A welcoming and 'Outstanding' rated Ofsted nursery in Didsbury.

The Didsbury Day Nursery and Preschool is situated just off Barlow Moor Road and is an ideal location for parents commuting to and from Manchester. Providing quality childcare and education, supporting every child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

Following a recent refurbishment, the nursery has excellent facilities and six qualified teachers working in the nursery. All age groups have access to the outdoors where the garden allows them to be outside on a daily basis. The nursery holds regular activities and events for families throughout the year, including an annual Graduation Ceremony for children leaving the nursery for ‘big School’.

All-inclusive fees mean that you have less to pack on a busy morning, with everything from healthy lunches and snacks to branded nappies and wipes included.

The nursery has been awarded an Ofsted rating of ‘Outstanding’ for their commitment to high quality childcare and education (February 2017).

Our son has been attending for over a year now, starting in Baby Two and now in Toddler One. All the staff from his key worker to the nursery manager are invested in him and his journey. Every child is different and they treat each child as an individual and invest in their development. They work with
us, as his parents, on areas of further development and encouragement. My son's time so far at Bright Horizons Didsbury Day Nursery and Preschool has been full of fun and laughs. Seeing his face light up each morning and run into his room to meet his friends is heart warming and we know we’ve made the right decision choosing Bright Horizons Didsbury Day Nursery and Preschool.

Our children love attending Bright Horizons. All the staff know all the kids and they are kind, caring and I feel confident knowing they will come home happy every day. They think of all sorts of interesting activities for the children to take part in. We have loads of confidence in the management,
particularly the manager, who is amazing. They are super flexible and we’ve always been able to pick up an extra day if we need one on top of our regular pattern. They have a great app, where they share pictures and updates about the kids learning too. The children spend lots of time outside in their garden and they’ve recently planted flowers in wellies. If there’s one thing I’d make even better about the nursery it would be to make the outdoor space a bit less astroturf and a bit more mud-filled, but it’s a very minor complaint and I’d recommend it to anyone.

My son attends the nursery and is currently in the Toddler 2 room. He is very happy and I am happy with the care and education he receives. His key person is a qualified teacher, so I am assured he is learning lots in preparation for preschool. He has made lots of friends and I get regular updates on

My daughter attended Bright Horizons from age 1 through to pre-school. She has always been happy there making friends and loving the staff and all the activities. She came on so much at the pre-school even came home speaking Spanish. The food has always been excellent and my daughter eats a wide variety
of food. My son will be starting in February, I wouldn’t dream of sending him anywhere else.

I could not be happier with Bright Horizons Didsbury Day Nursery. My three-year-old was in one of the toddler rooms and is now in pre-school, and my baby is due to start soon. Quite aside from the high standard of the building and facilities (especially the outside space), Bright Horizons Didsbury is
noteworthy for its exceptional staff and management. Having experienced two other nurseries, I can safely say that this one stands out not only in terms of the levels of care provided but also the levels of professionalism. My child is thriving and happy in this environment, and I never have concerns about leaving him. It's worth noting that all staff that I have encountered across both rooms are excellent. The standard of learning and development is exceptional, and it is a real bonus to have a toddler who can now speak better Spanish than me. Communications are first rate and management are incredibly responsive. There are, of course, cheaper nurseries but Bright Horizons Didsbury is worth every penny and then some.

My daughter has been attending Bright Horizons Didsbury since she was 1 year old, she is now 4. The staff are so dedicated, positive and approachable and my daughter is so happy attending 3 days a week.
I really feel her nursery and preschool experience has increased her confidence and her abilities
and I feel that she will be extremely well prepared for starting school this year.
I love that she learns Spanish whilst there and have nothing negative to say about her time there.

Top-quality caring staff that care for your children as if they are their own. Our 2 girls have learned so much including Spanish! They both waltz in during the morning and are always happy when they leave. We have found their medical care and communication around the same to be impeccable and their
teaching is top quality. You see with the other kids leaving with their key workers at night that our 2 haven't struck lucky - everyone seems to be cared for equally well.

My daughter loves Bright Horizons Didsbury.
She has an amazing relationship with her key worker as well as all the other staff in the nursery. I get great updates from the staff about what she has been up to as well as a comprehensive report about her development.
The nursery has gone over and above
to help us with potty training, and we wouldn't have got to where we have without their involvement.

Our son has been attending this nursery since about 6 months old and every stage has been fantastic and he loves it. All the staff are so welcoming. More specifically throughout the pandemic, they have been outstanding in their support for parents, children and their resilience. They must have acted
with the utmost level of caution and cleanliness as minimal disruption or covid cases. Yet keeping a friendly and social environment for kids to help with some level of normality in these awful times. Along with the updates and understanding emotionally and financially for parents. We can't thank you enough.

We’ve been using the nursery for 3 years and currently use the baby 2 room and preschool. My little girl started nursery in August 2020, so we weren’t able to settle her in the room and had to drop her at the door. The staff were so wonderful with her, it made a difficult situation easy as it was clear that my daughter was comfortable and happy to see the staff. The staff were really supportive
and understanding for us as parents too.
The staff are always really friendly and knowledgeable about the day - from what she’s eaten to how long she’s slept to whether she’s been grumpy or had a dance! I’ve seen her walking come on loads and her social skills have been great! She is also sleeping much better through the night which is priceless!
In terms of Covid, we have been getting regular written communication of any updates. The staff clearly take the situation seriously with PPE and social distancing. It has been so reassuring to know we are in safe hands. I’ve been so impressed and would recommend to any of my friends or family.

The manager and staff understand the importance of parents having peace of mind and I was shown around the rooms with care and lots of explanations of how things are run. The staff and management have been exceptional and my kids have been very happy to go in each day.

My son has been at the nursery for 3 years and he's loved every single day of it. All the staff have been loving and welcoming and invest time in speaking to you at the end of the day. I've visited a number of nurseries but Bright Horizons Didsbury, by far, were the ones who had the best facilities
and friendliest staff. They've always resolved any worries I've had. I also enrolled my youngest who, surprisingly, settled in so well even though he's usually very attached to me. Amazing fresh food prepared too.

Angelica

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Angelica has worked in childcare for over nine years, with eight of those years spent at Bright Horizons. She is qualified with an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, a Foundation Degree in Early Years Childhood Studies, a BA (Hons) in Early Years Leadership and Management, and is currently completing her dissertation for an MBA in Business Administration (Human Resources). Angelica loves working in the childcare sector and is committed to providing the best start in life for all children in their care. Providing high-quality care and education is her number one priority.


Originally from Venezuela, Angelica has been living in the UK for 11 years. She is married and has three beautiful children. Much of her weekends are filled with the children's clubs, walks, and family meals.

Ada

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Ada graduated from university in 2019 with a degree in Business and Management, and since then, she has been working in childcare—a field she has always been passionate about.


She finds great joy in watching children grow and develop, which led her to join Bright Horizons in 2022. Since then, she has had the opportunity to work in several of their nurseries, each offering unique experiences that have helped her develop new skills.


Ada holds a Level 3 qualification in childcare, as well as a Level 3 Early Years SENCO qualification, and she has recently begun pursuing a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She is deeply committed to providing children with high-quality education and diverse opportunities every day.
