Children 1st Main Street Nursery School is located in Long Eaton, close to the town centre and local bus routes and provides childcare for children aged from birth to five years.

The nursery has bright, open learning areas for babies, toddlers and pre-school children and also provides after-school care for children aged between five and twelve years.

The outdoor area features a spacious garden designed to maximise the potential for outdoor play and children are encouraged to choose their own activity with a huge variety of options both inside and out.

The friendly, enthusiastic staff are all fully trained and experienced to support each child's holistic development. Each child receives the maximum care and support with high staff to child ratios.

The nursery offers funded places for eligible 2, 3 and 4-year-olds.

My child is at Children 1st @ Main Street. He loves his time at nursery and is well looked after by all the staff. What stood out the most when I was choosing the nursery was the clean homely environment and the home-cooked meals by a designated chef.

I couldn't have picked a better nursery. Main Street really does live up to its outstanding title with the Ofsted group. The staff are so friendly, helpful and organised. Any concerns or issues are dealt with efficiently.
The cleanliness of the nursery is amazing. Would 100% recommend others to join,
in fact, I already have.

I am really happy with my nursery. Both of my sons have been there (youngest son still goes there). Environment and staff are excellent. Staff are very professional and friendly. I can see good progress in my children's development. The nursery is always clean and tidy and they provide healthy meals
and snacks.


Nursery keeps parents informed and we have good communication between nursery and home. I can recommend to all my friends.

Both my children have attended Children 1st, my son is still with them and my daughter is now at school.
I have always been happy with their care and development. I have recently put my sister-in-law in contact to enrol my niece.
Staff are always attentive and helpful and both my children are always
content on drop off and collection.

From the moment my daughter and I went to visit the nursery we knew it was the one that we would be happy for her to go too. The nursery is clean, bright and a happy environment. The manager is very passionate about her nursery and that shows throughout. Her and the staff are very professional but also
very friendly and welcoming. My daughter LOVES going to nursery. Her talking and singing have come on a lot in such a short space of time. I shall definitely be sending my other 2 children there as I know they are safe, happy and looked after.

Never have had the pleasure of leaving a child with such wonderful people. You can't help but feel like your part of the family at Main Street. It's so personal as you feel like the staff know your child so well and as it shows, no matter how individual they are or what requirement's they have. All
the rooms are clean, organised and well presented. I like to say a personal thank you for being so great with my daughter and really supporting with her eating. You're all amazing.

Having looked at several different nurseries for our little girl, we both immediately felt that Main Street was the one for us. The managers and team are fantastic and my little girl loves going to nursery so much. I have never once been worried to leave her even when she's not feeling 100% as I know
she will be well looked after. She has made some great friends and looks forward to going. I recommend Main Street to everyone I know who is looking for a local nursery!

The service provided by all staff is fantastic!
My daughter loves going to see her "teacher" and tells me all about the time they spend together, be it drawing, writing or baking cakes.
I feel that my daughter is very well looked after and know she has gained so much confidence since attending.
The
staff are all fantastic, very approachable and all make my daughter smile and feel safe!

I can't rate this nursery highly enough. I feel totally at ease leaving my daughter in their care. My daughter is now 3 and has been attending Main Street since she was around 10 months old. She has come on leaps and bounds since being at nursery and I feel this is down to the care and attention she
receives whilst there. She always comes homes saying she has had a really good day and is always talking about her key workers. The nursery setting is modern, clean and welcoming and the staff are all really friendly. The food is great too - my daughter only seems to eat well when she's at nursery!

Children 1st @ Main Street is a fabulous well-rounded nursery. My daughter has been attending for almost two years and has moved through each of the rooms (baby, toddler and now preschool). Every single member of staff and the trainees have been welcoming, friendly and supportive of her and us as parents.
The manager is accommodating and supportive at all times. The environment is bright and varied. My daughter eats all of her food and the outdoor area is large but safely enclosed. I fully recommend this nursery to anyone who asks.

Both our boys have attended this nursery and have really loved going. Being there for 2 days a week has really brought both of them on in terms of confidence, speech and various other things. The staff are professional and friendly and always go the extra mile. We don't have a bad word to say and feel

After being reluctant to send my child to a nursery in the first place, I now believe sending her to Children 1st is the best decision we've made as parents so far. The staff are friendly, kind and genuinely pleased to see my daughter when she comes through their doors. They aid her development at every

My daughter who is now 12 went to a different branch of the children's 1st Nursery and she received outstanding care from all staff and excellent educational support which has benefited her enormously. So when I found out I was having another baby and that I would need child care for when I returned
to work I did not think twice about contacting the nursery. I was so happy to see staff that had looked after my daughter still working for them as this shows they good to work for as they retain staff.


I also like that they are a training facility and all the staff are trained or working towards qualifications, showing they invest in staff. My 3-month-old son has been looked after by the nursery for 4 weeks now and he is so happy, they care for him as I would giving lots of cuddles, he is stimulated and is reaching milestones early. Because it is such a good facility I have not been too distressed in returning to work and leaving him.

We have two children at the setting and have experienced every room from the Baby Room right through to Early Years. They have all been excellent! The staff are clearly a close-knit team who put the care of the children first. They are always friendly, approachable and willing to go the extra mile
to make sure that the children (and parents!) are happy. My oldest daughter loves the wow activities - she has been involved in creating a papier mache plane to Rio to celebrate the Olympics and a milk bottle iglo (which had to be seen to be believed!) for Winter! The food is excellent; they even persuade my picky eater to eat her vegetables - apparently they taste different at nursery! As parents we love the 'EY Log' which is a private and secure online account where the staff can share photos and videos of what your child is doing at nursery - it brightens up our day when we get a little green elephant notification ping up and we can see what they have been up to! Highly recommended!
