Child 1st Solihull is a purpose built nursery that boasts a whole range of child friendly features; from under floor heating to the windows which go from floor to ceiling, from well-lit modern rooms, to there being no stairs and lots of changing and toilet areas.

The challenge was to ensure that the outdoors reflected the indoors and both are well resourced and run, with a team that really has developed an understanding of the needs of young children and aims to involve them at every level.

With access to the outdoors from every room and increasingly developing age appropriate environments both indoors and out makes Child 1st ideal for providing care and learning in an urban area.

My daughter is in tots 2, she only joined the nursery at the start of September. Since then she has come on leaps and bounds. The nursery is a lovely place, every class has access to the garden. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

My daughter started in the tots room in September. Lovely nursery, great communicative staff members. She has settled in really well especially through the use of settle sessions. I feel at ease with my daughter being here.

Reaching the nursery stage for our son was daunting. How will he settle in, will he be ok, will he be cared for, will he like it, will he develop? These are just a small number of examples of questions in your head as a parent. The staff at Child 1st, particularly the staff in Pre-school 1, have made
the whole experience so much better than we expected. With regular contact through the app, chats before and after and the recorded journeys/observations, my wife and I are confident that our lad is getting everything he needs out of the nursery experience. This is supported by his own words, telling us how much he enjoys it, how good of a day he has had, wanting to go back tomorrow and have best friends. From a parent's perspective, it's been great. Keep up the good work.

My son started in November last year and has settled in so well at the nursery thanks to his key worker and the other baby room staff! They are amazing. All of the staff at nursery have always gone above and beyond and I feel really content with the quality of care he is receiving. The nursery always
participates in a variety of holidays/celebrations and involve the parents as much as they can which is great. I couldn’t fault the nursery and would recommend it to anyone.

My grandson has been coming to Child 1st Solihull for over a year now and I can honestly say I have seen a massive change in his speech. As this is an area he struggles with but he will happily sing nursery rhymes now by himself, thanks to the lovely staff for supporting him. Also when I have collected
and dropped my grandson off, staff are always so friendly and approachable.

My son started attending Child 1st Solihull from a very young age of 6 months old, to which I was quite nervous about, however, it was the best decision as he has developed extremely well, and the staff had always made sure that he was thoroughly cared for. Initially, I had looked around at a few other
nursery options, and this nursery by far was the best choice. They have been so attentive and supportive throughout looking after my son in nursery, to which he is now 16 months old and I can say that he has developed so well in terms of his social, emotional and cognitive ability thanks to the learning and encouragement at Child 1st Solihull. I am always provided updates throughout the day in terms of what my son is doing and I am always informed of everything important. I’m very glad that my son attends this nursery to which he loves a lot. Also, all of the staff are so amazing and kind, too and my son has thoroughly built connections with the workers in his room.

My daughter has been at Child 1st (Solihull) for over a year and honestly I’m so happy with the nursery, I don’t have any family local to me and going back from maternity leave I searched and searched for a nursery to give me that ‘feeling’ and as soon as I stepped into the door of Child 1st I got that
feeling and knew that was where I wanted my daughter to go. The staff are amazing, my daughter has been in two rooms now and is currently in tots but the staff in both rooms have been wonderful and I feel so lucky that my daughter has them while I’m at work. I dread to think of her leaving there one day, 1000% recommend.

Our Daughter is in Toddler Room and has been in there since she started last year. She absolutely loves it and has made amazing relationships with all the staff. The staff are amazing. Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting here and it's all down to the staff, her confidence has grown,
her talking, counting, just everything. They do so much with the children and she is always learning new things. Just want to say thank you so much toddler room and all the staff at Child 1st, so glad we picked this nursery for our daughter.

Our daughter absolutely loves it here, she is currently in toddlers and has learnt so much since she started there almost a year ago. The staff in toddlers are amazing with our daughter as she always comes out smiling and talks highly of them and how much fun she has had. I have no concerns whatsoever

Tots room have been amazing with my son! He loves to go to nursery and has come on leaps and bounds since starting. The best! They always update me on the app and if I have anything to ask throughout the day they reply straight away.

My daughter's time at Child 1st is coming to an end and what a time she has had. In the years she has been attending this nursery she has never left at the end of a day with anything but a smile on her face. She has learnt so much, made great memories along with some friends she will never forget (staff
included). The nursery itself (building) is full of so many activities and fun things for the children to do in every room (and there are lots of them). It is clear that this nursery spares no expense. Even when there isn't (during COVID) the staff keep parents up to date with the family app. I would like to say a massive thanks to all the staff (practitioners, kitchen staff and management) as they have all been so welcoming and friendly throughout our time making not only my daughter but myself also feel part of a family. Could not recommend enough!

I cannot fault this nursery! The effort and time toddlers put into my daughter and keeping me updated on her progress and friendships and development.
She goes in so happy and comes home every week over the moon. Telling me all about what she has done today and who she has played with. The staff are

My daughter is part of the toddlers group and she has very strong relationships with all the staff. She really does enjoy going into nursery! I’m always given an overview of her progress and love seeing pictures of her playing outdoors with her friends.

My son's been here for a year and a half after a bad experience with another nursery and he’s come along so well and loves it here. Never had any issues and the staff are all amazing and happy to help. My son loves going every day and will be sad to leave for school nursery.

My child started here in January and having only been with family previously she took a while to settle in but the room staff supported her and made her feel comfortable quickly. As my child has additional needs they are very welcoming and support her and allow other teams to come in and work with them
to help my child. The outdoors at the nursery do wonders for my child who loves being outside and to be able to explore.

I think Child 1st is a brilliant nursery. My child is happy and supported by the nursery, they keep you updated with everything your child does through the day which helps ease your mind. My child has special educational needs and the nursery have been excellent in supporting him and trying to further
his development. The help they have given me with referrals has been amazing. They have gone above and beyond and I couldn’t thank them enough.

I have 3 children that go to nursery one in the baby room, one in Tots room and one in Preschool 1.
They all look forward to going into nursery.
All their key workers are lovely and they all support me with the children.
The staff are really lovely as well and they make you feel very welcome.
