Child 1st (Bakewell)

We moved our daughter from her previous nursery as a place became available here. This was an excellent decision for all, our daughter is thriving there and the atmosphere seems fun, loving and stimulating. We are always updated throughout the day and we look forward to the reports. We love that she goes outside everyday and the newly renovated baby room brings a calm and nurturing space for the babies to play. Our daughter comes home relaxed, happy and full of new words and skills.

The staff are enthusiastic and caring staff. We get regular updates compared to other providers used for our other child. Our daughter loves going to nursery and this is testament to the environment she is met with. Thank you!

My son went to this nursery from being a 9 month old baby up to being a four and a half year old boy, so all the way through nursery until he started school. He has just graduated from the nursery and left to start school. I wanted to write this review because this is an excellent nursery! My son was a shy clingy baby when he started the nursery and years later, he left the nursery as a happy confident independent boy, and that is mainly because of the excellent care he received from everyone working there. This nursery was like a second home to him and the staff who work at the nursery, in every room, are absolutely fantastic at their jobs. The staff do lots of fun, creative and educational activities with the children and keep parents well informed throughout the day with lots of photos and videos. This nursery was such a life line to me and my son and I will really miss all the lovely members of staff who work there! I honestly cannot recommend this nursery enough! Sarah, mum of Leo

All the staff are so lovely and nothing seems to be too much trouble.

Child 1st Bakewell provides a loving, stable and nurturing environment for our daughters. The team have been instrumental in engaging the girls in daily tasks to grow their skills and keep them stimulated and active. They instil the values that I want them to have, and they work with us as parents to give the girls stability, consistency and kindness.

My daughter has been attending for just over a year. The baby room staff are all lovely, welcoming and helpful, in particular my daughter's key worker who has been there every step of the way and kept me informed of everything she has done and achieved in baby room through the app. My daughter loves the homemade food at nursery eating near enough all of every single meal put in front of her. She walks straight through the door with no hesitation at drop offs and comes out excited to show me what she has made throughout the day. In all she loves attending nursery and taking part in activities that she wouldn't necessarily be able to do at home and building friendships with other children.

Child 1st is a great nursery for my little boy. He enjoys himself whilst he's there and the team take great care of him. Communication is great and very efficient. It's great to see observations on a regular basis to see how's he's developing. Great also to see activities planned each week for exploration and developing independence.

I feel content dropping off my daughter in the morning as I know she is in good hands.

Would highly recommend it, cannot fault the wonderful team here!

Our son started at this nursery back in May this year, and at the start he was very emotional and didn't want to attend nursery. The staff have been very patient with him and have given him the space to feel comfortable and gain confidence in a nursery setting. The room leader in his room has had a really positive impact on him and he enjoys attending twice a week - the other staff in the room are also lovely and send us regular photos of the activities that they get up to.

My two year old has been attending this nursery since she was 11 months and she loves it. My daughter will come home saying her room leader's name and how much she likes her. She's always up to fun activities that are great for her development.

All the staff are extremely accommodating. They're so good with my son and since starting have aided him in his learning. He's coming on leaps and bounds because of them. The staff are so good at keeping parents up to date with their kids in the nursery. We get multiple pictures each day and detailed notes of food intake, changings and naps. Cannot fault the team, they're great.

Amazing nursery!! Staff can never do enough to help and ensure my daughter is happy there. Both my kids attended Child 1st Bakewell nursery. My youngest has just moved up to the preschool room and her transition was really smooth. My eldest still talks of her happy times at nursery despite now being at school. I love the updates on the app to see what my daughter is getting up to whilst I'm at work. Thank you for all that you do.

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery here, she has great relationships with both staff and children and I feel so comfortable leaving her in their care! Recommend to anyone!!

Overall brilliant in every way.

We can see he is learning to interact with others as he will get involved with other child now in his home life and he will use simple hand language.

Our son loves Child 1st Nursery, I have found his confidence, speech and interaction have progressed since attending. He has started to engage in conversation about the children he has played with as well as the activities he has been taking part in, to which is a vast variety. The staff are amazing and offer encouragement in all the things he tries, from drinking out of a cup to taking part in games. He has also started to try different foods at home since starting which is good.

I can 1000% recommend Child 1st, Bakewell, both my children have had the best care imaginable during their time there. My eldest is leaving for school shortly and says he hopes school is as much fun as nursery! The staff are incredible, nothing is too much trouble. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
