A welcoming and 'Outstanding' rated Ofsted nursery in Didsbury.

The Didsbury Day Nursery and Preschool is situated just off Barlow Moor Road and is an ideal location for parents commuting to and from Manchester. Providing quality childcare and education, supporting every child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

Following a recent refurbishment, the nursery has excellent facilities and six qualified teachers working in the nursery. All age groups have access to the outdoors where the garden allows them to be outside on a daily basis. The nursery holds regular activities and events for families throughout the year, including an annual Graduation Ceremony for children leaving the nursery for ‘big School’.

All-inclusive fees mean that you have less to pack on a busy morning, with everything from healthy lunches and snacks to branded nappies and wipes included.

The nursery has been awarded an Ofsted rating of ‘Outstanding’ for their commitment to high quality childcare and education (February 2017).

We have had children in Bright Horizons for just over 4 years and will continue to have our youngest there until she is ready for reception.
The nursery is really excellent. The staff have always been great. The managers are fabulous and ensure the children are well looked after and always are available
for parents when ever needed. The meals that are prepared for the children are delicious and nutritious with a great variety.
There is a special room with tea/coffee/hot chocolates/biscuits/water/fresh flavoured water/juices for parents in the morning and evening where there are delicious samples of the home baking that goes on in the nursery.
I have only had very positive experiences at this nursery and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a safe, friendly, caring, clean environment for their child/children.

Bright Horizons Didsbury has looked after my daughter since she was 7months old and she could not be in better hands.
The staff and management are amazing. I would rate this nursery as excellent in every category.
If you want to leave your child with a nursery that treats your little one like family
then this is the place.

We have been so impressed with the personal touches they give to every child and family and the time they take to make everyone feel at ease and welcome. I was dreading my son's transition into childcare as he's always been so attached to me but every member of staff, from childcare to management have
made it as easy and stress-free for us as possible. From the regular feedback on his day to the extra settling-in sessions offered we feel as if they really care about making sure all our needs are accounted for. He eats really appetising sounding meals and they are very accommodating of special diets. We cannot fault the nursery and I am so grateful that I know he is in a safe, friendly and stimulating environment now I've returned to work.

My daughter is now 16 months old and has joined the nursery since August 2016. As a mother, I'm very grateful to all the staff who work very hard in looking after my daughter. Since my daughter joined, I have noticed she is much happier, has learnt a lot socially and developmentally. Every time I come
to pick her up, she refuses to leave, knowing how much she enjoyed being in the nursery. She's a very confident and independent baby since she started.

We are new to the Nursery and are so happy my son settled in great with the help and care of the friendly staff. His teachers are wonderful and made him feel comfortable although he doesn't speak much English. Food is great. He loves his teachers and already has made some friends. We are really happy!!

My son has been at Bright Horizons since 2015, starting in the baby room and is now in toddlers. I have found the service and support here to be first-rate. The staff members really work hard to provide a friendly place for children to develop and play. I really appreciate the detailed level of
feedback that is provided for daily activities and how my child is progressing. The team have always been happy to make extra time available to discuss development issues. My son needed some extra support to encourage verbal communication and I received nothing but support through detailed feedback on how they were encouraging communication. I found this very reassuring and my son is now comfortable talking and I know a big part of this is a result of the excellent work provided by the entire team. The environment is always clean to a high standard and the meal provision is excellent. My son is always is happy to go to the nursery and clearly loves the staff as he always happy to see them.

Staff at the nursery go out of their way to provide an all round positive experience for children and parents. An example of this is the refreshment station - being able to grab a drink and a snack on busy mornings or hectic afternoon makes a real difference.

My child is new to the nursery (May '16) and I have been blown away by my experience so far. The staff are so friendly and professional and the food is amazing. My child goes outside daily in the garden or for a walk. The settle session before she started really put my mind at rest. the management team
are friendly, helpful and supportive. The nursery has very high standards.

Bright Horizons is an amazing nursery, all my 3 children have attended. I cannot fault it in any way, the staff are amazing. The chef is amazing, the food is nutritious and a credit by the children's food trust.
Management lead by example, such a warm friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend to anyone,

The nursery has been amazing at helping both boys settle in following a move from another nursery staff have really engaged with them and got to know them well. Even cried when my eldest left after 6 months to go to school! They have given them excellent opportunities and experiences for the boys to

My daughter attended this nursery (previously known as Kidsunlimited) since she was 9 months old. The staff are excellent, good communication as to what she has been up to during the day. The nursery also provides a very detailed progress report every six months. I appreciate the good communication
from staff because I feel that I'm not being 'left out' when I'm at work.

We have been very happy with the high quality of care delivered by Bright Horizons for our daughter over the last 3 years. The management team and staff have worked at the nursery for many years which provides a great continuity of care. The nursery building is modern, clean, safe and well suited to

My daughter has been at this nursery for three years. It's a great place very well run and I've always began happy with the way in which management communicates with parents. The team running the nursery has been stable and that's been very reassuring for me as a parent- always seeing the same friendly
faces at front desk. My daughter always comes home happy, it feels like a friendly place and the staff are engaged and enthusiastic. From a development point view I think her communication and artistic skills have improved as a direct result of her time spent at Bright Horizons Didsbury.

I am really pleased with the nursery and care my son receives. I think it's expensive but all childcare is expensive. His key worker has been very supportive and encouraging with potty training. The staff are friendly, they even look after my baby in reception whilst I drop my son off. The only downside
is the garden in pre-school is a bit small.
Friendly and professionally clean.
I like the weekly memo's, you can book in for extra days!

Without a doubt Kids Unlimited is the best nursery within the south Manchester area.
The staff are so warm and friendly. My daughter is so happy there, we have decided to keep her in for pre-school also.

Both our children have attended this nursery for over five years. From day one we have been constantly impressed by the level of care, passion and customer service shown by all the staff and management team. Our first child has special needs and the nursery were fantastic in adapting to his requirements
and at all times went 'the extra mile' and beyond. We have enjoyed a fantastic relationship with all the staff from cleaners to regional manager and never had any 'issues'. I'd definitely recommend the nursery to anyone.

Angelica

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Angelica has worked in childcare for over nine years, with eight of those years spent at Bright Horizons. She is qualified with an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, a Foundation Degree in Early Years Childhood Studies, a BA (Hons) in Early Years Leadership and Management, and is currently completing her dissertation for an MBA in Business Administration (Human Resources). Angelica loves working in the childcare sector and is committed to providing the best start in life for all children in their care. Providing high-quality care and education is her number one priority.


Originally from Venezuela, Angelica has been living in the UK for 11 years. She is married and has three beautiful children. Much of her weekends are filled with the children's clubs, walks, and family meals.

Ada

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Ada graduated from university in 2019 with a degree in Business and Management, and since then, she has been working in childcare—a field she has always been passionate about.


She finds great joy in watching children grow and develop, which led her to join Bright Horizons in 2022. Since then, she has had the opportunity to work in several of their nurseries, each offering unique experiences that have helped her develop new skills.


Ada holds a Level 3 qualification in childcare, as well as a Level 3 Early Years SENCO qualification, and she has recently begun pursuing a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She is deeply committed to providing children with high-quality education and diverse opportunities every day.
