Nene Valley Day Nursery (Northampton)

Since the minute I stepped into the nursery I instantly felt that it was the right place to get my daughter into. My daughter has been attending nursery since the beginning of January and she absolutely loves it. She got settled super quick and the carers in the nursery, everyone in the nursery really, are all the most lovely people. Everything is always super clean and so welcoming, and all the staff are always the most helpful. Great place for little ones and the outside space is so lovely too.

My daughter started in the Caterpillar room at the beginning of January and the staff have been amazing. They have got to know her needs, which has helped to settle her and have been brilliant at keeping me up to date on how she is getting on in the room through parent zone and feedback at the end of the day. Knowing my daughter is safe and happy at Nene Valley is great. Thank you to all the staff.

I would highly recommend this nursery, both my daughters have attended from a young age, everything is provided in the price and the meals are worth the money, lovely friendly staff that have provided an excellent service throughout this pandemic supporting key workers and their children.

Nene valley is simply amazing! My son is always full of smiles, I have peace of mind knowing how happy he is and my daughter just left for school is flying thanks to their school readiness program! Thought-out the pandemic they have been fabulous ensuring safety and still finding fun! What is really special is every member of staff put their heart into caring for my son which shines through how they personalised their care and how happy he is. The menu is second to none and they have a wide range of nutritional foods. They teach core values and communication is always up to date. For me most importantly it’s fun and my son is thriving. I want nothing but the best for my son and Nene valley is that hands down!

Our son has been attending Nene Valley since he was 9 months old, he's now approaching 3! I can honestly say the care he has received has been second to none. The staff are amazing, and I believe they genuinely care for the children, they are always on hand to answer my silly questions or put my mind at ease when I've been worried about something. The nursery has such a lovely atmosphere, there is the right balance between learning and play. Having the Parent Zone app is a fantastic way of being kept up to date, and also sharing activities done outside of the nursery hours. I cannot recommend the nursery enough.

My daughter started at the Nene Valley one and a half years ago. She started from lady bird and now in bumblebees, we have found that the staff are very caring, loving and friendly with all the children. All the staff makes sure children are comfortable and safe all the time. We are very grateful for the wonderful service and support you all have provided us during this crisis and even before this crisis. I would really like to thank you all from the cleaning staff, kitchen staff, management and all at the nene valley for your great support and efforts to keep children safe. I will really extremely recommend this nursery.

I was very nervous about sending my son to nursery. But the Nene Valley team were very supportive answering all my questions and helping put my fears to rest. The team from the Caterpillars class is absolutely amazing. Kind, patient, thoughtful and just the best a parent could have. My little one adapted quickly and even on crying days, the team always made me feel comfortable because I know they care. Big thank you.

The nursery is of a great location. They open early to allow me time to get to work on time. My little boy was helped to settle in well and he now loves going. You can see how much he learns and he enjoys his time there. He is learning from the other children as well. The food is great with a wide variety. They have his milk bottles all ready so I just need to take him without the worry of that. Great nursery, very happy with the nursery.

Both of my children now attend the nursery, and I have nothing but praise for the whole team. The children are the heart of all they do and have been key in my children's development. All the staff very approachable and will answer any questions at any time. Their communication is always great and has been especially throughout the Covid-19 situation. As a key worker, my children continued attending the nursery throughout and I felt that my children were as safe as they could be. The nursery provides lots of learning opportunities and is always happy to support further learning where needed. The nursery itself is very clean and has great outdoor facilities available to all ages. My daughter is starting school in September and is well prepared for 'big school'. She will miss the team very much!

The nursery is clean which is reassuring during Covid-19.

I have been impressed with the standard of care given to my child at this nursery over the past year. All of the staff that I have encountered have been very approachable, understanding and provide an excellent service. Thank you for all of your support and care.

My daughter has been at nursery since she was 1. We were made to feel very comfortable and supported when starting her here. They met our needs for her and reassured us and gave lots of updates. She bonded well with workers and they were super with her. She can be a funny girl and grows attachments to certain people. The rooms have worked well together to keep those connections and help her move forward. She really liked the workers in Bumblebees and flourished in this room. She has especially grown a bond with one staff member, which at first had made things really hard for her when moving to pre-school. The room still let her see her which has been great for my daughter to now settle. She has taken longer in this room to settle than any of the others and seemed to regress with regards to toilet training. I am not sure if this is down to the number of children in the room but she was also struggling with drop-offs, however, she has now grown a nice bond with another staff member and seems much happier.

I would definitely recommend Nene Valley to others, and I am so grateful for their ongoing care and love during these difficult times. Without them, I would not be able to work as a key worker in the NHS; so thank you very much!

Our little boy has thrived in the time he has been at Nene Valley. There are many interesting and varied activities but more importantly, staff understand how to manage both positive and negative behaviour too. In the year he has been attending he has had all needs nurtured and developed enormously.

In this unprecedented time of COVID-19, the nursery has kept us informed at all times. Although our son is not physically going to Nursery, the ideas being provided via email are really good and a great way to keep him engaged.

Nothing is too much trouble for them and they worked hard at settling my little one into the nursery as she was quite unsettled and upset at being at a nursery to start with. On a personal level, they have been very understanding with me also, offering the ability to still breastfeed and sorting out other issues for me. My little one has really taken to her key worker and it made her life better there. Looking forward to going back.

My son has been going to Nene Valley Day Nursery for more than 3.5 years now and I feel it was one the best decisions to send him there. Couldn’t ask for more to shape my son's childhood. Special thanks to all the staff who are immaculate in what they do and take the utmost care all the children. Highly recommended.

My son has been at this nursery 4/5 months now. With it being his first time away from me, he settled in so well and his confidence has gotten so much better with people he doesn’t know and in himself. I love everyone there and they’re all so friendly to my son. My other children and me. It’s very welcoming. I would recommend to my friends and family.

Lovely nursery, which my child enjoys attending and has learnt a lot from attending. They undertake fun and educational activities with the children and a lovely thing is being able to see this on the nursery app.

Everyone has also been really accommodating throughout the coronavirus pandemic and flexible with my child's days in, and for 2 key worker parents personally we couldn't ask for more than this.
