My daughter seems to love nursery, never any tears and made my transition back to work a lot easier than expected. I especially love the activities provided such as painting and arts etc and her keyworker is great. I would and do highly recommend this nursery
My little girl has been going to this nursery since she was 6 months old and all I can say is 'this nursery is outstanding'. If I have another child, I will differently be sending them to Children 1st.
Staff are always friendly and provide a warm and caring environment for my child.
Activities are age appropriate and appear to be tailored to individual child needs.
I am happy with progress and development of my child since attending the nursery.
Excellent care. This the 3rd of my children and all three have always been extremely happy and socially adjusted. My older two have adjusted well to primary school and they received excellent preschool preparation and care there. My kids are confident and independent and this nursery contributed to these characteristics. Staff are all excellent and genuinely care for the children. The environment is clean and conducive to learning and developing. I will always highly recommend this nursery.
I'm very happy with the nursery and I wouldn't want my child anywhere else. I highly recommend this nursery and feel very comfortable about my child staying here and they always have a really lovely day and the staff are just fantastic.
The activities which are carried out are well characterised into themes but are pertaining to real life so gives greater purpose for the children. I am really pleased that my daughter is enjoying nursery and all that all people involved do to make the nursery a home from home but learning and nurturing environment.
My daughter's key worker has gone out of her way to ease her transition to the nursery and is wonderful with her.
I'm delighted that my daughter gets to attend this lovely nursery
Outstanding facilities inside and outside. Staff in baby suite really care, are approachable and put you at ease. I feel happy leaving my daughter because I know that she is safe, happy, learning and developing and is having fun!
Professional and friendly staff work hard to offer the highest standards of childcare in the area. My son has blossomed since starting at Children's 1st when he was 10 months old and he is now 2. He loves going and has so much fun when he is there. My second child will also be starting here when he is 11 months old and I am looking forward to seeing the effect being at the nursery will have on him too! All queries and concerns are dealt with effectively and quickly by staff to ensure you are comfortable leaving your child in their care. Each child is made to feel like an important individual who is valued by all staff. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough!
Our Daughter's overall development and communication skills have rapidly improved since attending this nursery, and the staff are friendly and extremely professional. The children are engaged and encouraged in learning activities and the facilities are excellent.
The staff are exceptional and my daughter has always enjoyed nursery and often doesn't want to come home. The facilities are outstanding and my daughter learns so much from her 2.5 days a week there but yet still says how much fun she has.
I would not hesitate in recommending the nursery to friends.
Anything I ask of the staff in the baby suite is always done they always spend time giving me a great review of my sons day.
My son has been at Children 1st @ St Peter & St Paul from 7 months. He is now over 2. He has Goldenhaar Syndrome meaning substantial hearing loss and a small ear. My son loves the nursery and certain people in particular. I have been continually impressed by the team. I would like to express particular praise for the staff who have all had key involvement in his development. Special thanks to the manager who has always been kind, considerate and reassuring when we have had concerns. I am a very proud mum of a little boy who despite a physical deformity and substantial hearing loss is thriving both at home and in the nursery. To talk to my son today, you would not know he had had such severe hearing loss between a few months and 1.5 years. He has gone from being a shy boy saying few words to one of the more confident in the class. My son can now talk in sentences and says words that we have not taught him. It is not possible for our son to have had better care.
Our child has settled well and started walking at 11 months and has the opportunity to practice and is encouraged by all staff members. The only limit is the amount of space in the baby suite, which is fine on a quiet day or a warm day when they can access outside, however, limited during winter.
Whenever we have made any requests the staff have been great.
Our child has a fantastic rapport with his keyworker, which is great.
My daughter settled into nursery straight away and this is down to the caring, dedicated staff at Children 1st @ St Peter & St Paul. The environment is amazing and the staff go over and above the call of duty to provide the best learning experiences for my daughter. She often comes home telling me all the exciting things she has been doing at nursery.
It is such a relief as a parent working full time to know that my child is so well cared for at nursery and enjoys her time there. She loves it so much that she asked to stay all day instead of her usual morning sessions!
Cannot recommend this nursery enough and we will both be sad when it's time to leave for school.
As soon as I went to have a look around with my 11month old I knew he was going to be cared for. From then until he was ready to leave for school the teams have done such an amazing job at looking after my son and helping him become the best he can be. They are genuine, educated and passionate about their roles which clearly shows through in the children. I cannot thank them enough. Would definitely recommend.
The equipment, surroundings and meals are fabulous, but most importantly to us the staff are amazing and so loving. Our children have the opportunity to learn by doing so many more things than I would ever think to do at home, and all supported by key workers who gently bring out their developing confidence and abilities. We couldn't wish for better.
From the second we walked into Children 1st St Peter & St Paul I breathed a sigh of relief, we were met by attentive, supportive professional staff who listened to our needs and concerns and addressed them without hesitation. I still remember the faces of the children enjoying their day at nursery on our show around visit they all looked so happy and so clean. This was a huge improvement from other nurseries we visited. Our son was 9 months old and like most other parents we were apprehensive to leave him but from day one he loved every minute of his time there, we had the emotional days where he didn't want us to leave, I'd hang around at the door riddled with guilt about leaving him but I was always assured he'd be ok, I'd ring 10 minutes later from the car, feeling like the overprotective mother but I was always put at ease and never made to feel silly. From day one to graduation day our sons time atChildren 1st St Peter & St Paul was full of love, care, fun, learning and adventure. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend St Peter & St Paul.
I cannot recommend this nursery enough. My twins have just graduated after being here full time for over 2 years. I owe this nursery so much for helping me in bringing up my children to be kind, caring and well mannered little people. The facilities are outstanding and I love how much they value outdoor activities whatever the weather. The staff are professional and friendly. This is a fantastic nursery and will not be disappointed.
The nursery has recently been refurbished. Very accommodating and the staff/management work well with parents. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone wanting a safe, welcoming, enjoyable environment for their child.

Hello, my name is Lisa Phillpot and I joined Children 1st in 2010.

I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Care and Education, which I’m really proud of.
I love watching the children develop into little people and knowing that we’ve helped shape their personalities. I also enjoy supporting and developing my team, helping to build a new generation of confident, passionate nursery educators.
I am especially passionate about supporting our families and creating a safe, nurturing environment where our children can learn, grow, and develop new skills.

Hello, my name is Natalie Fern and I joined Children 1st in 2009. I started as a newly qualified practitioner and over the years worked my way up to a Senior role, then Deputy Manager, Early Years Lead, and have now been Nursery Manager for the past three years.
