The team at Woodville Nursery & Preschool understands that every child is unique, with their own experiences, interests and ways of learning. Their carefully designed spaces across two sites allow each child to learn in a manner and at a pace that suits them best. Children are encouraged daily to explore, question and imagine, helping them develop a genuine love of learning and a naturally curious mindset.

Woodville’s provision is spread across two dedicated settings. The Blacksmith’s Lane site offers year-round care for children from six weeks to five years old, while the newly opened preschool on Moira Road provides sessional care for children aged two and above. Across both locations, families benefit from a highly skilled team with extensive early years expertise, including practitioners trained in Forest School approaches.

Funding & Fees

Full day (7:30 am to 6:00 pm) from £74.25

We want to make life simple, so our fees include snacks and meals, cooked on site. For young babies, parents are requested to bring in their own formula milk.


Children with preschool sessional care receive snacks and have the flexibility to bring in their own lunch or pay an additional £3 for a nutritious packed lunch prepared by our chef.

Our daughter has come along in leaps and bounds since joining Woodville Day Nursery. They are always doing different activities and learning new things which our daughter loves.

It is a fabulous nursery with dedicated staff who genuinely care about their charges and do their utmost to nurture and develop them to their full potential in a safe and stimulating environment. My son loves coming and learns so much every day!

My son attended the above nursery for two years. Throughout this time the staff were amazing with him. It is due to them (in no small part) that our sons is the intelligent, confident little boy that he is today. I would whole heartedly recommend this nursery to anyone.. unreservedly.

My son has a milk protein allergy (CMPA) and the nursery staff in baby room 1 and management have helped him by working with me to provide a dairy free environment ordering food to accommodate him, which has been exceptional and has made me very confident in the care he receives. I am happy and relaxed
leaving my son there whilst I go go work. He loves nursery, he's always smiling and has a very goodrelationship with all the staff. I wouldn't leave my son anywhere else.

Amanda

Amanda Gadsby

Job Title: Senior Nursery Manager Joined: 2002

Amanda has worked for Woodville Nursery School for over 20 years. She started as a student while completing her BTEC in Early Years, and progressed through the years to Senior Nursery Manager. She also obtained her Level 5 in Leadership and Management.


Amanda has two children who both attend the nursery school. She enjoys all aspects of her role and strives to achieve the best possible outcomes for the children at the nursery.
