Absolutely awesome experience for my granddaughter. She is able to learn and play in a safe environment with excellent staff who understand her needs and have got to know her really well. Staff are developing her communication skills and the meet Santa experience helped me to see how she interacts with staff and other children.
Our child always comes home excited with lots of stories of the fun he has had at nursery that day.
Nothing is too much trouble, regardless of parents or children's wishes.
My son is always excited as soon as we pull into the carpark, this gives me comfort in leaving him within the staff's care.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Staff are so helpful and brilliant with the kids.

Words can not describe how happy and comfortable I feel leaving my daughter in such a fantastic nursery. They started last September 2017 in Monkeys and have thrived ever since developmentally and in confidence.
Thye have now moved to Hippos where the exemplary level of care and education has continued.
The staff are polite, professional and always have the children's welfare at heart. They take their time to get to know the children and the families who use the nursery and always have the time to talk to parents.
An amazing nursery with great resources, dedicated staff and passion to ensure children thrive and develop.

The staff are teaching him how to behave in and around people.
His confidence has grown vastly due to the staff being so patient and well trained.
In addition to the nursery/teaching side of things, the parent room is an excellent idea, as it's nice to get a cup of tea early morning and toast made by the staff.
Staff are able to identify a child's needs and developmental goals and put in place plans to work on these.

The facilities are excellent and constantly being improved, however, the staff are even better.
Our key worker is always supportive and has often provided excellent advice and guidance when needed.
Other activities such as Nativity, Halloween, are arranged and make great social occasions and great memories.
As children get older they present new and interesting challenges.
This nursery has been there all the way with us to ensure that we overcome these.
Special thanks to the staff for helping us through our wonderful journey.
We will be very sad when we have to move on to big school!

Meet the Team (1)
Since working at Derby Silvertrees from 2014, I have worked in different roles starting as a relief member of the team, room leader, senior and deputy and proudly in 2020 took on the role of centre director.
I have a little boy who attends Derby Silvertrees full time so I have a good understanding of the importance of parent partnership, This means that myself and the team go above and beyond to include the parents in everything that we do and we have built excellent relationships with all of our families.
In the nursery I am extremely passionate about supporting my team with their practice, helping them to gain up to date knowledge and skills. I have embedded the practice of outstanding teaching and learning centred around the children who attend Silvertrees to give them the best start in life.
