Children 1st Main Street Nursery School

We've been absolutely thrilled with our experience at the Childrens 1st Main Street Nursery so far. The staff did their absolute best to welcome our daughter into the group, reassuring us daily and giving daily updates on her progress. She has settled in quickly and now eagerly looks forward to seeing her friends and teachers every morning. We've found everyone to be incredibly welcoming, paying close attention to detail and offering great support. The managers have been exceptionally accommodating, seamlessly adjusting to our changing schedule multiple times. We're impressed with the healthy meals and snacks provided. Our daughter has also learned a wealth of new skills during her time at the nursery. The teachers are warm and caring, friendly and just lovely people! Even amidst ongoing building refurbishments, the nursery has managed to maintain its charm, seamlessly integrating the renovations without disrupting daily activities, which speaks volumes about its management skills.

My one year old started at Main Street Children 1st in January. We were very pleased with the information and settling in sessions provided prior to the start date. All the staff are lovely. My son has settled happily and we are pleased he eats and naps well on the days he is at nursery. I like the book used for communication between staff and parents, as I personally prefer a book to having to log in to an app. Overall very pleased with our choice of nursery.

My daughter has only recently started at this nursery and I have nothing but positives. The staff are friendly and welcoming and easy to talk to. Their handovers and updates in the nursery diaries and on the parent admin app are always thoughtfully written. My daughter is so happy there and just runs in without a look back. They always do activities with them and I definitely think my daughter has developed since starting here.

My son has been with Children First since he was two and now is four. He is happy there and he knows a lot of things from there. He likes all the staff and he wants to be back every day with his friends. Was the best decision when I sent my son there and hope all the children are as happy at nursery.

My daughter joined in September (aged one) and from our first visit to the nursery for a look around, we knew we’d picked a brilliant nursery! The staff and teachers are all really welcoming and extremely helpful with planning settling in days, accommodating my daughter's needs with foods and her development. She’s been here just over a month now and I couldn't be happier with how she’s getting on at children First (Main Street).

My daughter has attended since 5 months old. Children 1st @ Main Street Day Nursery has always been friendly, approachable and caring. The teachers and helpers know each child and work well to look after the kids. There are plenty of opportunities to see the kids in the nursery settings with stay-and-play sessions. My daughter regularly comes home with stories of what she learnt, made or discovered. She loves going to nursery and seeing her friends. Couldn't recommend Main Street enough.

Both my children are at this nursery and I can say that I am very satisfied with the care given to the children and the way they behave with them when they encounter something new or difficult for them. The staff is very involved in their development and learning. The place is very clean and airy, perfect for children. The food is also perfect and good, both children love the food there. From the point of view of money, it is an ok price considering the facilities. I recommend this nursery with all my heart.

She has a fantastic relationship with all of the staff there and she has taken a shine to one staff member, in particular, which is absolutely adorable! But all in all the relationships she has built with the staff makes me feel so much better about leaving her there. I would a million per cent recommend to anyone that is anxious about their child starting nursery to absolutely choose this one! I am so grateful for this nursery and the staff, they do an amazing job.

Children's 1st @ Main Street are incredible, they are so friendly and helpful which makes it easy to feel confident leaving your child in their care. My son has come on no end since starting at Main Street, even during his regressions the staff have supported my son and us at home to help guide him through it with their knowledge, understanding and patience. I love that we are invited to join them for "stay and play" so we get to see things first-hand and we get regular updates on the app which include important information to keep us in the loop (including observations and pictures of activities my son has been involved in). Keep up the great work guys, you should all be very proud of the work you are doing to help shape the future of our children.

I still can’t express enough about Children 1st @ Main Street! The nursery is so homey and the staff are ever so friendly! My daughter has come so far with how much she has progressed, such as her speech, social interactions and education! I’ve come to learn she has a best friend who she is inseparable with and they help to keep their friendship bond stronger by keeping them together which has helped my daughter a lot with her social interaction! The staff here are truly so amazing as now my daughter is progressing into the next class and are so helpful, they keep us informed with everything and are so kind so us and our little girl. I’ve never seen our little girl so excited to go into her classroom and the immediate happiness and comfort she clearly shows! Thank you team; you are amazing!

Any future children will also be attending this nursery. Overall, super happy with our experience, so thank you.

I was impressed with the staff's care and attention to detail. Well-organised, curriculum-based and age-appropriate toys. Highly recommend.

My son clearly feels very safe and happy at nursery, going straight in without a fuss and I always feel confident leaving him in the setting knowing he is well looked after and excited to go.

My daughter has been going to Children 1st @ Main Street Day Nursery for over a year now and we couldn't be happier. The staff are amazing and very creative with the activities. My daughter has made amazing friends among both staff members and other children and she is greeted every morning with a smile. As every parent, I was a little scared at first to send my firstborn to a nursery full-time, not knowing what to expect, but I was unnecessarily worried. My daughter loves going there and most days she runs in without even bothering to say bye to me! I can only take it as a good sign.

Our little girl has attended nursery from 6 months old, from visiting the nursery we knew straight away it was the right setting for our daughter. All staff are professional and you can tell they really enjoy the job they do. We enjoy reading regular observations to see what she’s been up to, staff are always keen to hear what we’ve been doing when we’ve not been at nursery. Highly recommend Children 1st at Main Street

My son has been going here since he was 9 months old and he has loved it ever since. He tells me all about his fun day and he eats everything they give him which is always a mixture of fruits, veggies and proteins. I have seen him come along brilliantly with his speech and social skills, nursery has been the best thing for him. He loves his teachers and seems very comfortable and trusting around them which for me is peace of mind. They have always kept me up to date with his progress and helped me with any issues.

My daughters only been going to this nursery since February, although she cries when leaving me she has the best time while there! She tells me all the stuff she’s done in the day when I pick her up. The staff are all really friendly, they help my daughter no end. I honestly couldn’t recommend this nursery enough! I was worried about putting her in a nursery at first but glad I have and it’s this one. Honestly can’t thank the staff enough for everything they do. Such an amazing place. Thank you

Since my son has attended this nursery he has come on leaps and bounds in all areas. I am kept updated at each pick up on daily tasks and food and then also with observations on parent admin which I love to see. I also like that you can add your own from home too. Staff are always so friendly and welcoming to myself and my son. Would definitely recommend sending your children here.

I’m so pleased we chose this nursery for our child. Management were so helpful when we were looking to attend especially as this is our first, and walked us through the steps and the processes. Our child has come on leaps and bounds since attending and I couldn’t ask for a better nursery.

Highly recommend this nursery. My child has been going since they were 7 months and the nursery have been amazing from the start. Staff are lovely and are always happy to help. Wouldn’t consider going to any other nursery in the surrounding area. Amazing provision.
