A BRIGHT AND SPACIOUS NURSERY IN WARRINGTON
Recently refurbished nursery in Callards offering high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years, with an added holiday club for children aged up to 11 years.

The well-qualified team of highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced staff work together to provide a well-balanced programme of fun activities and learning experiences, within a carefully planned curriculum with a unique Ready for School programme. Fostering an enjoyment of early literacy and maths, with a Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians Enhancement, helping children to recognise letters, words and numbers in their environment.

Callands nursery has a spacious outdoor play area with separate gardens for each age group. Children enjoy using balance bikes, mini rocking horses, hula-hoops and the wooden tepee.

Support for your child also extends beyond regular nursery hours, they also offer a holiday club for children aged 3 months to 11 years where they can participate in a range of fun activities.

With all-inclusive fees, which means you have less to pack on a busy morning, the onsite meals are prepared with nutrition in mind. From healthy lunches and snacks to your chosen branded nappies and wipes included in the fees.

The nursery has been awarded an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ (Oct 2019) for their commitment to high quality childcare and education.

Staff very engaging. Grandaughters seemed very happy and content. The outside area is perfect, my grandaughter says she loves playing outside at nursery. She has key workers who always give us a lovely insight to her day

Granddaughter's both attend, pre school and toddler room.
Absolutely love picking them both up and seeing how happy they both come away.
All the staff always go above and beyond , and most importantly always with a smile .

It's an excellent nursery and my son loves coming, there doesn't seem to be enough staff some times on the mornings in pre school but I know my son will get looked after.
Always on the go doing different activities.
Not sure about the food menu though most the stuff I know my child probably won't
like but never complains he's hungry

Bright Horizons Callands is a lovely nursery with super kind, helpful and caring staff and management. The nursery is always clean and there is always a happy face welcoming you at pick up and drop off. The garden area is spacious and there's a great forest school at the nursery. My daughter always
comes home telling us what they have learned that day and the activities they have been doing. There is a good variety of home-cooked food available. I recommend Bright Horizons to anyone.

Brilliant nursery. Staff are really good & very approachable. New manager is amazing & really turned the nursery around since she started! App is great to see what your child has eaten, washed hands, pictures of activities etc. Little boy always comes home telling us all about his day & how much fun
he's had! Preschool is brilliant, love the children's new uniforms to get them ready for school. Couldn't recommend it enough!

Would recommend this nursery to anyone and everyone. Our child clearly loves going and the staff really care about the children. The updates on the app are really handy and seeing pictures of what they’ve been up to is such a reassurance whilst in work. The transition from maternity leave to working
full-time has been quite easy because of the nursery and the staff.

Great friendly staff, absolutely brilliant with my son and his needs, he loves them to bits. Would highly recommend. The app is really good as it tells and shows you everything he is doing throughout the day, the staff put pictures on there which is brilliant when you're in work.

My daughter has been attending nursery since she was 1.5 year old, she is turning 3 now and enjoys it so much, always very happy and welcoming every morning by lovely teachers. In the toddler room teachers help with toilet training, which helps us as parents a lot. She always talks at home about her
friends and always happy to come. Definitely recommend this nursery. Thank you for being part of our life.

Bright Horizons Callands Day Nursery and Preschool is a safe, welcoming environment and my son thoroughly enjoys going every week. The staff work so hard to ensure the children get the very best out of their day with exciting activities and opportunities for each and every child to shine. My child has
made so many new friends so early on in his life and it is thanks to the friendly nature of the staff that they are able to do this.
The nursery often welcomes family photos from parents and carers via the app which are then often a topic of discussion or activity that week.
The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful with any questions or advice. They go above and beyond, for example, when it snowed, the staff got stuck into sleigh rides and making snowmen with the children - something which the children will remember. They do this with a smile on their face and I can’t thank them enough.
I wouldn’t have my child go anywhere else.

I could not recommend Bright Horizons Callands Day Nursery and Preschool any more. My little boy has been at the nursery for just over four months and he has settled in outstandingly. After not the greatest start with our previous nursery, I was very nervous about my little one moving. They were very
patient and supportive, they update their app very frequently which is perfect for us nervous mummies.
The nursery is always kept exceptionally clean and tidy, no matter the time of the day. All the staff are very friendly and could not fault any of them.
Would definitely recommend!

I moved my son to Bright Horizons Callands Day Nursery and Preschool from another nursery and I can honestly say it was the best decision I have ever made. The nursery is amazing! The staff are so caring and nurturing and they always go that extra mile to keep you informed and happy as parents. The
rooms are spacious, clean and tidy whilst also having enough toys and activities out for children to play with. Activities are diverse and very well planned and parents are kept informed throughout the day of what the children are doing. The daily pictures and messages are invaluable. My son absolutely loves coming here and every time I pick my son up he has the biggest smile on his face! Thank you for making my baby boy's nursery experience so special.

Our little boy has attended this nursery since he was in baby room and is now in growing learners and ready to start school in September.
The support of all the staff from the day he started up to now has been amazing! He absolutely loves coming to nursery and I know he feels safe there. Communication
is fantastic and the staff have been brilliant with my little boy's speech and language referral and assessments for other things too. Highly recommend, and have done to a few friends who have also signed their children up.

Bright Horizons, Callands has been amazing in settling in my daughter at her new nursery. After leaving her previous setting and starting in the toddler room, she has become more settled and comfortable in her new routine.
The ladies in the toddler room provide unique sensory and messy art activities
that are a lot of fun and have experiences that my daughter can get involved in. They focus on all the children’s interests and more often than not, I get beautiful pictures to take home that my daughter has made.
The ladies in Toddlers are great at answering any questions I have and making me feel heard as a parent. I genuinely believe that they value their relationships not only with the children but also with the parents as well.

I have a young daughter who is 2 at this nursery, right from the very start all the staff in the nursery attended to every need for both myself and my daughter. The baby room girls helped her to settle in made me feel at ease and relaxed, and updated me often with pictures and observations on my daughter's
progress. My daughter made great attachments with the staff in the baby room and always came to the nursery smiling and excited for her day. Since moving up to the toddler room, my daughter has settled well, made new attachments with the staff and made new friends. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone who would like a friendly, professional, homely environment. Overall fantastic.

The staff are very friendly, reliable and my child always received great care. I’m kept up to date and informed on my child's daily activities and know my child is well looked after. My child loves to play in the large outdoor space.

The menu needs to be addressed, a lot of the food is served with sauce. It is nice to be diverse and offer foreign type foods but plain foods with the option of sauces might be better.
The past week or so on collection the staff have not offered any feedback on my little ones progress during the
day. I could have walked in and walked out with my child, literally unnoticed!
The outdoor space and the indoor activities are good, more photos of the children on the app please.

Absolutely amazing nursery, full of love and care. I couldn't have asked for a better safe place for my children. The nursery has incredible outdoor space, which most nurseries don't have. Job Title: Nursery Manager

Kate has been a valued member of the Bright Horizons family since 2008. Before stepping into their current role, she was the Deputy Manager at one of the Bright Horizons nurseries in Liverpool, where she gained extensive experience supporting children and families from diverse backgrounds.


Passionate about helping children learn, grow, and thrive, Kate takes great pride in their role as SEND Coordinator. She finds it incredibly rewarding to collaborate with families and support children in reaching their full potential, continually drawing inspiration from the progress each child achieves.


Kate holds a BA (Hons) in Learning Development and Support, which has played a key role in shaping their commitment to delivering exceptional care and guidance for every child she works with.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2012

Charlotte joined Callands in 2012 as a student after completing her Level 3 diploma in childcare and later became a full-time staff member in the Toddler room. While studying Education and Childcare Studies at Liverpool Hope University, she continued working at Callands as bank staff.


In her final year, she gained her Level 3 Forest School qualification and returned as Deputy Manager in 2018, having previously worked as a room leader.


Charlotte is passionate about her work, enjoys building relationships with families, and loves watching the children grow. Outside of work, she enjoys family days out with her daughter, Penelope.
