Bakewell Forest School Nursery

All the staff are always happy and so kind and caring with the children. The atmosphere is lovely and my son loves going to preschool. I love the communication on the app it's such a great way to feel included in what my son gets up to in the day. The staff always seem to go the extra yard to make everything great in every way. Thank you!

Our son has been at Child 1st (Bakewell) Day Nursery since April 2021 and we've been so impressed so far, even with not being able to ever see inside the nursery before this year due to Covid! The communication has always been great and we've always felt so confident that our child has got the best care and support we could ask for. The staff have always championed our child and celebrated his every success. It's so lovely to see how much he loves the staff and he enjoys going to nursery very much! Thank you everyone.

Child 1st (Bakewell) Day Nursery was so much more to us than we could have ever imagined. Our little one started at 10 months old and has just left to go to school. At every stage he, and we, have been well supported and he has enjoyed it so much there. There is so much wonderful space and the staff are super creative in how they use it. The staff are kind, caring and have always gone the extra mile. We will miss our Child 1st family so much! Thanks for the last four years!

He made very good friends with everybody, this has helped him with moving on to infant school.

The nursery have been fantastic settling our son into nursery and helping with his development. The updates they provide are great, especially when we get pictures and videos of what he's doing. The staff are great - friendly, informative and helpful. Always keen to share when we pick him up what he's been doing and how he's feeling.

Both of my children attend nursery. One in preschool, one in the baby room. They both love nursery. It is a lovely place, lovely food for children, plenty to play with, feel so happy to leave my children here.

Granddaughter is in the baby room and has loved attending Child 1st Day Nursery from the very start and didn’t take very long to get settled in. She gets excited to go to nursery and spend time with all the girls that take care of her.

My daughter currently attends this nursery and my son has just moved up to primary school from here. Both children absolutely love going in and talk about how much they love the staff. Communication upon pick up and drop off is amazing and it’s also lovely to have photos and videos throughout the day showing what they are up to. All incidents are dealt with in a caring and calm manner, amazing forest school on Thursdays, always a different activity each day, I have complete trust in everyone that looks after my child. Thank you everyone at Child 1st (Bakewell) Day Nursery!

Bottom line is that my little boy loves it there and that is so reassuring and makes my heart happy.

This nursery is wonderful. Having two children, one that has left and one that currently attends, I received amazing support from all the staff with any concerns I have. I feel at ease with the fact I can contact my child’s key worker throughout the day and see what my child has been doing all day. There is so much this nursery offers overall, it is a wonderful place for a child to start their schooling journey.

I can not give Child 1st Bakewell Day Nursery enough praise, they are absolutely fantastic, my daughter enjoyed every minute of her time here and my son who currently attends in the preschool room can't wait to go every morning, as a parent it is a huge relief to know they are so happy while there and they're in such a safe and enjoyable environment. I can highly recommend the nursery to any new parents or anyone moving into the area, your kids will receive the highest level of care.

We have an 18-month-old and a preschooler at Child 1st (Bakewell) Day Nursery and have been absolutely delighted with our experience. The app is fantastic, allowing you to see exactly what the toddler has been eating/drinking and how long he has slept, which is valuable information when you're settling them down for the evening! We get regular photos, videos and updates on their progress. The staff are lovely and the facilities are top-notch. We feel very lucky to have our two there and would recommend the daycare to anyone.

Our little boy absolutely loves every day he spends at Child 1st (Bakewell) Day Nursery. He started there in March 2021 after a big house move and lots of change and has grown in confidence every single week. He talks about his keyworkers even when he’s not in nursery, as well as all the other children there and the sense of community for the kids is clear. I feel safe and happy leaving him in their hands and love watching him walk up to the door eager for another day of fun!

Since my daughter has been coming here she has come on leaps and bounds, being a lockdown baby she never had much interaction with other people until nursery where she has really come out of her shell and her confidence growing. The staff are amazing and my child always seems happy to see them and runs up to them.

The service has always been amazing from dropping my daughter off nearly a year ago in the baby room when I started back at work after maternity leave to now she is about to move into the toddler room. I cannot thank the staff enough. My daughter has gone from throwing up from being so upset at the doorway to loving her day with you. Thank you for your patience, perseverance, and kindness.
