Children 1st Plumtree Nursery School

Both my children have come to Children 1st and have been very happy. The building and surroundings are great. My one concern is staff turnover. My child gets used to one member of staff and then they leave. It would be good if there could be some flexibility for the nursery to provide extra hours in an emergency (ie funeral) that we need to attend, no other childcare options.

Children 1st - Plumtree are fantastic! My daughter’s been going since she was 14 months old and will be there till she starts school in September. It is a really spacious nursery, with so many facilities for the children. It’s bright and airy with all glass changing areas. They even have air con which is fab in summer. There are so many different fun tree houses, jungles and ball pits with indoor slides that my daughters enjoy. My daughter has ASD and if it wasn’t for nursery spotting this at 15 months old we would never have got such an early diagnosis. So I am eternally grateful they approached me about it and did it in such a kind and supportive way. The staff are amazing, and the manager is brilliant in helping me work with School and Families and the local authority. The teacher in early years is amazing with the children and my daughter. The efforts he goes to each week in terms of topics, what the children will learn and activities way exceed my expectations, it’s unreal!

Also, really love seeing pictures of what they've been up to on social media and the online portal.

Her skills with maths and pencil activities have improved more with each activity and at-home tasks made.

Great space. Lots of room for the kids to explore. Friendly, helpful staff.

Staff are always friendly, helpful and my child is very happy going to nursery here. One of the teachers is fantastic and it's great to have more male staff in the nursery care sector!

Our daughter has always loved her time in early years and talks so highly of her teachers! We love it here.

An incredible nursery for our two boys, so supportive from day one and they both really enjoy coming to nursery. The staff are so caring and passionate with stimulating and fun learning environments. A gorgeous location and so cute to have guinea pigs in the garden.

The staff are fantastic at communicating with us and I can’t praise them enough!

I cannot recommend Children 1st Plumtree enough. My daughter has been attending since January 2023 and absolutely loves the staff. I feel her development has come on leaps and bounds and that's all thanks to the hard-working staff. They are extremely attentive and supportive and I love the relationship my daughter has formed with her key workers. Thank you Children 1st @ Plumtree for providing such fantastic care.

We think Children 1st in Plumtree is brilliant. My daughter finished there in September after almost 4 years and has gone to school and my son has been there about 14 months now. For any parents of little ones with dietary needs, I would highly recommend Plumtree. They were always very good with my daughter's dietary needs. They were also so good when my little boy started and made sure they had a full assessment of all of his individual needs too. Despite being such a busy nursery, they manage to make you and your child feel special. I am watching my son blossom, as my daughter did. The staff are wonderful; they are so attentive and constantly go above and beyond. The communication has always been great and I've never had any worries that our children are safe.

I simply can’t rate children’s 1st enough! My daughter started in April 2023 and she has settled in so well, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. There are plenty of activities for the children to do and it’s nice to get regular observations and photos of my daughter on the app, plus the daily updates in her diary. The food is varied and nutritious and there’s plenty of outdoor play and crafts etc for the children. One thing that particularly drew us to this nursery is how well they seem to prepare the children for going to school. I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking!

It’s been just over a month since my daughter (under 1) started attending this nursery, and the journey so far has been really positive. My daughter enjoys going to the nursery. The adaptability and warmth of the carers have made this transition smooth and enjoyable for her. The nursery has been incredibly supportive during the weaning process. They work closely with me, ensuring that my daughter’s nutritional needs are met whilst catering to her dietary requirements. This cooperation has really helped me. I particularly appreciate the daily updates I receive at pick-up time. The staff provides useful information about my daughter‘s day, helping me stay connected with her routine and development. The facility is generally clean and well lit, creating a vibrant and inviting atmosphere for the children. Overall, I would recommend Children 1st Plumtree to any parent looking for a nurturing and supportive environment for their child.
