My First Friends Rubery is a welcoming, purpose-built nursery located in the outskirts of Rednal, Birmingham. The nursery provides a stimulating and safe environment where children can learn and play.

With its large spaces and carefully designed rooms, My First Friends Rubery has a ‘family-feel’ that makes children feel comfortable and at home. Located close to the village, the nursery offers easy access to a range of amenities for families to enjoy. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The open-plan environment features several age-appropriate rooms, each with easy access to the outdoor garden area where children can explore and learn. The Baby room provides a warm and calming environment, where babies can develop at their own pace and explore sensory play. The Pre-School rooms offer access to ICT equipment, including an interactive whiteboard, to support all areas of learning and development.

In addition to indoor learning spaces, My First Friends Rubery has a garden area built with soft surfacing for safety, providing children with an opportunity to learn surrounded by nature. Regular visits to the village in Rednal allow children to engage their physical abilities through walking and exploring.

My First Friends nursery has been nothing but amazing, supportive and so helpful for my two-and-a-half-year-old. She has never been in a nursery setting before so I was extremely nervous and so was she but I was immediately put at ease on her first day by lots of smiling faces and words of support from
the staff. They have been super helpful with the days I needed and have been wonderful and so loving to my little girl. She has struggled but the way the staff have helped her settle in is something I couldn’t be more grateful for. At only two weeks in she is already much more relaxed. I am so thankful for everything everyone has done for my daughter. I’m so glad I chose My First Friends for my little girl! She is going to make the best memories there with the best care! Thank you to all who look after her, it means so much to me!

The nursery is fantastic. My twin boys attend and have been welcomed with open arms. The staff are attentive, personable and friendly and my boys go to nursery happy, content and feeling secure. They communicate very well with parents and provide updates in a timely fashion. Highly recommended by 2

Nursery is doing fine but in the prior years, it was much better. Feel like standards are slipping a bit in terms of teacher to student ratio, cleanliness and general organisation. Staff really supportive and child really forms a bond with them.

My First Friends Nursery is an outstanding nursery. My daughters have thrived there. They have grown in confidence and are a lot more sociable now and I am so proud of them especially because of how far they have come since they joined the nursery so I will be forever grateful to them.

Our son has been going to My First Friends in Rubery for the last 3 years.
Over this time the staff here have been so wonderful. The ladies have been so attentive with the children and teaching our son and the children a wide range of skills. My son has come out of his shell so much. The management
staff have been fantastic. The manager has been an amazing manager, whenever I pass the office she is always extremely hard at working away ensuring the best practices are applied within the nursery, however, both of the ladies have been very amazing and fantastic in the running of the nursery and always master everything with very high standards and at the same time, despite how busy they are, always have time for the mom's and dad's of the children whether for a general chat or advice when needed. Lovely nursery/ excellent staff and amazing management make My First Friends a joy for our son to be part of.

My 4-year-old daughter joined this beautiful nursery in January 2023. She loves going to the nursery. Her skills developed more, she can draw and write some of the numbers and the alphabet. She loves all her teachers. She’s well looked after. Would love to thank them for all their help and for getting

This nursery is outstanding by all measures, my child's progress is so visible in speech, social skills and confidence especially! The staff is superb and always helpful, my girl loves that place! I would recommend this place to anyone with peace of mind!

The nursery does go above and beyond for me and my son, he’s been going through lots of tests at the hospital and as a single mum, the nursery have been nothing but supportive. I will never stop telling people to send their children here.

I could not rate this Nursery any higher! Since my child has started here he has come on leaps and bounds in terms of his development, the communication from the nursery is excellent, the staff are amazing and you can tell how much they truly care about the children.
The facilities are excellent with
lots of open space and activities, especially the outdoor space which my child particularly loves.
I could not recommend this nursery enough to anyone who is looking for a childcare provider for their little ones!

Nursery is lovely staff are brilliant caring and understanding. Management and Staff take time to help with any problems and have brilliant relationships with children and parents. The nursery is a lovely inviting setting with a lovely outdoor space.

The nursery staffs are excellent and very caring for my child. I would rate 5 stars for them. On the downside, the finance team is awful, money-minded and charges for all the bank holidays even if the child comes only 2 days a week. They are not helpful in citing terms and conditions. It is not the

My daughter has been in nursery since October 2022 and I am extremely pleased with how well her development has come along. At first, I was quite nervous leaving my child with strangers but I was always rest assured by the app that she was ok with regular updates and when collecting her on an evening
time.
I want to give a special thanks to all the key workers who have started this journey with her as they have been fantastic! She loves going to nursery and she has come such a long way, I’m excited to see more of her character coming out in the next few months/years. The regular parents' evening updates are also great for both me and her father to sit there and see how well she is doing. Thank you My First Friends, Rubery! - if I could rate higher, I would.

This was my son's first month at full-time nursery and away from me and Dad. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and have helped my little boy settle in very quickly. He seems so much more happier and confident within himself. The staff are extremely friendly to everyone and make it less daunting
to leave your child, especially as a first-time Mum.

Fantastic school caring, loving and accommodating. My son loved to go all the time, despite the fact he is meant to attend two days a week. I would recommend My First Friend school to everyone I come across always.

Since my child has gone back to this nursery, she's so much happier in herself. She is progressing better with her communication and has made friends.

Positive experiences with this nursery.
Management is easily accessible and has provided flexibility and assisted in booking additional sessions which is greatly appreciated.
The app is good, staff provide continuity and regular updates. Staff always make time to communicate at the end of the day.

Couldn’t have asked for anything more. All the staff are lovely and so caring to all the kids. My daughters absolutely love going there and feel so comfortable. It means so much to see your children happy and comfortable and I feel so at ease leaving them to play with all their friends.

Many thanks from the heart for all your hard work, love, dedication and patience to the children, and for keeping personal belongings in order (toys, clothes), helping with potty training, caring when they were not feeling well, making everyday a fun environment to go to which was also very important.
My
First Friend Nursery and all the lovely staff were part of both my son's development and first stages in life and helped prepare them for school through creative and educational activities.
They also learnt the months of the year, the days of the week, the numbers, etc, through play and songs that were easy to memorise.
A big thank you to all the team.

Hello, I'm Claire and I'm the Nursery Manager here at My First Friends Rubery. I am qualified Early years foundation degree/level 5 management.
