Children 1st Main Street Nursery School is located in Long Eaton, close to the town centre and local bus routes and provides childcare for children aged from birth to five years.

The nursery has bright, open learning areas for babies, toddlers and pre-school children and also provides after-school care for children aged between five and twelve years.

The outdoor area features a spacious garden designed to maximise the potential for outdoor play and children are encouraged to choose their own activity with a huge variety of options both inside and out.

The friendly, enthusiastic staff are all fully trained and experienced to support each child's holistic development. Each child receives the maximum care and support with high staff to child ratios.

The nursery offers funded places for eligible 2, 3 and 4-year-olds.

My son really enjoys his 2 days a week at the nursery, all the staff are friendly and caring, all members of staff know who he is and that shows how much they take an interest. Would recommend to everyone I know

My son started here at 7 months old and has loved every day he has attended. The staff and environment has nurtured my son’s development and they were as proud as I was whilst he was learning to walk. The nursery itself offers a rich curriculum for early years development from sensory, story time and
phonics but also community initiatives such as recently the local fire brigade attended and let the children into the truck and explore the equipment, my son wouldn’t stop talking about it! Arts, crafts and sports are all celebrated in a spacious, nurturing and inviting environment.

My son and daughter both attend Children 1st at Main St. My son will be leaving this summer to start school and it feels like the end of an era.
They both love nursery. My son often comes home singing songs they’ve done at nursery and talks about all of his friends. My daughter was especially clingy
(lockdown baby!) and they were great with her. She now loves to go and has come on lots.
The staff are great. The communication is good - an app for regular updates, emails and newsletters. They involve family at events throughout the year.
My only slight grumble would be it would be great if they could open from 7 am to allow me to start/finish work earlier with a long commute but otherwise, they’re amazing.

Excellent nursery! Our children have progressed and developed so well. Our youngest is there now and is so happy and comes home happy and full of new knowledge! The daily diaries are really useful and the staff are always incredibly helpful whenever you need them.

Both my daughters attend here, to be honest, I did pull my first one out due to expenses. Then I had my second daughter and I couldn't ask for better care than Children 1st @ Main Street. To be leaving your child in the care of someone you don't really know is very hard but everyone at the nursery are
amazing. I wouldn't leave my child with anyone else. She has developed so well and I can't thank you enough.

We have total confidence in Children 1st and feel comforted knowing that our son is in safe hands and his development is top priority for the staff. The regular updates we get is proof our little boy loves being at his nursery.

Our little boy joined in February this year and we are so happy we chose this nursery for him to go to. All the staff we have met are so friendly and we can really tell that he is loved by them all. He has come on in leaps and bounds since starting and this is all down to how wonderful and hard-working
the staff are. We can't thank you all enough, we feel so comfortable leaving him in your care and know that he is really being cared for in your nursery. The nursery also keep us updated as much as they can with what he has been up to during the day and we really love receiving photos of him playing at nursery!

A wonderful nursery. The staff are welcoming, professional and are brilliant with the kids. The space is bright and spacious, and I like that its all one level. The garden is great too and very child friendly. My daughter absolutely loves it here and smiles and waves at all the staff. I would highly

Lovely nursery. It took my boys a few weeks to settle in but the staff were great. So welcoming and patient with them and knowledgeable on all the children’s activities etc throughout the day. I can’t fault them at all.

Excellent nursery, Daughter is very happy there, staff very friendly and have built a great relationship with her. Always come back to emails/queries quickly and kept parents well informed throughout the pandemic. Also love the parents' app which I receive updates on weekly with regards to my daughter's
development (including pictures). Highly recommend this nursery.

Both my two children attend Children 1st and they both love going. The staff are all fantastic. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them.
They have gone above and beyond with my youngest who needs a little extra help and without them, I don't think he would have received it. I wouldn't want my children
to go anywhere else now.
100% would recommend this nursery to anyone.

My daughter has recently started Children's 1st @ Mian Street, she absolutely loves it. She's happy going in after a few wobbly starts, the staff are lovely and so welcoming to children and parents too. She loves every day she spends at nursery and is always smiles. She has come on a lot as she is quite

My little girl has recently joined the baby unit at 5 months. The staff have put my mind at ease for returning back to work and I know my little girl is happy and safe at nursery. All parents want their children to be happy and settled and that definitely applies for this nursery. My daughter smiles
at the ladies as soon as we arrive and she’s still very happy at collection!

My little one loves going to nursery. She was two in March, my eldest who is now 13 went to Children 1st @ Main Street and I'm glad I decided to choose them again. The staff are lovely. What I like is their always happy and smiling, they always tell me how my child has been and they are approachable.
That is key when sending your child to nursery for the first time.

Our daughter absolutely loves coming to this nursery and is always so happy, and exhausted at the end of the day. They clearly foster their individual personalities and encourage them in doing what they enjoy. We really enjoy the updates via the app and would have more if we could. It's also useful
to have their developmental stages portrayed through there. We have no issues or complaints.

My daughter has attended the nursery for the last two years and she has loved it. It has had a very positive effect on her, through play and support from the staff, she has made lots of friends and has enjoyed learning. I have been very happy and confident leaving my daughter in the safe and capable
hands of the staff. Communication is great with parents and my daughter has positive relationships with all the staff. My daughter will always have fond memories of her time at Main Street.
