My daughter and I really love this wonderful place. It is filled with fun activities, educational opportunities, and very friendly staff members who take care of her so very much. They understand her behaviour and development and have such wonderful learning journeys that are filled out with beautiful
photos and artwork my child has done throughout the years she has been here. Each time I open the door to the nursery, I am greeted and welcomed by friendly staff who are ready to help her to the breakfast table to begin her nursery routine. They also provide an excellent service to the children when catering to their hygiene and care. Thank you, so much Treetops Silvertrees Nursery for all you have done. You have made my little girl blossom over the years and she will always remember you!

We are really excited to be sending our son to Silvertrees Nursery after our daughter has just left here for school. Although she was there for a short period, she has grown so much and we wished we'd found the nursery earlier after we moved to the area. Our daughter loved going to nursery and asked
at weekends to go! She made excellent relationships with staff and her peers. Staff always greeted her in the morning and always said goodbye at the end of the day. We always had feedback on her day and what she had eaten etc. Staff supported us as parents with any worries we had with development and went the extra mile. Her key person was very knowledge and experienced.
The nurseries transition work for preparing for school was excellent and very well thought out and planned. Our daughter thrived at Silvertrees Nursery and we look forward to our son being in an excellent nursery to grow, develop and prepare him for school in a few years.

My little boy loves attending nursery, all the staff know his name and at drop off, he runs straight to his key person! he brings home lots of artwork and photos which keep us updated with the activities and learning he takes part it. Staff are lovely and polite, always giving feedback at the end of
his nursery day.

My little girl started at Silvertrees at 6 months old and has settled really well. She always has a smile on her face when I pick her up. She loves the opportunity to get involved with messy play and comes home happy. I am so pleased she has the opportunity to play with the other children and the room
is lovely. I am really pleased with the equipment and toys in the room. It's perfect.

Emma

Emma Dawkins

Job Title: Centre Director Joined: 2014

Since working at Derby Silvertrees from 2014,  I have worked in different roles starting as a relief member of the team, room leader, senior and deputy and proudly in 2020 took on the role of centre director.


I have a little boy who attends Derby Silvertrees full time so I have a good understanding of the importance of parent partnership, This means that myself and the team go above and beyond to include the parents in everything that we do and we have built excellent relationships with all of our families.


In the nursery I am extremely passionate about supporting my team with their practice, helping them to gain up to date knowledge and skills.  I have embedded the practice of outstanding teaching and learning centred around the children who attend Silvertrees to give them the best start in life.
