Child 1st Solihull is a purpose built nursery that boasts a whole range of child friendly features; from under floor heating to the windows which go from floor to ceiling, from well-lit modern rooms, to there being no stairs and lots of changing and toilet areas.

The challenge was to ensure that the outdoors reflected the indoors and both are well resourced and run, with a team that really has developed an understanding of the needs of young children and aims to involve them at every level.

With access to the outdoors from every room and increasingly developing age appropriate environments both indoors and out makes Child 1st ideal for providing care and learning in an urban area.

Both my children have attended this nursery and I honestly can't fault them, they are amazing and provide such care for the children as well as supporting their development. They always listen to any concerns you have about your children and are very supportive with transitions. The activities and outdoor
area are great. My son will be sad to say goodbye when he starts reception this year. Best nursery by far!

My son started nursery during lockdown and I was worried about how he’d settle in, especially as I’d only be sending him one day a week. The staff were fantastic and allowed him to have as many settling in sessions as he needed prior to officially starting, which is something many other nurseries don’t
offer.
He settled in well and absolutely loves going, always comes out with a smile on his face. Communication is great and staff are lovely and welcoming. They have always tried to accommodate my child when I’ve needed to send him in for extra sessions. Would 100% recommend!

Love sending my son to Child 1st Day Nursery. Teachers are amazing and give so much support and time to each individual. My son absolutely loves coming to nursery. Love the cosy environment, food and activities. Wish he could stay here forever. Thanks to all the staff.

She's enjoyed every moment of it. Always excited to go. She's progressing so incredibly well there.

My son has been here since July 2021, he loves being here and always walks in with a smile on his face. The staff are easy to approach about anything, I like it that I can see what my son has eaten on the app.

My daughter has attended Child 1st Day Nursery since July. She was really hard to settle due to being a lockdown baby. The girls in baby room have worked so hard with her and she now really enjoys nursery. She has come on so much since starting and I love how I am kept informed of how she is getting
on through the app. I would highly recommend this nursery.

This nursery is brilliant, never had a problem here, my son absolutely loves it. He has become such a character since joining this nursery, he has made loads of new friends and likes the teachers too. I always thought my little boy was shy around people especially if they are new to him but he's not
here. He has learnt so much and is always telling me new things he has learnt and about how much he enjoys nursery each day after finishing. I would highly recommend!

My son loves nursery, his key worker and other staff of the baby room. He has come on leaps and bounds since being at nursery and the work they do with him is amazing. He is always such a happy little boy when I pick him up and I’m so grateful for the support they also give me if I have any worries
about his health etc. The observations are my favourite part as to see what he gets up to on a daily basis helps me in knowing he is happy while learning and playing with his friends and the staff. Would recommend.

Both my children have gone to Child 1st, my youngest is now in toddlers. My youngest can be hard work but the toddler team have helped him come on leaps and bounds in many ways. He always enjoys nursery and comes out with a smile on his face, thanks to the amazing staff there. Would highly recommend

Both our children attended this nursery over the last 4 years and it has been outstanding. Very helpful and friendly staff, the children love it and get to experience so much in terms of fun, activities, learning and development. I would not hesitate in using in the future again, couldn't recommend

My daughter started here in April and is 2. I was so nervous with sending her to a nursery as she has separation anxiety and always has to be by my side. Staff were so understanding with this. My daughter had many settling in sessions with many tears but the staff were amazing and continued to gain
her trust. She now goes running in to her key worker sometimes forgetting to give Mommy a kiss goodbye. I'm updated every day with her progress and love hearing how she now plays with all the other little children and she always comes out with a smile. Would highly recommend.

The staff is friendly and collaborative. My child has adapted quickly and his progress is clearly visible. In addition, when he wakes up he asks to go to nursery and he even asked to sleep there with the children. For me, this only means that I can recommend this kindergarten with all confidence.

Both of my children have attended the nursery now and without a doubt, any future children will as well. Having worked in education myself it is consistently clear that the staff are all dedicated and have a love for what they do and to me this is really important. I feel my child is safe at all times.
He has some allergies and the staff go above and beyond to ensure he is cared for accordingly. I’m kept up to date with how he is and what he has been doing by an app which is extremely practical.

A fantastic nursery that I cannot fault. My little boy loves nursery, he goes in and comes home very happy. The staff are fantastic and he has clearly formed bonds with them. I feel happy going to work knowing that my boy is happy and very well looked after. The app is always updated with comments and
pictures so I can see what he is up to during the day. It is clear to see how he is quickly developing in all areas. Thank you for all that you do for my son.

I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough, my two year old has been attending since September and I can’t fault them at all. He goes in happy, comes home happy and has formed a lovely relationship with his key worker, as have I. All of the staff are great, really approachable, nothing is too much
trouble and I fully trust that I am leaving him in the best hands. The activities they do with the children are wonderful, he has so much fun in a comfortable, safe environment and I couldn’t ask for more!
