A BRIGHT AND SPACIOUS NURSERY IN WARRINGTON
Recently refurbished nursery in Callards offering high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years, with an added holiday club for children aged up to 11 years.

The well-qualified team of highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced staff work together to provide a well-balanced programme of fun activities and learning experiences, within a carefully planned curriculum with a unique Ready for School programme. Fostering an enjoyment of early literacy and maths, with a Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians Enhancement, helping children to recognise letters, words and numbers in their environment.

Callands nursery has a spacious outdoor play area with separate gardens for each age group. Children enjoy using balance bikes, mini rocking horses, hula-hoops and the wooden tepee.

Support for your child also extends beyond regular nursery hours, they also offer a holiday club for children aged 3 months to 11 years where they can participate in a range of fun activities.

With all-inclusive fees, which means you have less to pack on a busy morning, the onsite meals are prepared with nutrition in mind. From healthy lunches and snacks to your chosen branded nappies and wipes included in the fees.

The nursery has been awarded an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ (Oct 2019) for their commitment to high quality childcare and education.

Fantastic nursery with excellent facilities. The staff are so lovely and friendly and are great at communicating at all times. My son has a great relationship with all the staff and his development has improved massively in all aspects in verbal, physical and mentally. I would definitely recommend it.

I can't speak highly enough of the nursery, both my son and daughter attend (baby room and pre-school) and I have no worries leaving them in the amazing care of the fabulous staff. My 3 year old loves going and skips in each day which is a testament to the staff, as she was quite nervous when she first
started. The facilities are brilliant, in particular the outdoor space which both my children love exploring. We were worried about my little girl's speech but she's come on leaps and bounds at Callands and again this is down to the work of the fabulous staff. Would highly recommend Callands Bright Horizons to anyone looking for a setting for their little ones, I can't see how you'd be disappointed.

Both my children attend Bright Horizons Callands in the baby room and in pre-school and I would happily recommend the nursery to anyone looking for a nursery place. The staff are brilliant and are so helpful and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. My little girl who's in the preschool room talks
nonstop about how much fun she has there and has such a lovely bond with her keyworker, she is so excited each time she goes in, it's great to see. My son recently started in the baby room and the staff are great with him, it's difficult leaving an anxious baby but it's so much easier when you know you're handing him over into a safe and warm environment. I also love the outdoor space that Callands has to offer, there's so much room for each age group to play and lots of activities for them to take part in. Have nothing but positive praise for the nursery !!

Bright Horizons Callands Day Nursery and Preschool offer a friendly and safe childcare setting for my daughter. The managers always reply to emails the same day sometimes within minutes and nothing is too much trouble.
The staff in the preschool room are amazing my daughter talks about them all the
time and that is why she is continuing with link club from the nursery.
The staff know all children on a 1:1 basis and on the collection are never rushed they will inform you of the days activities, friends and food along with anything extra as a parent we need to know.
The nursery accommodates my daughter's dietary requirements and she is offered a brilliant array of alternatives giving her a balanced diet and so she doesn’t feel left out to the children who can eat the food.
I would highly recommend this nursery and preschool I have no had any issues in the 3 years my child has attended.

I am extremely pleased with how my daughter developed socially and intellectually thanks to attending Callands Nursery. I know children participate in multiple play activities aiming to prepare them for primary school and cherishing their little friendships. They also spend a lot of time exploring the
outdoors. Every day there seems to be so much fun!

We used Callands Day Nursery through an emergency childcare benefit we have through work. Due to family isolating, our normal childcare wasn't available and our existing nursery couldn't accommodate with it being so last minute. We submitted a request for a place at Callands and within hours we had
the request approved and a call from the manager asking about our requirements. Despite this placement been short term, the manager and her team couldn't have done any more for us and our little girl. They made sure she was welcome from the start, even requesting family photos that they could print for familiarity, and creating a peg space to feel included. All of our requests were followed and we had a full debrief of how our little girl was getting on both on my (multiple!) phone calls throughout the day and also on pick up. Callands sent photos home, crafts and even a leaving card. I would highly recommend Callands to anyone as their care and professionalism was above and beyond!

This nursery has been absolutely amazing to my little boy. It was very hard starting nursery in the middle of the pandemic but they were very understanding to me and my child's needs. The nursery staff were always very friendly when I dropped him off and he now loves going! My son eats absolutely everything
in nursery so the food must be great. I personally find it very reassuring that he has such a varied diet while he is there. Sleep was also a huge concern of mine but he sleeps very well there. Would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough! Our little girl started at this nursery when she was 1 year old, she's in preschool now and she loves to be 3. She feels comfortable and enjoys all the activities. I would highly recommend the brilliant staff. They are very kind and helpful. My daughter uses two
languages and we get all support from the staff to improve her English. I cannot thank them enough for all that they do!

My daughter attended here for one morning as back up care and I can't say thank you enough. All the staff in the room made her feel so welcome, she didn't want to go home! The care they all provided for my daughter was outstanding. I was apprehensive about bringing my child to nursery due to COVID,
but the girls couldn't have done enough and the cleanliness was exceptional. Thank you.

My daughter has been attending Bright Horizons Callands since she was 8 months old (she is now 4), and she absolutely adores going to nursery, and has built some lovely bonds with her key workers throughout her attendance. The nursery is super supportive, and I am amazed every single week with what
she learns! The food is lovely, and she has no issues eating it all (never have clean plates at home). it really is like a family rather than a ‘nursery’, and I never feel worried when I drop her off.

This is a fantastic nursery. The staff are all so friendly, my daughter loves coming to nursery. She comes home happy every time, full of stories about what she has been up to all day. I would recommend this nursery to anyone!

My son started at Bright Horizons Callands in January 2018. His development has come on so much. My son is very happy at the nursery and has made many friends. The nursery has a lovely environment and has a fantastic outdoor space.
The nursery staff are amazing. Nothing is ever too much trouble and
that applies to the office staff too. I would highly recommend this nursery.

We have had three children come through this nursery and have always had a good experience. We feel that consistency of staff through the years has helped us a great deal. Staff have helped us as a family over the years through difficult times and thank you all. We have never had any doubts about the

Both of our children have attended Bright Horizons Callands. We have always been very happy with the level of care and attention our girls have received. The facilities available are excellent, in particular, the outside area is excellent. The staff have always had our utmost trust and we would recommend
the nursery to others. In fact, family friends now attend the nursery on our recommendation.

My son has been very well cared for at preschool. He struggled to settle in initially and the staff went out of their way to make him feel secure and happy. He has had lots of fun during his time in preschool and I'm certain he will miss everyone when he leaves in September.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Kate has been a valued member of the Bright Horizons family since 2008. Before stepping into their current role, she was the Deputy Manager at one of the Bright Horizons nurseries in Liverpool, where she gained extensive experience supporting children and families from diverse backgrounds.


Passionate about helping children learn, grow, and thrive, Kate takes great pride in their role as SEND Coordinator. She finds it incredibly rewarding to collaborate with families and support children in reaching their full potential, continually drawing inspiration from the progress each child achieves.


Kate holds a BA (Hons) in Learning Development and Support, which has played a key role in shaping their commitment to delivering exceptional care and guidance for every child she works with.

Charlotte

Charlotte

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2012

Charlotte joined Callands in 2012 as a student after completing her Level 3 diploma in childcare and later became a full-time staff member in the Toddler room. While studying Education and Childcare Studies at Liverpool Hope University, she continued working at Callands as bank staff.


In her final year, she gained her Level 3 Forest School qualification and returned as Deputy Manager in 2018, having previously worked as a room leader.


Charlotte is passionate about her work, enjoys building relationships with families, and loves watching the children grow. Outside of work, she enjoys family days out with her daughter, Penelope.
