My First Friends Rubery is a welcoming, purpose-built nursery located in the outskirts of Rednal, Birmingham. The nursery provides a stimulating and safe environment where children can learn and play.

With its large spaces and carefully designed rooms, My First Friends Rubery has a ‘family-feel’ that makes children feel comfortable and at home. Located close to the village, the nursery offers easy access to a range of amenities for families to enjoy. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The open-plan environment features several age-appropriate rooms, each with easy access to the outdoor garden area where children can explore and learn. The Baby room provides a warm and calming environment, where babies can develop at their own pace and explore sensory play. The Pre-School rooms offer access to ICT equipment, including an interactive whiteboard, to support all areas of learning and development.

In addition to indoor learning spaces, My First Friends Rubery has a garden area built with soft surfacing for safety, providing children with an opportunity to learn surrounded by nature. Regular visits to the village in Rednal allow children to engage their physical abilities through walking and exploring.

My son has really settled in well at the nursery. He always has great fun. They do lots of fun activities with the children. I can really see a difference in his confidence and independence. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's also great you can keep track of what your child's doing and
eating, etc. throughout the day on the app.

My daughter attends My First Friends and she has done for nearly two years. The nursery is clean and the staff are absolutely amazing! I highly recommend and I always advise other moms and dads to pick My First Friends for their child’s nursery!

My daughter has been attending this nursery for about 9 months now, and we are very happy with the nursery. She has progressed in her learning so much since attending. I explained to the nursery when she started her dietary needs and cultural needs, which are always met, and the nursery always makes
sure her cultural needs are met by focussing activities around these. The nursery is always working to high standards.

Both my son and daughter have or are attending My First Friends nursery over a period of 6 years. Both have enjoyed their experience there and with both myself and my wife working full time, it's a relief to know that the children are in safe hands. Really would recommend this nursery to anyone who

Over the past 12 years all 3 of my children have attended My First Friends Nursery. I have been very impressed with the consistently high level of care provided by the staff over the years and it is very reassuring to see some of the same friendly faces still there today that were there when my son
attended almost 12 years ago.
My youngest daughter will be graduating from pre-school this summer. She loves going to nursery each day and has great relationships with the staff and her friends. She is now an extremely confident and independent little girl, who loves to learn and is very well prepared for school. There will definitely be tears on her last day and she will be counting down the days until she can go back and join her sister at the holiday club!

My daughter started at My First Friends Rubery in Septemeber 2017 and has absolutely loved it from day one. She is in the pre-school room and has made lots of friends which I was a bit worried about.
The staff are always very friendly and there is excellent communication between the nursery and parents.
The parents evenings are well organised and informative and the app on the phone is brilliant. The reports are always really detailed and I know exactly what stage my daughter is in her development and what we can work on at home.
They always provide a wide range of activities, my daughter is always coming home with something she baked at nursery! She loves the outside play area and also dressing up with her friends.
All in all, this is a fantastic nursery, I have never had any concerns whatsoever about my daughter's care while she's there, and would recommend to anyone.

My daughter was only 5 months when I went back to work so me and my husband were understandably worried about handing her to complete strangers. The staff at My First Friends were absolutely brilliant, they made me and my husband feel really confident and comfortable and even though it was very hard
for me that first day I knew she'd be well looked after. What makes it a great nursery for me is the staff are extremely understanding and happy to help with anything. While you're at work you can call them at any time to get an update on how she is, and they never seem like you're bothering them. There is also a great app you can download on your phone that updates you on everything she's doing, nappy changes etc. Which is perfect when I'm busy in meetings all day I can quickly go online and check how she's doing they even upload a photo of her which is so reassuring to see. I couldn't recommend them enough! They've genuinely helped make the decision to go back to work a lot easier.

Before we chose My First Friends Nursery we did check about 15 other nurseries. It is a difficult choice but we are so pleased that we decided to send our daughter to First Friends Nursery at Rubery. She was scared at the beginning but with a big help from all nursery workers who gave her attention
and loads of cuddles, she is happy there now. She is really happy when she goes there. All ladies are so nice and helpful. I do not have to worry about my daughter because I am sure she is in good hands.

My son has settled really well at this nursery after changing from another provider due to a move of home. He has been at My First Friends for many months now and really enjoys it. The staff in his group are very constant and always very helpful and knowledgeable. I have had some really good advice
when my son has been going through some difficult stages. He has learned a lot from nursery and has a lot of fun. Also, the facilities are fantastic such as the interactive screen. I have great confidence in this nursery and the staff who I really can't praise enough. The outside space is really big which is great for toddlers who need to let off steam. Overall, I can't fault this nursery which is great peace of mind.

My little boy has attended My First Friends Rubery since he was 10 months old, he is now 2 and a half and has settled in from day one. The nursery is fully equipped for all my child’s needs with continuous improvement plans in both the nursery facilities and my child’s development.
I wouldn’t send
my child anywhere else. Staff are friendly and it can be very daunting leaving your child with strangers but they soon no longer become strangers and fill you with complete trust in taking care of your child.

My daughter started My First Friends when she was ten months old and she’s still there now, currently in pre-school (age 4).
From day one I was so impressed with the whole nursery. The staff are so friendly and approachable. There is a real ‘family feel’ to this nursery. All staff are professional
and experienced and build wonderful relationships with the children throughout their journey. I’ll be very sad when it’s time for her to leave and go off to school.

My son has been attending this wonderful nursery three full days a week for nearly two years and I am happy to say he is now attending pre-school here.
I have nothing more than great things to say about the nursery and each and every member of staff here. My son absolutely adores them all. The nursery
has wonderful facilities such as the secret garden, sensory room, and soon the forest school which I'm excited about! Recently they launched an amazing app which updates you throughout the day on what your child is up to, it has their learning journeys on it and all other reports. This is brilliant, I love it!
The staff have been such an amazing support for us throughout his time here, they were brilliant with his potty training, learning to walk and talk, how to play with others and his whole learning journey. I am happy to say he is doing very well and that is thanks to the team here. I feel so blessed that my son attends such a wonderful place. Thank you all.

Our child has been attending this nursery for over a year now. We are very pleased with the staff, their enthusiasm, genuine interest. They maintain overall accountability in the form of daily feedback and regular contact with parents. They have recently introduced a mobile app based feedback with
real-time updates including foods, activity, sleep times, learning journals and summative reports. This system has been greatly impressive for working parents like us to track the developmental progress of our child. Most importantly, our child loves the place here. The children are welcomed by staff in a caring environment and parents like us leave the place dropping off our child feeling very reassured to selves. We have had no concerns about food/ nutrition. We would certainly recommend this nursery to anyone.

Leaving my 10 month old was hard but the nursery made it as smooth as it could be. I've seen such a positive leap in her development already and its only been a month. She is undertaking activities I just couldn't provide at home all linked to the developmental curriculum. With the app updates I can
see how she is doing over the day - from activities, to what she's eating and how much; sleeping; drinking and even nappy changes. I'm confident she is happy in such a spacious nursery with friendly attentive staff.

My daughter has attended My First Friends for 4 months now and I cannot fault the service I have received to date. My daughter is happy to be left with the staff members every morning, I have not had a single day where I have had to leave her crying (which is one of every parent's nightmares). The staff
are always very friendly and I find it very easy to talk to them about anything I feel I need to discuss. The care they have shown for my daughter, and every other child I have seen them interact with has been outstanding. They use an app to show how my daughter is getting on during the day, putting my mind at rest when I cannot be with her.
