Bright Horizons Callands Day Nursery and Preschool

I have a young daughter who is 2 at this nursery, right from the very start all the staff in the nursery attended to every need for both myself and my daughter. The baby room girls helped her to settle in made me feel at ease and relaxed, and updated me often with pictures and observations on my daughter's progress. My daughter made great attachments with the staff in the baby room and always came to the nursery smiling and excited for her day. Since moving up to the toddler room, my daughter has settled well, made new attachments with the staff and made new friends. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone who would like a friendly, professional, homely environment. Overall fantastic.

The staff are very friendly, reliable and my child always received great care. I’m kept up to date and informed on my child's daily activities and know my child is well looked after. My child loves to play in the large outdoor space.

Absolutely amazing nursery, full of love and care. I couldn't have asked for a better safe place for my children. The nursery has incredible outdoor space, which most nurseries don't have. All the activities are very well planned according to the child's interests and learning progress. The staff are loving, caring and full of awesomeness.

After a rocky start, my son is more than happy at the nursery. The staff have been patient, understanding and given me confidence in knowing my son is well cared for. He evidently learns a lot and likes to show off his new skills at home.

All the team at Bright Horizons Callands, from the management through to the kitchen and the domestics, are amazing. They all do a fantastic job and are all so kind and caring to the children, and supportive to parents too. Our daughter's needs and dietary requirements are well catered for and we know she's in safe hands! She loves coming to nursery. We are going to miss everyone when she starts school.

Although my son loves going to nursery, but I feel lack of staff in terms of taking care of kids, kids playing in the rain, coming home with dirty socks, not enough encouraging to wash hands after playing in garden, and lack of vegetarian options for food and not encouraging toilet trained kids to use the toilet. My son holds it for all 5 hours he stays in the nursery each day.

Our daughter has been so happy since she started at Bright Horizons Callands Nursery - the staff are fantastic, super supportive and have really helped her development and confidence. We are really pleased we chose this nursery

Absolutely amazing staff at Bright Horizons Callands. They are truly fabulous in every room. They are supportive, amazing in everything they do and go above and beyond for each of my children that attend. They all make our lives easier every morning on drop off as each of my children love going in as they know they get lots of time and attention they need.

We love the Bright Horizons setting. Our son has such a wonderful time here. The children have so much space to play, inside and outside. The children can get messy and creative and he always comes home happy.

My child was so excited to show me everything and show me around and we had a lovely afternoon.

My little one has been here for nearly a year and we are so impressed. The staff are very friendly and also easy to talk to. The transition to toddlers was great and they understood that it was difficult for me to leave him. My little boy really enjoys coming and has a brilliant relationship with his key worker. He sings songs from nursery and always waves goodbye after his day. Really appreciate all of the staff for all their hard work.

My daughter moved here in September 2022 and instantly settled in. All the staff made her feel very welcome and loved. She already has such a great bond with all staff at the nursery. She has a great day every day and enjoys all activities. The meals are always great and she enjoys them all! I highly recommend the nursery to anyone looking.

Callands Day Nursery and Preschool is a wonderful nursery, having transferred from another nursery, my daughter settled straight away. The staff are exceptional, they take the time to build genuine relationships with the children and families. My daughter happily skips into the nursery and tells me about all her friends when she comes home every day. A wonderful nursery, highly recommend it.

I love this nursery. My daughter loves it. She has a bond with all the staff and children. There are never any tears going into her room. I would so recommend!

My grandchild started as a very shy child who wouldn't speak to anyone. She is now a confident child who just walks straight in. The staff are perfect with her and always fill you in on their day. Always comes out happy and chatty.

My son settled into nursery at Callands very quickly and thoroughly enjoys his sessions. I particularly like how valued he is made to feel and how well the practitioners use every opportunity to provide the most wonderful learning experience. The nursery is so welcoming and inviting. The staff are kind and tune into the children and their interests, so well. I go to work so happy in the knowledge my little boy is safe and happy and loving his learning journey.

Amazing nursery, with amazing staff who accommodate the needs of each individual child. My son absolutely loves nursery and always comes out at the end of each day very happy. He started in babies and is now in preschool. The support he got from the staff as he was transitioning into each room, was amazing and I can't thank the staff enough.

So far, the nursery and all the staff have been fantastic. My daughter has already started to learn new things and say new words and she has only been there for one month. She has also settled in a lot quicker than I thought and is always super excited to go in.
