Children 1st Main Street Nursery School is located in Long Eaton, close to the town centre and local bus routes and provides childcare for children aged from birth to five years.

The nursery has bright, open learning areas for babies, toddlers and pre-school children and also provides after-school care for children aged between five and twelve years.

The outdoor area features a spacious garden designed to maximise the potential for outdoor play and children are encouraged to choose their own activity with a huge variety of options both inside and out.

The friendly, enthusiastic staff are all fully trained and experienced to support each child's holistic development. Each child receives the maximum care and support with high staff to child ratios.

The nursery offers funded places for eligible 2, 3 and 4-year-olds.

I still can’t express enough about Children 1st @ Main Street! The nursery is so homey and the staff are ever so friendly! My daughter has come so far with how much she has progressed, such as her speech, social interactions and education! I’ve come to learn she has a best friend who she is inseparable
with and they help to keep their friendship bond stronger by keeping them together which has helped my daughter a lot with her social interaction! The staff here are truly so amazing as now my daughter is progressing into the next class and are so helpful, they keep us informed with everything and are so kind so us and our little girl. I’ve never seen our little girl so excited to go into her classroom and the immediate happiness and comfort she clearly shows! Thank you team; you are amazing!

Children's 1st @ Main Street are incredible, they are so friendly and helpful which makes it easy to feel confident leaving your child in their care. My son has come on no end since starting at Main Street, even during his regressions the staff have supported my son and us at home to help guide him
through it with their knowledge, understanding and patience. I love that we are invited to join them for "stay and play" so we get to see things first-hand and we get regular updates on the app which include important information to keep us in the loop (including observations and pictures of activities my son has been involved in). Keep up the great work guys, you should all be very proud of the work you are doing to help shape the future of our children.

My little boy loves it at Children 1st @ Main Street Day Nursery, it’s a small nursery and very homey. The staff are lovely during feedback, making it clear they know my child well. My son often comes home with pictures he’s made and I receive lovely observations of him doing exciting activities. It’s
clear the staff want what’s best for my child, getting him ready for school and encouraging him to be more independent.
My son talks positively about his friends and teachers too.
My son clearly feels very safe and happy at nursery, going straight in without a fuss and I always feel confident leaving him in the setting knowing he is well looked after and excited to go.

My daughter has been going to Children 1st @ Main Street Day Nursery for over a year now and we couldn't be happier. The staff are amazing and very creative with the activities. My daughter has made amazing friends among both staff members and other children and she is greeted every morning with a smile.
As every parent, I was a little scared at first to send my firstborn to a nursery full-time, not knowing what to expect, but I was unnecessarily worried. My daughter loves going there and most days she runs in without even bothering to say bye to me! I can only take it as a good sign.

Our little girl has attended nursery from 6 months old, from visiting the nursery we knew straight away it was the right setting for our daughter. All staff are professional and you can tell they really enjoy the job they do. We enjoy reading regular observations to see what she’s been up to, staff

My son has been going here since he was 9 months old and he has loved it ever since. He tells me all about his fun day and he eats everything they give him which is always a mixture of fruits, veggies and proteins. I have seen him come along brilliantly with his speech and social skills, nursery has
been the best thing for him. He loves his teachers and seems very comfortable and trusting around them which for me is peace of mind. They have always kept me up to date with his progress and helped me with any issues.

My daughters only been going to this nursery since February, although she cries when leaving me she has the best time while there! She tells me all the stuff she’s done in the day when I pick her up. The staff are all really friendly, they help my daughter no end. I honestly couldn’t recommend this
nursery enough! I was worried about putting her in a nursery at first but glad I have and it’s this one. Honestly can’t thank the staff enough for everything they do. Such an amazing place. Thank you

Since my son has attended this nursery he has come on leaps and bounds in all areas. I am kept updated at each pick up on daily tasks and food and then also with observations on parent admin which I love to see. I also like that you can add your own from home too. Staff are always so friendly and welcoming
to myself and my son. Would definitely recommend sending your children here.

I’m so pleased we chose this nursery for our child. Management were so helpful when we were looking to attend especially as this is our first, and walked us through the steps and the processes. Our child has come on leaps and bounds since attending and I couldn’t ask for a better nursery.

Highly recommend this nursery. My child has been going since they were 7 months and the nursery have been amazing from the start. Staff are lovely and are always happy to help. Wouldn’t consider going to any other nursery in the surrounding area. Amazing provision.

My son started the nursery 6 months ago and has settled into the baby room brilliantly. From the first show round all the staff were welcoming and friendly and it definitely helped going back to work. The staff listened ensuring his dietary needs are met and followed his routine. They have offered advice
and guidance along the way and supported going through the weaning process. Nothing is too much trouble. He gets excited now as we pull up to the nursery and immediately puts his arms out to the staff in his room, one of his first words was the nursery nurses name in his room and some days does not want to leave to come home. It is reassuring to go to work knowing he is in the best possible place and is enjoying his time there. We love getting the updates via the app of different photos and videos showing how much he is enjoying his time and all that he is learning.

Beyond happy with this nursery compared to the previous nursery that my daughter attended. I love how there is a day to day curriculum and the kids aren’t just colouring all day. They’ve taught my daughter so much at the age of 3/4, she can count, identify numbers, write her name etc. I’m so impressed.
The staff and management are so brilliant and helpful and supportive. Always happy to hear what my daughter has been given to eat during the day. The facilities inside and outside are so good. Will be so sad when my daughter finishes this summer, as both her and myself love her nursery and all the staff.

My son started here at 7 months old and has loved every day he has attended. The staff and environment has nurtured my son’s development and they were as proud as I was whilst he was learning to walk. The nursery itself offers a rich curriculum for early years development from sensory, story time and
phonics but also community initiatives such as recently the local fire brigade attended and let the children into the truck and explore the equipment, my son wouldn’t stop talking about it! Arts, crafts and sports are all celebrated in a spacious, nurturing and inviting environment.

My son and daughter both attend Children 1st at Main St. My son will be leaving this summer to start school and it feels like the end of an era.
They both love nursery. My son often comes home singing songs they’ve done at nursery and talks about all of his friends. My daughter was especially clingy
(lockdown baby!) and they were great with her. She now loves to go and has come on lots.
The staff are great. The communication is good - an app for regular updates, emails and newsletters. They involve family at events throughout the year.
My only slight grumble would be it would be great if they could open from 7 am to allow me to start/finish work earlier with a long commute but otherwise, they’re amazing.

Excellent nursery! Our children have progressed and developed so well. Our youngest is there now and is so happy and comes home happy and full of new knowledge! The daily diaries are really useful and the staff are always incredibly helpful whenever you need them.

Both my daughters attend here, to be honest, I did pull my first one out due to expenses. Then I had my second daughter and I couldn't ask for better care than Children 1st @ Main Street. To be leaving your child in the care of someone you don't really know is very hard but everyone at the nursery are
amazing. I wouldn't leave my child with anyone else. She has developed so well and I can't thank you enough.
