My First Friends Rubery is a welcoming, purpose-built nursery located in the outskirts of Rednal, Birmingham. The nursery provides a stimulating and safe environment where children can learn and play.

With its large spaces and carefully designed rooms, My First Friends Rubery has a ‘family-feel’ that makes children feel comfortable and at home. Located close to the village, the nursery offers easy access to a range of amenities for families to enjoy. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The open-plan environment features several age-appropriate rooms, each with easy access to the outdoor garden area where children can explore and learn. The Baby room provides a warm and calming environment, where babies can develop at their own pace and explore sensory play. The Pre-School rooms offer access to ICT equipment, including an interactive whiteboard, to support all areas of learning and development.

In addition to indoor learning spaces, My First Friends Rubery has a garden area built with soft surfacing for safety, providing children with an opportunity to learn surrounded by nature. Regular visits to the village in Rednal allow children to engage their physical abilities through walking and exploring.

I think it’s the best nursery. The staff are great I would recommend any child going here. I couldn’t say one bad word about this nursery and the staff my daughter is extremely happy and has learned a lot. I’m very pleased.

My First Friends is an excellent nursery, my little girl attends now and my other child was here from the age of 1 until he started school.
The nursery offers lots of learning through play inside and out. The layout is great too, the food is excellent.


Now they have a parent app you can log on

and see everything your child has done at nursery.


Staff are great, very helpful, nothing is to much trouble.


I definitely recommend this nursery.

Fantastic nursery! My son has been going since he was just under a year, the difference in him since he started is amazing, he loves going. The staff are very approachable and friendly and the nursery has loads of activities to keep them entertained. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Both my children have attended My First Friends since they were 11 months old and I have always been very impressed by the nursery's professionalism and care, and their flexibility in accommodating my family's needs.

Since joining my first friends my son has improved substantially in his development. The range of daily activities means every day is different and enjoyable for him. The staff are very supportive with any concerns and work closely with parents to help children develop and learn new things. The app
used by the nursery means I can check up on my son throughout my day at work to see what he has been up to. All round a fantastic nursery - would recommend it to any parents.

My two-year-old and one-year-old started at My First Friends in September 2017. My experience has been nothing short of fantastic - my daughters love going to nursery and have made huge strides in their development. The staff are friendly, welcoming and more than willing to speak to me anytime about
how they are getting on. Transition between rooms has been effortless and the girls have been given settling in time before making the jump to their next stage. Feedback is constructive, detailed and allows me to have a clear understanding of how they are getting on.


When looking for a nursery for my daughters I wanted somewhere that felt warm and comfortable and My First Friends has this. I have recommended the nursery to friends already and look forward to my girls continuing their time there.

The nursery has been excellent. They are friendly and have given us loads of help and support with our son. The children are happy and the staff do loads with them and it's great they have the options to go outside whatever the season.

I would definitely recommend My First Friends Nursery (Rubery). I have a 6-year-old daughter and a 4-year-old son and both have attended the nursery from the age of 2. The children have always attended nursery with great enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoy their time there. They received a great boost with
early learning while developing healthy social skills in preparation for school. As a family, we have been extremely happy and very appreciative of the great service and high level of care we have received from the Nursery and its staff.
