My First Friends Rubery is a welcoming, purpose-built nursery located in the outskirts of Rednal, Birmingham. The nursery provides a stimulating and safe environment where children can learn and play.

With its large spaces and carefully designed rooms, My First Friends Rubery has a ‘family-feel’ that makes children feel comfortable and at home. Located close to the village, the nursery offers easy access to a range of amenities for families to enjoy. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The open-plan environment features several age-appropriate rooms, each with easy access to the outdoor garden area where children can explore and learn. The Baby room provides a warm and calming environment, where babies can develop at their own pace and explore sensory play. The Pre-School rooms offer access to ICT equipment, including an interactive whiteboard, to support all areas of learning and development.

In addition to indoor learning spaces, My First Friends Rubery has a garden area built with soft surfacing for safety, providing children with an opportunity to learn surrounded by nature. Regular visits to the village in Rednal allow children to engage their physical abilities through walking and exploring.

I preferred it when we got updates throughout the day on the app, it gave me some comfort that I knew what was happening.
I loved the photo and activity updates but these are now less frequent.
I love how friendly all the staff are, they feel like family when we pick up our child. They always listen
when we have additional needs.

No bad words at all against what they do and support my child's progress. My baby started in March with no English at all, they were so patient and gave me feedback on what to do step by step. Actually, my elder daughter was there in 2017 as well and I was so pleased with the support and friendly staff
there and that's why I have no doubt of choosing them again when my second daughter is reaching the age. Highly recommended them, I have told so many of my friends already about how good they are.

Our son has been going here since he was 1 and we have always had a wonderful experience with My First Friends. The staff are lovely and attentive. He has been very happy there and we will be sad for him to leave!

My First Friends has been amazing. I have two boys, one attended many years ago he is now 14 and my youngest is two. Both went from 6 months old and the nursery staff have been accommodating, welcoming and reassuring with the care of my children. They even remember my eldest son.
They have adapted
to change particularly well and have managed parents through this process with very little if any impact to the children. This is their recent joining of a wider nursery group. My only worry is the individuality of the nursery remains. Having had the removal of their own social media page and presence is a concern. However, the collaboration can only support the needs of the children.
Staff can not do enough for you and more importantly for your child.

My son has been at the nursery for almost 2 years now. Since going he has come on a lot with the help and support from the staff.
My son is not your average 2 and a half year old, he's nonverbal and struggles with socialising with other children, however, while going to nursery he learnt how to deal
with things out of his control, share with others and is trying to communicate more with others.

Very friendly staff who always do their best to fulfil the parent's needs. The nursery has a good outdoor play area which is great as my son loves it but I believe that children should go out only if the weather is adequate or under their parent's authorisation.

My child has been attending since nine months old, and they have absolutely thrived by being at the nursery and love going every week. The staff are lovely, approachable and put our minds at ease with any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend the nursery.

Lovely nursery. Friendly staff and my daughter has learned so much and really flourished here.
I love how she role plays nursery at home and it really shows how kind and loving the staff are to the children.

I only have positive things to say about My First Friends nursery! My little girl started with them just before she was 1 and she settled really quickly into the baby room thanks to the wonderfully nurturing and friendly staff. She has recently moved into the D&E room and has again settled quickly,
staff at the nursery ensured that her transition was seamless and the new staff have made an effort to get to know her and comfort her as much as possible. They have supported her with her potty training and I feel that her communication and language has come on leaps and bounds with the help of her time at nursery.

The nursery have been amazing since my child started in September last year. Their continued support has made a huge impact on my child’s development. Nothing is ever to much for them to do. The under 2’s team have been so helpful and given me so much confidence in leaving my child in a nursery setting
with my child being so happy and settled. Thank you to all the team for being utterly amazing! As a family, we can not thank you enough for everything that they have done and continue to do!

My daughter has been to My First Friends since she was 18 months old. Never had anything to complain about, she is always well looked after, happy and content. Her vocabulary is outstanding and she could hold a conversation by the age of 2. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for a
nursery.

My child absolutely loves nursery and all the staff - there's always a smiles going in and coming out. She's always kept clean and her speech and ability is amazing. I could never fault the nursery one bit.

My daughter absolutely loved it here, happily runs in every day and talks about what she has done and her friends when she comes home. The staff have always been amazing, the progress my daughter has made whilst being there is great. I really like the app which shows what they've been doing throughout
the day. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Children love it there.
Our little boy has had it tough as he is not used to being around other children. He was very upset when he started but the nursery has catered to his needs and he has settled in really well now.
Our daughter loves it, she hates when she has to come home and always tells
me about her day and all the friends she has made.
The staff are lovely and welcoming. Highly recommended this nursery.

My son has been going to this nursery since he was 8 months and it's now become his second home. Members of staff seem very passionate about their job, different activities are always proposed to the children to help in their development. I definitely recommend this nursery.

I am so happy that we chose to send our daughter to My First Friends nursery. It only took a couple of weeks for her to feel settled and happy and is now excited to go for her 2 days. She beams with smiles and excitement when telling us what she’s done there, from playing with the cars or dolls, to
riding on the bikes in the garden to painting and gluing. The staff have clearly made her feel very welcome and cared for which we are truly grateful for. They are also very helpful and positive towards us as parents and a delight to deal with. I especially like the real time updates we get through the app which allows me to see what she is doing while there, what she has (or hasn’t) eaten and how long she’s slept.
Overall my mind has been put at ease knowing we made the right decision and our daughter is happy and nurtured while there.

My First Friends is a wonderful nursery and pre-school. My child has attended this nursery from 10 months old and will remain here until starting school this September.


Like most working parents leaving a child at nursery can be difficult, but from day one the staff made me feel that my child would

be well looked after. Their approach was to reassure me as much as my child showing real compassion and empathy.


The facilities, activities and level of care are exceptional, and the handling of COVID-19 has been reassuring and seamless.
My child has flourished; I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

My son started at this nursery at 5 months old in the baby room, moving up through the age groups and is now in pre-school. When he first started I was nervous about losing the good routine we'd established at home but the staff took on board everything we discussed and he settled in instantly, and
nursery very quickly became like an extended family. At each point throughout his nursery journey he has established strong relationships with staff and children, and the staff have encouraged independence and confidence. They have supported his development, pushed him to achieve his best, helped to enforce good values consistent with home and supported with things like nap transitions and potty training by listening to what we were doing at home too. He absolutely loves nursery and is so excited to go every morning, and I can rest easy knowing he is so happy and content.
