Highfield Day Nursery (Birmingham)

I’m extremely happy that I chose this nursery and would recommend it highly to any other parent.

My 2-year-old daughter is very shy and having a hard time getting used to unfamiliar people and places. Every time she cries and cries frantically. In addition, she is fussy eater. I worried about whether she can handle nursery. I visited all nurseries nearby and I noticed that children at the Highfield Day Nursery were lively with their eyes shining and not one child was left alone. So I decided to send her to this nursery and it was absolutely the right decision. The staff are phenomenal and thoughtful and the setting is amazing. Fantastic garden and great environment for children. She stopped crying on the fifth day of starting nursery and joined in with the activities with the other children. She even ate some wraps! It took just 5 days. This nursery changed not only my daughter but also myself. It is a huge relief that I know my daughter is in real professional people's hands.

Both my children have been at Highfield from Caterpillar room through to preschool. I have been extremely happy with the quality of care provided. Staff are excellent; friendly, caring and professional. The management team are always accommodating where possible (eg. extra sessions). The learning opportunities here are great - focussing on a broad range of areas and striving to be inclusive of all faiths and cultures. Both of my children have left Highfield well prepared for the future! Thank you all.

Highfield has provided my children with a happy balance in terms of education and personal development. The team has equipped my children beautifully as they embark on school. Educationally, both children’s teachers have commented on how far ahead of the game they are compared to their peers. From a personal development perspective, both children have had wonderful opportunities, they have made friends (some of which I truly believe will be friends for life) and Highfield has helped turn them into well rounded little people, helping to teach them values, kindness and forgiveness.

The staff are superb; no concern is too small and that goes for the parents’ concerns and angsts as much as those of the children. Their willingness to always go the extra mile has meant I have never had any doubt about Highfield and its care.

The nursery is extremely good. My daughter is very happy, loves going to nursery every day and she is learning a lot. The staff are excellent, especially the teachers at bumblebees. The food is also great, my daughter is enjoying it. Overall, the nursery is excellent value for money and I would recommend it.

I'm so pleased I found Highfield! My little boy has had some ups and downs health-wise and all the staff have been absolutely wonderful, so accommodating! He's now settled back in after some months off and I have nothing but praise for how the staff and management have handled this situation. He loves being at nursery, he loves the garden and I enjoy the little updates on the app. Staff always give a comprehensive handover and are happy to answer any questions or discuss any issues and they're open to trying things differently if they're not working. We're very happy with Highfield!

The parent app is great to see the observations and activities that my son has been doing. He has a great bond with his key worker. My son enjoys attending his nursery! As parents, we would recommend Highfield’s Birmingham to friends and family!

Parking is an issue sometimes, especially around 5pm. Other than that, it's really good.

Both my children have learnt lots of new skills by coming here including reading, writing and counting.

My son has settled into nursery really well with the help of all the staff in caterpillars. He has become so much more independent in the short time he has been attending. We are very pleased so far.

I am very pleased with the high level of care given to my daughter. She settled in very well and the support given with potty training has been amazing.

Staff are approachable. The environment is homelike. Thank you for all your help and support.

Our son only has five more months left at nursery/preschool and will be sorry to leave the nursery and all the staff we have got to know over the years. But he is now well equipped for and looking forward to school.

My daughter is so happy at Highfield. She has made so many little friends and she thoroughly enjoys all of the activities. The staff care for her as if she was their own.

Brilliant nursery. My daughter just started school and having attended her first parents evening, we had amazing feedback. All thanks to Highfield, she is able to write her full name independently, count her numbers and write up to 30 and her alphabet.

A wonderful nursery that our daughter loved attending. The staff are super friendly, professional and instil peace of mind in us parents!
