Children 1st St Peter & St Pauls is situated adjacent to St Peter & St Paul Independent School, providing a link that ensures an easy transition to the school environment.

The nursery has been refurbished throughout with bright, open areas for babies, toddlers, early years and out-of-school children, aged up to 12-years-old. Children are encouraged to choose their own activity with a huge variety of options indoors and outside. Outside there is a garden with carefully chosen, age-specific equipment.

Children enjoy nutritious, healthy meals, freshly prepared by in-house cooks.

Fantastic facilities and great staff who tirelessly combine education and entertainment for my son. Activities are innovative and regularly varied. Communication with my wife and I is excellent and they have been a great help with potty training in recent months. We are extremely grateful for the smiles
they put on our child’s face and we couldn’t recommend this nursery more strongly.

The staff at St Peter and St Paul work tirelessly to create a safe and welcoming environment for children that attend the nursery. They are dedicated to the cause and have the interests of the children at heart, allowing my husband and I to rest easy knowing that our child is in good hands. The facilities
are well kept and areas are regularly updated to keep the children engaged, assisting them in developing new skills and gaining their independence - our daughter loves going to nursery and has learnt so much there, she can’t wait to tell us all about her day in the evening. I would highly recommend.

Children have outstanding facilities and get to take part in activities that do not take place in other nurseries in the area - DT, woods visits, chicks hatching, baking and more. My son loves to come to nursery, which is a relief when you work full time.

My little boy has so much fun at nursery. He goes a couple of times a week and every morning he can't wait to go there and play with all the boys and girls.
He tries lots of different foods and is generally looked after very well. With the learning plans, we know exactly where he is and gives us pointers
to look for and help his development at home too.

My children started coming to St Peter and St Paul’s nursery in September 2019 and it was the best thing I could have done for them. I am so grateful for finding this nursery for my children. The staff are so caring and nurturing towards the children. The outdoor space and access to the woods are amazing,

I would highly recommend St Peter and St Paul Nursery - my husband and I have been thoroughly impressed with the nursery; the members of staff are all lovely and caring towards the children, the activities/structure of the day are perfectly set for particular age groups and the extracurricular options
are fantastic. Everything is well communicated to parents using an app too. Also, the sizes of the classes/rooms are perfect as not too many to each class and the activities are pitched correctly to that particular age range. I also like the fact that the nursery utilises the woods (when the children get older) and also encourage a lot of outdoor play, whatever the weather, for all ages (children get a lot of fresh air).

Our son is so relaxed at nursery now, there is no hesitation from him when I drop him off and he is always happy at pick up. He has had two three hour naps this week which shows how comfortable he is there! This is all credit to the girls who look after him. You can tell they genuinely care about the
children in their care. His motor skills and confidence are increasing week by week.

My little boy has attended this nursery for the last year since he was 9-months-old. All of the staff we have come into contact with have been helpful and welcoming. We were nervous initially and they made us feel at ease and were happy to answer any questions, and give us reassurance in the early days
until he settled. The settling in days were helpful. The staff managed his transition between rooms really well and went at his pace, keeping us informed. I love the updates and observations on the app and found the parents' evening really useful to understand how he is developing and progressing. He loves nursery and always seems to have such a fun good time when there!! Initially, the staff respected his routine and enabled him to fit into the class’ routine when he was ready to move him. I would highly recommend.

Choosing the right nursery is a significant step for parents. We trusted Children 1st @ St Peter & St Paul and our trust has been entirely repaid.
Since the very first days, we felt comfortable and we could appreciate our little one's enthusiasm and progresses. Our baby is so happy when she goes to
nursery and this is very reassuring in particular when we know she'll be there for several hours during the day. The staff are great, they really care about every baby and toddler, they are very proactive and supportive in understanding babies' needs, always sharing babies' progresses and involving parents. When you go to Children 1st @ St Peter & St Paul you just feel a fantastic atmosphere which makes you think "That's the right place for my little one!".

My son has attended this nursery for a number of years now for four days a week, and every day he is still as excited to be going to nursery as the first. We are always greeted at the door by the management and receptionist by name and there is always something, as a parent/family, to get involved with.
Special person day, grandparents day, summer fayre the list is endless. It's so nice for our whole family to have an insight into his nursery life. The relationships he has made in the past three years have been amazing to see with not only the staff (that I can't thank enough) but with his little friends too. I would recommend this nursery to anyone that is wanting to take their child to a nursery that is above the rest, has a lot of love to give and genuinely cares about your child's individual needs and you as a family. I will be very sad when September comes around and he goes off to school but I know he will be more than prepared and that's mainly down to St Peter & St Paul's.

Standard of facilities is excellent. Our son loves coming to nursery and sometimes we even struggle to bring him home! All the staff are lovely and our son has really bonded with several of his key workers. However, there are a few things which could be better - there are several events which have limited
spaces for parents and are allocated on a first come first served basis! We feel this is unfair as we often don’t hear about things until it’s too late as our son is only part-time.
Car parking can be chaotic - not a lot the nursery can do but worth highlighting to prospective parents.
The nursery provides fruit at the end of the day but this is often gone by 5 - it surely wouldn’t hurt to top this up for parents who arrive after this time (of which there are many).
These 3 things aside, it is a great nursery and we have no hesitation recommending it (so much so that our daughter starts in July as well).

After looking around a few nurseries we knew soon after arriving that St Peter & St Paul’s would be the nursery our daughter would be going to.
The smallest of touches had a big impact for us such as the personalised welcome signs and the fact all staff and parents have to take their shoes off before
entering the baby room.
It really demonstrated to us that the staff really do care.
Our daughter started quite a few months after our visit and as a first time mum of a baby with a milk allergy it was a very emotional and anxious time for me.
The staff are so friendly, approachable and understanding at such a huge time in your life it makes the transition a little less daunting.
Our daughter has developed a really good bond with her key worker which again I feel reflects the supportive, engaging and safe environment of the nursery.

Our daughter has attended this nursery for well over a year now. I have no doubt that she is well cared for and that she thoroughly enjoys her time here - which means the world to me. The staff are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable and have really helped to try and bring my daughter on in her development.
Whenever I collect my daughter at the end of the day, a wonderful key worker feeds back on what she has been up to, with warmth and enthusiasm and it’s always a pleasure to hear.
The facilities are second to none - you will not find a nursery like it in the area. From the extensive classrooms and play areas to the freshly cooked meals and well thought out activities. I have found the staff and managers extremely supportive and despite being very busy, always seem to have time for my numerous questions. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to others.

What a wonderful nursery. Both my boys attend Children 1st at St Peter and St Paul and we couldn’t be happier. The staff here create a warm and nurturing environment where children are very well looked after. We particularly like the range of planned activities which are carefully thought out to stimulate

Children's 1st at St Peter and St Paul are amazing. The whole journey from starting my daughter at ten months old to now (3.5 years) has been faultless. I feel so close to all the staff and in fact, they have helped me transition through the many stages of parenting and child stages from weaning to
potty training to phonics. My daughter's key workers have always made me feel so involved and valued, feeding back lots of little bits of information that, as a mother, are so important but yet seem so minor e.g. she ate peas today. They always work with my concerns and challenges to help reinforce that learning at nursery e.g. listening to mummy. My daughter has excelled so rapidly with her social and learning skills. The staff have completely captivated her into the learning journey and she loves role play, counting, phonics and messy play. She even role plays the nursery environment at home. The facilities are remarkable with the outside play, role play area and woodland visits.

From the people who work at St Peter & St Paul, to the amazing facilities, to the coffee van in the morning at drop off time (life-saving) and the efficient administration, this nursery really is second to none. The regular newsletters keep us up to date as well as the topic guides and how they fit
with EYFS which helps us to connect learning at home. Working full time, having all meals included saves us so much time and allows us to spend our time at home with our daughter during the evenings. The forest sessions every week are a highlight, sparking imagination and conversation. The updates via the online app are great to see what our daughter has been up to while she is in. I’m sure I’ve missed something, but every detail is really fantastic. Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since attending. I’d recommend to anyone.

From day one, the staff made our son very comfortable and in the 4 months that he has attended nursery he has developed dramatically. The daily diaries keep us informed and the parent portal reports are fantastic. All in all, we have one happy boy in the nursery which equals happy parents.

Hello, my name is Lisa Phillpot and I joined Children 1st in 2010.


I started my journey as a newly qualified Nursery Educator and progressed through senior positions, becoming Deputy Manager with the Over 2’s, and now Manager of the Baby Suite for the Under 2’s.


I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Care and Education, which I’m really proud of.


I love watching the children develop into little people and knowing that we’ve helped shape their personalities. I also enjoy supporting and developing my team, helping to build a new generation of confident, passionate nursery educators.


I am especially passionate about supporting our families and creating a safe, nurturing environment where our children can learn, grow, and develop new skills.

Hello, my name is Natalie Fern and I joined Children 1st in 2009. I started as a newly qualified practitioner and over the years worked my way up to a Senior role, then Deputy Manager, Early Years Lead, and have now been Nursery Manager for the past three years.


I’m proud to hold a BA Honours Degree in Early Years Education.


What I enjoy most about my role is supporting our children and families as they grow and develop, while also seeing how the nursery team continues to support and lift one another.


I’m passionate about creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment where both children and staff can learn, thrive, and reach their full potential.
