I love this nursery! Especially the staff. Every staff member has a relationship with my child. I mean a personal relationship and they have a personal approach to my child. This is not just a place where my child goes to be there, this is the place she has a lot of fun and joy. The atmosphere here
is so good that you don't feel like you're taking your child to a place of business.

This nursery has met my high standards. My little girl is thriving and is very happy when she goes into and comes out of the nursery. The staff work so hard and communicate really well with us. They also worked hard with my little one settling in as she struggled but they reassured me so much and she

The care and attention of my daughter are second to none. Nothing is too much for the staff at Silvertrees. The environment is very friendly and welcoming the staff are very attentive and over the last 18 months the care has never been faulted throughout the pandemic
The team are very supportive of each individual child’s needs and development and is very encouraging to incorporate home routine into the
nursery.
The transition from 1 room to another is seem-less in our experience.
I’d only suggest that now we are coming out of the pandemic more is shared regarding day to day activities, development milestones, what we need to focus on more. We get these reviews quarterly but I’d appreciate more monthly maybe - however don’t want the focus of paperwork to get over the care of my child though!!

My daughter loves going to Busy Bees at Derby Silvertrees and this stems from such a positive transition at the beginning. The process is well thought out and it left us feeling really confident at starting our daughter at six months old. The management are so welcoming and have been so helpful with
any enquiries. The staff have always provided a caring, reassuring environment and they have created a great bond with my daughter and always made the effort to build a relationship with us as well. The use of the app has been a great way to know how she is doing day to day and also with her development. It has helped us to regularly see what her next steps are and therefore work alongside nursery with these. It has also enabled us to keep the contact which could have been hard to achieve during Covid-19. My daughter is very settled, happy and her transition into the next room has worked really well due to the hard work of the staff, where each child is at the centre of their decisions.

Truly wonderful and loving staff who know how to have fun with the children while also helping them develop. Great mix of activities from crafts to reading to outdoor time and at pick up time you can often locate your child by following their laughter.

My son has attended Treetops Silvertrees for the last three and a half years from a baby to a pre-school child. The staff have helped and supported him in every step of the way. He is currently in pre-school and loves the range of activities especially the science experiments.

My daughter has been attending Treetops Silvertrees for one year now and both I and my husband are so pleased we chose this nursery.
All of the staff have gotten to know our child and us as parents and made us feel welcome.
The staff support our child and we have been impressed at how she has grown
and developed in this time. Our daughter is now more confident and her social skills and interaction with others has improved significantly. We cannot thank the staff enough they are all friendly, supportive and are amazing with the children. On arriving at nursery my daughter runs to the staff she loves going there.

We have tried other nurseries but Silvertrees nursery is very good overall. My child is learning a lot. She eats very well here and starting to speak. She is confident and is playing independently now.

My son has settled I with the caring staff and will always care for his needs and stick to his routine.

The team are always really helpful and it's always a good sign when your child runs into nursery and looks forward to going most mornings. Great activities, equipment and meals available. I cannot praise the staff and environment at this nursery highly enough. My son and daughter both attend the nursery and the staff are caring and attentive to both their needs. It was such a great experience when it came time to put my second child into nursery to be able to take her to a place where
the staff were all so familiar. I know I can trust them to take excellent care of my children and they also pay attention to our needs as parents. The environment is always clean and welcoming and the children are always engaged in fun activities. One of the things I love the most is how much time the children get to spend outside. I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

Staff are always happy to see children.
Nothing is too much trouble, regardless of parents or children's wishes.

Emma Dawkins

Job Title: Centre Director Joined: 2014

Since working at Derby Silvertrees from 2014,  I have worked in different roles starting as a relief member of the team, room leader, senior and deputy and proudly in 2020 took on the role of centre director.


I have a little boy who attends Derby Silvertrees full time so I have a good understanding of the importance of parent partnership, This means that myself and the team go above and beyond to include the parents in everything that we do and we have built excellent relationships with all of our families.


In the nursery I am extremely passionate about supporting my team with their practice, helping them to gain up to date knowledge and skills.  I have embedded the practice of outstanding teaching and learning centred around the children who attend Silvertrees to give them the best start in life.
