Children 1st Main Street Nursery School is located in Long Eaton, close to the town centre and local bus routes and provides childcare for children aged from birth to five years.

The nursery has bright, open learning areas for babies, toddlers and pre-school children and also provides after-school care for children aged between five and twelve years.

The outdoor area features a spacious garden designed to maximise the potential for outdoor play and children are encouraged to choose their own activity with a huge variety of options both inside and out.

The friendly, enthusiastic staff are all fully trained and experienced to support each child's holistic development. Each child receives the maximum care and support with high staff to child ratios.

The nursery offers funded places for eligible 2, 3 and 4-year-olds.

My girls absolutely love Children 1st. After a bad experience with a different nursery, I wish I had switched sooner. The care, attention and resources on offer is brilliant.
If there is anything I need to share, the staff ensure I am listened to. We all love it.

My daughter started Children 1st @ Main Street when she was 8 months old. She has thoroughly enjoyed her first few months here. This has been a source of great relief to me as a mum working full-time. The staff are brilliant and have established great relationships with her. Her day is stimulating with
a range of varied activities provided. I love the way special occasions such as Christmas are celebrated.
Would thoroughly recommend.

Children 1st @ Main Street continues to deliver exactly what we hoped it would when we initially chose it for our son.
This is high lighted now having moved away from the area. We have decided to keep him with you despite the considerable travel time for us. He loves going to nursery and we are delighted
at how he is learning and enjoying French and funny feet.
With "big school" getting even closer, we feel very grateful to the team at nursery for helping us give our son the very best possible start with his development.

The nursery is friendly, welcoming and safe place for my daughter. The staff are professional, well trained and supportive in my child’s development keeping me up to date with her progress and next steps.
My daughter had built up strong relations with her key workers and loves coming here each day.
The facilities are great with a stimulating environment which promotes independence and creativity. My daughter loves the range of toys inside and outside and enjoys all the wide range of meals and snacks given to her.

My experience with the nursery and all staff has been of the very highest standard. I felt at ease with leaving my daughter when she first started. They made her so welcome and the care is outstanding. I am so overwhelmed by how much she loves going and what safe hands she is in.

From the first moment I entered the nursery to visit I knew I wanted my son to go here. The staff were so welcoming and professional and as a first-time mum completely put my mind at rest. The nursery is lovely and my son absolutely loves it.
The nursery has gone over and above my expectations. They
take pictures and videos and upload them to the app so I can see what he's been up to and it's lovely to be able to watch his development.
My son has food allergies and the nursery have made it so easy, worry-free and even ordered in food for him.
At end of the day, the staff give you a thorough run through of the day and the daily diary tells you everything from food eaten to bum changes and what play activities or toys he's been playing with. I especially like this.
Another aspect that impressed me was how much effort goes into the children's learning development, I know that my son will get off to a good start as he grows.
I would definitely recommend this nursery.

I have been using this nursery for over 6 years and will continue to use for another 4 (2 kids). Fantastic place the staff are fab and I've never had any issues. My eldest loved this nursery and still wishes he could go now and my youngest seems to enjoy himself and never have any issues dropping him
off and he's happy to go to his keyworkers with no crying. I can't recommend this nursery and all the staff enough. Lovely people all round xx

When our little boy first started nursery it was a traumatic time for us all as he just did not want to go. Now he LOVES it and often cries when its time to come home. The staff have really helped us in areas where he was struggling and he has come on leaps and bounds in the time he has been there.

Children’s 1st Main Street is a very personable, friendly and caring nursery. My son has been at the nursery since he was 6 months old and loves being there.
The investment in the children is second to none with care that makes you feel your child is encouraged to develop and grow as a small person.
I
receive regular online updates of my son’s progress which is encouraging and a great service from the staff, who are fantastic and always provide a service with a smile.
I’d recommend Children’s 1st to any parent.

My son started Children 1st @ Main Street in August 2016. I loved looking round the nursery all the Children were engaged in activities and the staff where focused with the children. The staff where very friendly and made us and my son very welcome. When my son started I was a very anxious and worried
Mummy! The senior of under 2’s was fantastic with my son and built up a great bond with him which made me feel so much better. My son is now in Peter Rabbits room and loves it. He has great friends but most of all he’s got a great relationship with the staff in the room which, as a Mummy, is key! All you want is for your child to be looked after, cared for and loved like you as a parent give them. Main Street give exactly this.

My daughter loves going to nursery! She practically runs to the door when we get there.
The staff are professional and friendly.
The app and diary updates are great. It's lovely to see photos and videos of her playing.

My son loves going to nursery and is comfortable with all the staff he always comes out having had a good day always. The care they give the children is great and seem to know all the individual needs of each child and connect with them as soon as they walk through the door. Staff always look happy
to see you. They helped me potty train my toddler and was fantastic. Will be sad when he has to leave to move up to school.

My child is at Children 1st @ Main Street. He loves his time at nursery and is well looked after by all the staff. What stood out the most when I was choosing the nursery was the clean homely environment and the home-cooked meals by a designated chef.

I couldn't have picked a better nursery. Main Street really does live up to its outstanding title with the Ofsted group. The staff are so friendly, helpful and organised. Any concerns or issues are dealt with efficiently.
The cleanliness of the nursery is amazing. Would 100% recommend others to join,

I am really happy with my nursery. Both of my sons have been there (youngest son still goes there). Environment and staff are excellent. Staff are very professional and friendly. I can see good progress in my children's development. The nursery is always clean and tidy and they provide healthy meals
and snacks.


Nursery keeps parents informed and we have good communication between nursery and home. I can recommend to all my friends.

Both my children have attended Children 1st, my son is still with them and my daughter is now at school.
I have always been happy with their care and development. I have recently put my sister-in-law in contact to enrol my niece.
Staff are always attentive and helpful and both my children are always
content on drop off and collection.

From the moment my daughter and I went to visit the nursery we knew it was the one that we would be happy for her to go too. The nursery is clean, bright and a happy environment. The manager is very passionate about her nursery and that shows throughout. Her and the staff are very professional but also
very friendly and welcoming. My daughter LOVES going to nursery. Her talking and singing have come on a lot in such a short space of time. I shall definitely be sending my other 2 children there as I know they are safe, happy and looked after.
