the right reasons.

We started our daughter there in February when she was nine months old and have not looked back. The two ladies in the baby room are exceptional and our daughter quickly developed a lovely bond with them. Each child is cared for on an individual basis and the staff really get to know the children. We also feel that her development has been helped by the interaction with the other children and through the endless activities that they do at nursery. Our daughter has now moved into the next room up with the toddlers and is having a great time playing, painting, singing and dancing with the ladies and other children. She is never in a rush to leave and on occasion when I have asked if we should go home I get the response of 'no'.

Chrysalis is a lovely, caring nursery that I would highly recommend to other parents and my mind is completely at ease when she is there.

As soon as we started looking at nurseries I knew that Chrysalis was the one for my son. I loved the fact that I didn't need to make an appointment to visit and they were very open about visiting at any time.

The two baby rooms (Caterpillars) that he started off in were perfect for a developing child and I cried when he had to move up to the next room as I felt that the ladies in those two rooms had cared for my son as much as I would have and I wouldn't be seeing them to chat with every day. As my son was a late developer with movement he learnt to crawl and walk in those rooms and I feel that they were instrumental in this change. He developed his speech and signing being named their star signer and I knew this would continue as he moved up to the toddler room (Cocoons) and he has!

He is now in the toddler room and all the ladies love him! He frequently talks about the ladies in the room telling me who gave him hugs, who put a plaster on his knee when he was learning to walk and what songs they have sang teaching me some new ones too. I've got a mountain of artwork that he has brought home and the books that they record their development are fantastic.

The outside play areas are brilliant as they are large. Initially I thought the baby area was quite small but it was perfectly sized for the stage of development the children are at when they are in the baby room. Now that he is in the toddler room there is loads of space to play outside and lots of equipment to play with too.

ALL the ladies are brilliant not just the nursery nurses but the managerial staff, on site chef and everyone I have met. They all know my son's name and are super friendly.

I cannot recommend Chrysalis enough and also am looking forward to all the activities he will do as he moves up through the different rooms.

My son has been at Chrysalis day nursery from the age of 9 months and he is now 22 months old. From day one I have never been in doubt that he is well cared for and actually, truly cherished by some of his ladies! I have been particularly impressed with the Caterpillar (babies) rooms (there are two - for tiny babies and then older babies). He has just moved to the toddler room (Cocoons) and I am sure he will build similarly lovely relationships there.

The staff are ALL brilliant from management, catering, to the nursery nurses. They ALWAYS have time to speak to you and with a smile.

One of the biggest things for me is flexibility because I have an unpredictable and highly pressured job. I have unfortunately been late collecting my son a number of times but they have always supported me, continued to care for my son and never made me feel guilty (I do that myself!) I have also had to ask them to look after him into the evening on occasion and it has never been a problem even when requested without much (if any!) notice.

The little things matter and in all rooms, my son has brought home artwork frequently and he hasn't missed his parent's birthdays once, presenting us with a lovely card!

I'm glad he gets to play outside and do the messy arts and crafts. The nursery may be sited in a business park but they have a large and pleasant outside space. I had initially worried about this but I can see he has often been outside playing.

We will wait and see what the older children's rooms have to offer - I can't imagine the standard will drop at all. Well done all at Chrysalis and thank you because I trust you with my son and that has got to be the biggest compliment.

Two members of staff are in the ladies in the baby room for a reason .... They are an incredible introduction for what Chrysalis has to offer and our little boy loves them so so much !!!

My little boy has been at Chrysalis for almost a year and his development and behaviour is owed in a huge part to them

Every single person we have had contact with in the nursery is just amazing they all know every child's name and needs and when there are around 100 children it's very impressive !!

When we looked for childcare me and my husband agreed that not only was chrysalis head and shoulders above any other nursery in the area ... It was in another league !!

Thank you so much for the time so far that he has spent with you and we are excited for what the next 2 1/2 years will bring before he goes to school.

Ever since I set foot in the nursery, I just knew this was 'the one' for my son. The staff were friendly, at ease with the children, knowing all by name (no easy task given the size!), even if they were not normally in contact with them daily (managerial and office staff). On a random turn up visit, I experienced 'normal working day' at Chrysalis, with an aura of calm throughout the whole building, there were ample staff, in excess of statutory ratios, and all knew each child very well, with key workers being assigned as a central go-to person.
Since my son started (2.5yr ago) the care has remained excellent, lots of photos of what he has been up to, and minute details of each day retold by the staff at collection time....now with gushing praise and added bits 'piped up' from my pre-schooler!! Active learning through play certainly happens all the time, using ICT, tailored activities and themed days; the staff are fantastic, and with a wealth of experience behind them, they can often advise and guide if you need help with anything from behaviour to potty training.
As a medical professional (the nursery was recommended by a colleague!) they adopt a very sensible and caring approach, having no problems with your little precious ones if they become unwell through the day, they are happy to get calpol/nurofen authorisation over the phone and DON'T adopt protocols such as 'the parents must supply it in a prescription bottle' which only adds more hassle when you're juggling childcare, work, child with a simple cold etc on top of needing to see GP unnecessarily for stuff! Having had my son come down with a virus whilst at nursery, they seemed to have almost a mums instinct when they said 'he's just not his usual self!

Outside space is deceptive, from the front, you are not able to appreciate the gardens, but they are plenty big enough and very well equipped, plus with the locality being what it is, the children often go on 'adventures' to look at boats, look for wildlife, flowers and plants, once even calling in at the local cafe for a treat of hot chocolate after a cold winters day walk!
The food at chrysalis sounds fabulous, I would love them to supply adult packed lunches of it! Mealtimes are ordered and not chaos and the children love their food-all cooked on the premises. My son is miles more adventurous with food than some friends using other nurseries.

Overall, I can't recommend highly enough this nursery, I have friends who are equally as happy having had problems elsewhere and moved their children to Chrysalis.

My daughter has just finished 3.5 years at Chrysalis and I can not recommend it highly enough. Her social, emotional and physical development have all come on extremely well and in pre-school she has enjoyed learning letters and sounds in preparation for school.

I have always felt she was safe and well cared for at nursery. The staff are always on the end of the phone and have never minded me contacting them for a daily update!

My daughter has particularly enjoyed the outside space and the food! She made a group of lovely friends and was very happy once she settled in each new room.

This nursery undoubtedly passes the family and friends test!

Having been a teacher in Cheshire for 40 plus years I was excited about the prospect of visiting nurseries with my daughter in law to look for a placement for my lovely granddaughter. We visited Chrysalis last week and I was extremely impressed and amazed at the quality of provision at this setting.
The managers were welcoming and experienced, the key workers were engaged in the care and support of every baby and child there. The children were happy and involved in all their activities. The environment, both indoor and outdoor was stimulating and rich in every aspect of the early years curriculum.
I had no hesitation in recommending this setting to my daughter in law and I'm sure my granddaughter will be happy there.

I can't say enough about how excellent this nursery/pre-school is! From the moment I walked into the premises, the staff were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. They're caring and it's genuine! They all have individual traits and areas of expertise which compliment each other and the personal touches they add such as 'firsts' photos, plays and the pre-school nativity really capture and create lifelong memories. They know my children inside out, even though they are only in part-time. They offer a really good balance of education and play and the food offers great variety, and is nutritious and plentiful! The staff always have time for you (as a parent and for your child). They have really prepared my son for primary school, mentally, socially and by focusing on skills and routines to make the transition smooth. It feels more like an extended family than a business. It was recommended to me and I would go on to recommend it to others!!!
