When starting at the nursery we were worried how our son would get on making new friends because he went from spending most years at a different nursery. To my great satisfaction, he was welcomed with open arms and made new friends quickly. He always has a smile on his face when picking him up. The
first words he replies with when we ask him what he did today is "had lots of fun." The staff here are amazing with all of the children and parents. They are very understanding with any problems you may have and are happy to help in any way they can. All in all, I am very pleased and happy to recommend this nursery to everyone.

Our son has attended Silvertrees since he was 11 months old and from that first day, we were impressed by the care and attention given to every childs need.
Over the three years, our son has thrived and this is partly due to the relationships he has built up with the staff at the nursery. This relationship
has developed and all the staff provide great role models to him as he learns and grows.
We are thrilled to have chosen this nursery of our son and will be sad to say goodbye when he heads off to shcool.

I am very pleased with the welcoming atmosphere I have received. I was extremely nervous about leaving my daughter but the manager made me feel at ease. The nursery gave me and my daughter the opportunity of a number of settling in sessions, for me to gain confidence and for my daughter to have a chance
to explore and familiarise herself within her environment before starting nursery. When she started they followed her home routine as much as possible, which I was happy about and continued to inform me how well she was doing throughout the day. Very happy!

My daughter has been at Silvertrees since January 2016, and we couldn't be happier. The staff are all amazing with her and she loves them all! Her development in all areas has come on leaps and bounds since attending. The daily activities that they set up allow her to explore all different areas of
messy play that she wouldn't be able to do at home. We are so happy at this nursery and would 100% recommend to friends and family.

I was very nervous about putting my 6-month-old baby into the nursery but I was reassured and now my little girl loves coming here. Staff are so friendly and very welcoming. I have been able to return to work knowing that my girls are having loads of fun and being well looked after.

Since starting at Treetops Silvertrees Nursery my daughter has become a much more outgoing individual. This is, I believe, due to the wonderful staff at the nursery, they are constantly encouraging all children to be friends and respectful of each other's differences. She has also come on in leaps and
bounds with regards to her letter recognition and writing. Going to nursery and being taught in such a positive atmosphere with her peers has only done her a world of good.

My son has been attending Treetops Silvertrees Nursery since he was 1 year old. He is now in the last stage at the nursery before he starts school in September 2017 the nursery is fantastic. My son has come on heaps, the staff are great and the manager is an absolute credit to have at the nursery.

This nursery is a very good place to keep your child.
The staff including the manager takes good care of all children and keeps the parents informed how the child is doing for the day.
Food is good child can have as much as they like.

My daughter is very happy at Treetops Silvertrees Nursery. She has a great bond with her key worker and each time I collect her I am given a thorough handover from a relevant staff member. I get feedback on her personal care as well as on her individual development, new words learned, activities she

My daughter has really settled quickly into the nursery. The staff have made her very welcome and she often greets them with a hug. The staff take an interest in my daughters development by teaching her new skills through activities that interest her. The garden is wonderful with plenty to do. Inside

When my son first started Treetops Silvertrees Nursery I was very nervous. The staff made me feel so secure and settled him in with his routine brilliantly. I could not have asked for a kinder more understanding set of staff. Their daily activities include a variety of learning and messy play and they

My son has had his ups and downs but when I get him to the nursery the staff are always good with him and settle him in well and he never wants to come home. The staff are always lovely and are so great with telling me about his development. My son has developed very well since coming to nursery.

Treetops Silvertrees Nursery has been my son's second home for the past four years. The team have helped develop his personality and education in line and alongside our parenting. The nursery has given him a great confidence I don't think he would have found outside of the nursery. We've all enjoyed

Emma Dawkins

Job Title: Centre Director Joined: 2014

Since working at Derby Silvertrees from 2014,  I have worked in different roles starting as a relief member of the team, room leader, senior and deputy and proudly in 2020 took on the role of centre director.


I have a little boy who attends Derby Silvertrees full time so I have a good understanding of the importance of parent partnership, This means that myself and the team go above and beyond to include the parents in everything that we do and we have built excellent relationships with all of our families.


In the nursery I am extremely passionate about supporting my team with their practice, helping them to gain up to date knowledge and skills.  I have embedded the practice of outstanding teaching and learning centred around the children who attend Silvertrees to give them the best start in life.
