A BRIGHT AND SPACIOUS NURSERY IN WARRINGTON
Recently refurbished nursery in Callards offering high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years, with an added holiday club for children aged up to 11 years.

The well-qualified team of highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced staff work together to provide a well-balanced programme of fun activities and learning experiences, within a carefully planned curriculum with a unique Ready for School programme. Fostering an enjoyment of early literacy and maths, with a Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians Enhancement, helping children to recognise letters, words and numbers in their environment.

Callands nursery has a spacious outdoor play area with separate gardens for each age group. Children enjoy using balance bikes, mini rocking horses, hula-hoops and the wooden tepee.

Support for your child also extends beyond regular nursery hours, they also offer a holiday club for children aged 3 months to 11 years where they can participate in a range of fun activities.

With all-inclusive fees, which means you have less to pack on a busy morning, the onsite meals are prepared with nutrition in mind. From healthy lunches and snacks to your chosen branded nappies and wipes included in the fees.

The nursery has been awarded an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ (Oct 2019) for their commitment to high quality childcare and education.

When our son started experiencing separation anxiety, the nursery was really supportive and helped us with both practical advice for making it easier dropping our son off and also emotional support as we felt terrible leaving him. He now goes in no problem and has come on leaps and bounds with all the
interactive play and learning.

The staff are friendly and supportive. My toddler has been going here since January 2017 he has come on so much. They reassure me and I know my boy is safe here which gives me peace of mind. They keep in touch and genuinely care about the children they look after this is clear to see.

Our little boy started at Bright Horizons in December 2017. He is very shy and the staff have been wonderful at reassuring us and him. The manager always has her door open for any queries and the staff in the baby room are amazing!

Our son really enjoys his time at pre-school and always come home talking fondly about the staff and his friends. My little girl is happy here and has a great relationship with all the staff. The staff made her transition to a new room easier and comfortable. When she had her accident last year the staff looked after her and me throughout the day to ensure she was well. The communication between parents and staff

Callands is an amazing place. My son gets very excited when we drop him off and stalls when he's leaving. Enthusiastic staff fill me with confidence.
Fantastic activities to learn, play and explore. Overall, I feel happy and secure leaving my child and would definitely recommend to other parents. 10/10.

When my daughter was enrolled at nursery I was so anxious as she was my first and I was struggling to leave her. The team were so fantastic and always made me feel at ease, I can ring anytime to see how she is doing. My daughter loves it at nursery and always seems to be doing different activities.
She even cries sometimes when she has to leave. She always seems so happy at nursery and I can see her grow from strength to strength from what she is learning. All the staff are fantastic and appear to go above and beyond. I can't praise everyone enough. I think the nursery and staff are second to none. My daughter loves it.

We are so pleased with the nursery. Our son has been going since he was 16 months old (now 2 years 3 months) and he has enjoyed it since day 1. He started in the babies room, where we noticed he came on a great deal in terms of his development and social skills. He moved to toddlers on his 2nd birthday
and all the staff made his transition so easy. I recently started back at work full time and it made it so much easier knowing that increasing my son's nursery days wouldn't be an issue.

We have two children in the nursery who have progressed through the babies room, toddlers room and Pre School. The regular staff are excellent and the kids have always made strong bonds with them in each room which is very reassuring and their development has been well supported throughout.


The nursery

is purpose built and by far the best equipped in West Warrington, the outside play areas are fantastic! The ongoing refurbishments will only add to what is already an excellent site.

Really friendly attentive staff. My little boy loves the staff and looks very comfortable with them. He's been going from 9 months of age. They have helped him learn to walk, talk and eat, give me good advise for some behaviour problems.
They genuinely seem caring towards my little boy, myself and
my husband who do pick up and drop offs. He’s fed nutritious food daily and given milk whenever he wants it.

Looking for a nursery to enrol our daughter in, we read reviews of several nurseries and we are extremely happy with Bright Horizons Callands.
My daughter has bonded very well with the assistants in the toddler room and thoroughly enjoys her time there.
They are very attentive, professional, very
welcoming and friendly and spend time individually with the children to help their learning, development and skills.
The nursery always ensures that my daughter is safe and well and provides great feedback on her afternoons there and what she has been doing, as well as working with us to understand what our daughter enjoys at home so they can find something she enjoys so she is as happy and comfortable as possible in nursery. I am confident my daughter is in an excellent nursery to prepare her for preschool and ultimately primary school.

I can’t recommend this nursery enough. From the different activities, they plan for the children at all age groups, to the flexibility of putting our child in for extra days (even at last minute).
They follow any instructions you give them without question as the relationship the staff build with
parents makes you feel comfortable when approaching them.
The staff are a credit to the nursery and even staff in different age rooms are willing to help you if you need their help.
Very clean and maintained nursery who are currently undergoing a refit to enhance the children’s daily fun.

My daughter has settled in very well and is extremely happy! She loves all the staff in her room and they always make the effort to say hello and have a chat with you. I cannot thank them enough for how well they look after her, as I was very concerned due to a bad experience with a past nursery. I
don't worry at all when I leave her and she is learning so much! She is not a fussy eater and I believe this is partly to do with the menu at the nursery.

We looked at various nurseries around the Warrington area and Bright Horizons, Callands was the stand out by a mile. They made us feel welcome and at ease for our little boy. Since then, our boy has been attending the nursery for 4 months and he loves it. They are very good in tailoring their care to
each child's needs and make a real, conscious effort to understand the children's characters. They go above and beyond in their care for not only my son, but others also. The parents that I speak to at the nursery cannot speak highly enough of them. In addition to this, you can physically see how the nursery's activities have aided my child's development. I would not hesitate to recommend the nursery to parents who are looking for a nursery around the Warrington area.

Please do not hesitate to use the nursery, the girls are amazing and so welcoming. I was in tears when first looking around. The girls were fantastic and put up with my phone calls every day. This only lasted a couple of days as I felt so at ease leaving him. And loved our chats at the end of the day.
He came on leaps and bounds and is a really happy well rounded little boy

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Kate has been a valued member of the Bright Horizons family since 2008. Before stepping into their current role, she was the Deputy Manager at one of the Bright Horizons nurseries in Liverpool, where she gained extensive experience supporting children and families from diverse backgrounds.


Passionate about helping children learn, grow, and thrive, Kate takes great pride in their role as SEND Coordinator. She finds it incredibly rewarding to collaborate with families and support children in reaching their full potential, continually drawing inspiration from the progress each child achieves.


Kate holds a BA (Hons) in Learning Development and Support, which has played a key role in shaping their commitment to delivering exceptional care and guidance for every child she works with.

Charlotte

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2012

Charlotte joined Callands in 2012 as a student after completing her Level 3 diploma in childcare and later became a full-time staff member in the Toddler room. While studying Education and Childcare Studies at Liverpool Hope University, she continued working at Callands as bank staff.


In her final year, she gained her Level 3 Forest School qualification and returned as Deputy Manager in 2018, having previously worked as a room leader.


Charlotte is passionate about her work, enjoys building relationships with families, and loves watching the children grow. Outside of work, she enjoys family days out with her daughter, Penelope.
