Child 1st Solihull is a purpose built nursery that boasts a whole range of child friendly features; from under floor heating to the windows which go from floor to ceiling, from well-lit modern rooms, to there being no stairs and lots of changing and toilet areas.

The challenge was to ensure that the outdoors reflected the indoors and both are well resourced and run, with a team that really has developed an understanding of the needs of young children and aims to involve them at every level.

With access to the outdoors from every room and increasingly developing age appropriate environments both indoors and out makes Child 1st ideal for providing care and learning in an urban area.

My daughter started of in babies at just 9 months, where she grew a lovely bond with all the girls but particularly her key person, she spent day in day out bonding with my child and making her first bit of time at nursery so amazing for both me and my child. She then went on to tots room where she
gained a really good connection with her new key worker. She would get really excited to go to nursery to see key key worker and all of her friends. Although her time was short in tots, her key worker still managed to gain the best bond with her. She's now in toddles and has really strong bonds with the staff and loves coming in to see her friends and get up to some fun stuff, she grew very close to her key person who she loves and has a really good bond with. She then went over to another member of staff's group and has really made such a good bond with the other staff member in the short while she's been in her group. The staff are all amazing throughout the nursery and I can't wait to send my new little girl here.

Child 1st has been amazing with the looking after and development of my son. With his autism diagnosis, they've been super helpful and are always pushing for the best care and support that he needs. He's been going to Child 1st since he was 1 and I can honestly say the development I've seen and progress
of my son has been massively influenced by the wonderful staff that work there. 100% would recommend this nursery as they really go above and beyond.

Our daughter started here in September. We were very anxious about her starting nursery and we are so glad we booked a viewing with Child 1st as they put all our anxieties at ease. They took time to inform us of everything we needed to know and answer any questions we had. They allowed plenty of time
for settle in sessions to help with the new adjustment and gave time to get to know our daughter and her needs.
Would recommend child 1st!

My son has been attending Childs 1st Nursery for the past few months and since he started we have noticed a huge improvement on his communication and speech.
Two staff members in particular are always sending updates and photos of his day on the app and always call me straight away if there are any
issues when he's been a little unwell.
The nursery itself has a very welcoming atmosphere and you can tell all the children really enjoy it.

My little one has attended Child First since January. He settled in well and enjoys going. The staff are friendly and supportive and he looks forward to seeing them. They update the app throughout the day and I can contact any time to see how he is doing.
He has a range of healthy meals and snacks
each day which is also recorded on the app.
He has developed since joining and always comes home happy telling us about what he has been doing and playing all day.

My daughter has attended this nursery since September 2023 at 1 and a half years old.
The nursery offered settle in sessions when she first started which was great and also helped me too.
The app is great as you always get up to date information and pictures about your little ones day.
If you have
any concerns or questions you can message them on the app if you cant call.
My little girl has loved the Tots rooms ever since she started, all the girls that work in there are lovely and always keep me up to date on what she's been up to.
They are always offered lovely healthy meals, and snacks. And have always got little activities for the little ones to get stuck in with.
My daughter loves her nursery and goes in smiling and comes out smiling each day! Which is what you like to see as a parent to know that they enjoy themselves!
I would definitely recommend this nursery to friends and family

My twin boys have been going to Child 1st since February and they have come on in leaps and bounds thanks to the staff at Child 1st.
My boys were very premature and I was really concerned they wouldn't meet milestones. But as I said the staff have been amazing in supporting them to achieve everything
they've needed to and more.
I was very anxious when I was choosing a nursery as the boys were on oxygen at home for a couple of months due to there prematurity, and even though they were off it a long time before starting nursey, knowing that the nursery had experience and knowledge of babies/infants/toddlers on oxygen put my mind at ease and they were aware that made them a little more vulnerable in catching common childhood illnesses.
The boys have built such a great bond with staff and are always happy to go in to nursery and enjoy their time there. I'm so glad I chose Child 1st, they are amazing.

Fantastic staff, my children settled almost immediately and love going to nursery! Staff are always great with the kids and make me feel comfortable knowing my children are looked after.

My son joined when he was 7 months old and he has loved it a lot, knowing that my child thrives and is looked after is so good! I can check in on the app throughout the day, see what he's eaten, if he's slept, been to the toilet.
I love the activities and the photos they put together, and I appreciate
if they take them out, they call to check with you first.
My son has just turned one and is developing so well, he eats anything, been walking since 10 months old and loves other children!
Price wise I think it's a fair cost, yes it's expensive, but the safeguarding, the activities, the friendliness and the food he's given, makes me happy and I can leave him with peace of mind!

My daughter is in tots 2, she only joined the nursery at the start of September. Since then she has come on leaps and bounds. The nursery is a lovely place, every class has access to the garden. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Reaching the nursery stage for our son was daunting. How will he settle in, will he be ok, will he be cared for, will he like it, will he develop? These are just a small number of examples of questions in your head as a parent. The staff at Child 1st, particularly the staff in Pre-school 1, have made
the whole experience so much better than we expected. With regular contact through the app, chats before and after and the recorded journeys/observations, my wife and I are confident that our lad is getting everything he needs out of the nursery experience. This is supported by his own words, telling us how much he enjoys it, how good of a day he has had, wanting to go back tomorrow and have best friends. From a parent's perspective, it's been great. Keep up the good work.

My son started in November last year and has settled in so well at the nursery thanks to his key worker and the other baby room staff! They are amazing. All of the staff at nursery have always gone above and beyond and I feel really content with the quality of care he is receiving. The nursery always
participates in a variety of holidays/celebrations and involve the parents as much as they can which is great. I couldn’t fault the nursery and would recommend it to anyone.

My grandson has been coming to Child 1st Solihull for over a year now and I can honestly say I have seen a massive change in his speech. As this is an area he struggles with but he will happily sing nursery rhymes now by himself, thanks to the lovely staff for supporting him. Also when I have collected
and dropped my grandson off, staff are always so friendly and approachable.

My son started attending Child 1st Solihull from a very young age of 6 months old, to which I was quite nervous about, however, it was the best decision as he has developed extremely well, and the staff had always made sure that he was thoroughly cared for. Initially, I had looked around at a few other
nursery options, and this nursery by far was the best choice. They have been so attentive and supportive throughout looking after my son in nursery, to which he is now 16 months old and I can say that he has developed so well in terms of his social, emotional and cognitive ability thanks to the learning and encouragement at Child 1st Solihull. I am always provided updates throughout the day in terms of what my son is doing and I am always informed of everything important. I’m very glad that my son attends this nursery to which he loves a lot. Also, all of the staff are so amazing and kind, too and my son has thoroughly built connections with the workers in his room.

My daughter has been at Child 1st (Solihull) for over a year and honestly I’m so happy with the nursery, I don’t have any family local to me and going back from maternity leave I searched and searched for a nursery to give me that ‘feeling’ and as soon as I stepped into the door of Child 1st I got that
feeling and knew that was where I wanted my daughter to go. The staff are amazing, my daughter has been in two rooms now and is currently in tots but the staff in both rooms have been wonderful and I feel so lucky that my daughter has them while I’m at work. I dread to think of her leaving there one day, 1000% recommend.

Our Daughter is in Toddler Room and has been in there since she started last year. She absolutely loves it and has made amazing relationships with all the staff. The staff are amazing. Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting here and it's all down to the staff, her confidence has grown,
her talking, counting, just everything. They do so much with the children and she is always learning new things. Just want to say thank you so much toddler room and all the staff at Child 1st, so glad we picked this nursery for our daughter.

Our daughter absolutely loves it here, she is currently in toddlers and has learnt so much since she started there almost a year ago. The staff in toddlers are amazing with our daughter as she always comes out smiling and talks highly of them and how much fun she has had. I have no concerns whatsoever
