The team at Woodville Nursery & Preschool recognises that every child is different with their own story to tell. The tailored spaces across their two sites ensure that each child learns in a way and at a pace that's right for them. Every day at Woodville, children are encouraged to be inquisitive and imaginative in their stimulating learning environments. In doing so, children soon develop a real love of learning and a curious mind.

Woodville's learning environments are split across two settings. The Blacksmith's Lane site provides all year round care for children from six weeks to five years old. At their brand new preschool on Moira Road, they provide sessional care for children aged two and older. Across both sites, Woodville is proud to have a highly experienced team with a wealth of early years learning insight, including educators qualified in Forest School.

  • We want to make life simple, so our fees include snacks and meals, cooked on site. For young babies, parents are requested to bring in their own formula milk.


    Children with preschool sessional care receive snacks and have the flexibility to bring in their own lunch or pay an additional £3 for a nutritious packed lunch prepared by our chef.

My daughter is 2yrs old with Down Syndrome and has been at the nursery since she was 8 months. They have been more than accommodating and supportive of both my daughters needs and ours as parents. Without their support my daughter would not have hit as many milestones as quickly as she has. All the
staff there are wonderful and take the time to get to know you and your child to provide the right care you want.

I would recommend this day nursery to anyone that is looking for high quality childcare. My daughter loved attending nursery and still talks about what she did at nursery. The staff are amazing and nothing was ever to much trouble.

Both of my children have attended the nursery over the last four years and I can honestly say there is no negative word to say. They are outstanding at everything they do. Both children have gained not only confidence but have both developed in all aspects. Would recommend anyone to bring their children
here.

My little boy went to this nursery from age one and has recently started school. The nursery has helped to prepare him socially, emotionally and academically for the transition and he is thriving. Now my little girl goes to the nursery. The staff genuinely care for the children and get to know them.
The children are fond of all the staff and the activities are engaging and appropriate in each room for the age of the children. My little girl loves going to nursery. As a parent, the staff, right up to the management team, give you the reassurance needed to enable you to be confident and happy for your child/children to be in their care.

Woodville is a lovely nursery for my son to attend. The staff are brilliant and are helping my son to meet his milestones also. I feel that nothing is too hard for the nursery - they always do everything we ask of them.

I am so impressed by the level of professionalism and caring that is shown at all.
It seems to be a happy place because everyone and I mean everyone has a big smile on their face.
My grandson loves going and is happy to stay and play all day. Anyone who is thinking of sending their child go and

My son attended the above nursery for two years. Throughout this time the staff were amazing with him. It is due to them (in no small part) that our sons is the intelligent, confident little boy that he is today. I would whole heartedly recommend this nursery to anyone.. unreservedly.

My son has a milk protein allergy (CMPA) and the nursery staff in baby room 1 and management have helped him by working with me to provide a dairy free environment ordering food to accommodate him, which has been exceptional and has made me very confident in the care he receives. I am happy and relaxed
leaving my son there whilst I go go work. He loves nursery, he's always smiling and has a very goodrelationship with all the staff. I wouldn't leave my son anywhere else.

Amanda

Amanda Gadsby

Job Title: Senior Nursery Manager Joined: 2002

Amanda has worked for Woodville Nursery School for over 20 years. She started as a student while completing her BTEC in Early Years, and progressed through the years to Senior Nursery Manager. She also obtained her Level 5 in Leadership and Management.


Amanda has two children who both attend the nursery school. She enjoys all aspects of her role and strives to achieve the best possible outcomes for the children at the nursery.
