Children 1st St Peter & St Pauls is situated adjacent to St Peter & St Paul Independent School, providing a link that ensures an easy transition to the school environment.

The nursery has been refurbished throughout with bright, open areas for babies, toddlers, early years and out-of-school children, aged up to 12-years-old. Children are encouraged to choose their own activity with a huge variety of options indoors and outside. Outside there is a garden with carefully chosen, age-specific equipment.

Children enjoy nutritious, healthy meals, freshly prepared by in-house cooks.

Staff to children ratios are better than Ofsted recommend and the nursery also offers funded places for eligible 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

Our Daughter's overall development and communication skills have rapidly improved since attending this nursery, and the staff are friendly and extremely professional. The children are engaged and encouraged in learning activities and the facilities are excellent.

My daughter has been attending St Peter & St Paul's Nursery since May 2014 and I could not fault them.
The staff are exceptional and my daughter has always enjoyed nursery and often doesn't want to come home. The facilities are outstanding and my daughter learns so much from her 2.5 days a week there
but yet still says how much fun she has.
I would not hesitate in recommending the nursery to friends.

Couldn't be happier with the nursery, the staff who look after my little boy are wonderful.

My son has been at Children 1st @ St Peter & St Paul from 7 months. He is now over 2. He has Goldenhaar Syndrome meaning substantial hearing loss and a small ear. My son loves the nursery and certain people in particular. I have been continually impressed by the team. I would like to express particular
praise for the staff who have all had key involvement in his development. Special thanks to the manager who has always been kind, considerate and reassuring when we have had concerns. I am a very proud mum of a little boy who despite a physical deformity and substantial hearing loss is thriving both at home and in the nursery. To talk to my son today, you would not know he had had such severe hearing loss between a few months and 1.5 years. He has gone from being a shy boy saying few words to one of the more confident in the class. My son can now talk in sentences and says words that we have not taught him. It is not possible for our son to have had better care.

Our child is developing very well and enjoys a variety of environments, all with a similar consistent approach (grandparents, parents and nursery)
Our child has settled well and started walking at 11 months and has the opportunity to practice and is encouraged by all staff members. The only limit is
the amount of space in the baby suite, which is fine on a quiet day or a warm day when they can access outside, however, limited during winter.
Whenever we have made any requests the staff have been great.
Our child has a fantastic rapport with his keyworker, which is great.

My daughter settled into nursery straight away and this is down to the caring, dedicated staff at Children 1st @ St Peter & St Paul. The environment is amazing and the staff go over and above the call of duty to provide the best learning experiences for my daughter. She often comes home telling me all
the exciting things she has been doing at nursery.


It is such a relief as a parent working full time to know that my child is so well cared for at nursery and enjoys her time there. She loves it so much that she asked to stay all day instead of her usual morning sessions!


Cannot recommend this nursery enough and we will both be sad when it's time to leave for school.

Everything about this nursery is right.
As soon as I went to have a look around with my 11month old I knew he was going to be cared for. From then until he was ready to leave for school the teams have done such an amazing job at looking after my son and helping him become the best he can be. They
are genuine, educated and passionate about their roles which clearly shows through in the children. I cannot thank them enough. Would definitely recommend.

We knew the moment we visited this nursery that our children would be cared for in the best place.
The equipment, surroundings and meals are fabulous, but most importantly to us the staff are amazing and so loving. Our children have the opportunity to learn by doing so many more things than I would
ever think to do at home, and all supported by key workers who gently bring out their developing confidence and abilities. We couldn't wish for better.

From the second we walked into Children 1st St Peter & St Paul I breathed a sigh of relief, we were met by attentive, supportive professional staff who listened to our needs and concerns and addressed them without hesitation. I still remember the faces of the children enjoying their day at nursery
on our show around visit they all looked so happy and so clean. This was a huge improvement from other nurseries we visited. Our son was 9 months old and like most other parents we were apprehensive to leave him but from day one he loved every minute of his time there, we had the emotional days where he didn't want us to leave, I'd hang around at the door riddled with guilt about leaving him but I was always assured he'd be ok, I'd ring 10 minutes later from the car, feeling like the overprotective mother but I was always put at ease and never made to feel silly. From day one to graduation day our sons time atChildren 1st St Peter & St Paul was full of love, care, fun, learning and adventure. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend St Peter & St Paul.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. My twins have just graduated after being here full time for over 2 years. I owe this nursery so much for helping me in bringing up my children to be kind, caring and well mannered little people. The facilities are outstanding and I love how much they value outdoor
activities whatever the weather. The staff are professional and friendly. This is a fantastic nursery and will not be disappointed.

An excellent nursery! My two children are both here and I have been using this nursery since 2014. The staff are friendly, attentive and very caring. Lots for children to do and there is a variety of toys to keep them interested and entertained.
The nursery has recently been refurbished. Very accommodating
and the staff/management work well with parents. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone wanting a safe, welcoming, enjoyable environment for their child.

My little boy has been at this nursery since he was a baby and honestly I would recommend anyone looking for a nursery to come to this one, my little man goes to big school in September and I know already that he's going to miss this place and the staff here, I have watched my little boy grow into an
intelligent, caring, fun loving and outgoing little man and that's all down to the staff here at Children's 1st @ St. Peter and St. Paul's. Nothing is ever too much trouble, they have made my son and myself feel welcomed from day one and even I am going to miss them, a massive special Thank you to his teachers who this year have looked after my son and he has grown to love these two so much, they make drop offs and pick ups so easy and smooth and they think out the box if needed to help, they are a huge credit to the nursery and have been a major part in my sons growth so Thank you so much. I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

I have used this nursery since December 2012 and have always been highly delighted with the care my children have received. Both my children have gained in confidence and ability as a direct result of their time in nursery. The nursery staff have always been supportive with anything that is happening
outside of nursery especially potty training and a new sibling. All the staff have a can do attitude and my children are always happy when I collect them. I intend to use the facilities of this nursery for after school and holiday cover when my children reach the appropriate age as I don't believe I can receive a better service elsewhere.

My son is 16 months old and has attended the nursery since he was 9 months old. He attends 2 days a week. My son is very happy at the nursery, he gets excited when we arrive and smiles for his key/co worker. As a mother this gives me such peace of mind. The facilities have always been clean, modern
and age appropriate and recently there has been a refurb in the baby suite, making it even more exciting for the children. Information sharing between workers and parents is also very good, meaning we feel up to date with our son's daily nursery life. The online 'ey' system is a great way for our child's development to be monitored and we can see this on a phone app, we can also add to it documenting his milestones. I cannot recommend the nursery enough.

Our daughter joined a different nursery ages just over two and a half. The staff, especially the girls in the Peter Rabbit room has been wonderful with her. Nothing I ask is too much trouble and they always have time to answer any queries or questions I may have, whether in person or on the the phone.
Her educational needs have been met really well for her age, learning is fun for her and we can see the progress she is making so clearly. I sincerely hope that this continues as she moves through into the early years room.

Our daughter started at Children's 1st at 6 months...all the staff within the baby unit made both our daughter and I feel extremely welcome and helped no end with the transition of her being at home to starting at full time nursery. Since starting she has absolutely blossomed and developed into a real
character, we believe this has a lot to the the quality of care she receives on a day to day basis. The sense of a family environment within Children's 1st at St Peter and St Paul's is fantastic and makes us feel at ease leaving our baby there all day. The Manager and her team are complete professionals and I would always recommend this nursery in a heart beat! Thank you.....

Hello, my name is Lisa Phillpot and I joined Children 1st in 2010.


I started my journey as a newly qualified Nursery Educator and progressed through senior positions, becoming Deputy Manager with the Over 2’s, and now Manager of the Baby Suite for the Under 2’s.


I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Care and Education, which I’m really proud of.


I love watching the children develop into little people and knowing that we’ve helped shape their personalities. I also enjoy supporting and developing my team, helping to build a new generation of confident, passionate nursery educators.


I am especially passionate about supporting our families and creating a safe, nurturing environment where our children can learn, grow, and develop new skills.

Hello, my name is Natalie Fern and I joined Children 1st in 2009. I started as a newly qualified practitioner and over the years worked my way up to a Senior role, then Deputy Manager, Early Years Lead, and have now been Nursery Manager for the past three years.


I’m proud to hold a BA Honours Degree in Early Years Education.


What I enjoy most about my role is supporting our children and families as they grow and develop, while also seeing how the nursery team continues to support and lift one another.


I’m passionate about creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment where both children and staff can learn, thrive, and reach their full potential.
