Highfield Day Nursery is set in a converted property that is staffed by a highly trained team of childcare professionals. Children's individual interests are nurtured and promoted with child-led play being a key feature of Highfield's philosophy.

A flexible interior supports a great deal of age-specific learning, with four playrooms in total, messy playrooms, sensory rooms, an art room and also a sleeping area for babies.

An enclosed garden offers year-round, all-weather activities which help to promote children's social, emotional and physical development.

They also offer the extracurricular activity of Mini Athletics alternate Monday and Friday mornings from 10am for the Bumblebees and Preschool rooms.

*7am start is available at an additional cost. Standard opening time is 7.30am.

The staff are really caring and nurturing. Both my children love this nursery. The different rooms available for each age group and the garden area are huge assets. When I first visited Highfield Nursery I knew instantly that it was the right fit for my 1-year-old daughter. They cater for all of the child’s needs, your child’s interests are sought out and implemented into the curriculum they have. The indoor and outdoor space is the perfect setting for little ones.
I know most mums have fears about leaving their child in another person's care and rightly so feel upset when they leave their child at nursery however as much as I didn’t want to spend time apart from my daughter I knew she was in good hands and so I didn’t feel the usual way that I guess most parents do with that fear of how she will be, I felt so confident with the staff and we haven’t had any issues, just praise as my daughter loves the staff and children there.

My daughter has been attending the nursery 4 days a week over the past few months and her social and language skills have been transformed! She is excited about going in, proud to get out of the car at her 'school' and clearly has a superb rapport with the staff. She has recently 'graduated' to preschool
and the transition has been handled superbly, with a smooth move to another room and group of children. This is a wonderful, amazing setting and I cannot come up with strong enough superlatives.

Having previously had one child attend Highfield, there was no question as to where I would send my second, it was also lovely to see several familiar faces still there. Staff are very attentive and well mannered, happy to help wherever possible. I can see my child developing and is very happy (despite
the odd tears at drop off). I also think staff handled the Covid situation very well in difficult circumstances and there is a very good level of communication saying what each room is focusing on in the week and useful links. Overall very happy, and each staff member is a credit to Highfield.

We were recommended by a friend. When I pick him up he talks about how much he played and how much fun he had with his friends and the teachers. The staff are kind, friendly and helpful. We get updates on what he is doing and what he is eating. I would recommend Highfield Day Nursery (Birmingham).

Highly recommended nursery! My son started attending Highfield nursery at 8 months. He had mostly spent time at home with me and dad before this being born in lockdown and hence needed constant reassurance from us. However, we've seen a significant improvement in his social interactions in just 3 months.
He's eating really well, is a lot more independent and is happy to explore on his own. He's such a happy baby at home. I think he genuinely looks forward to going to nursery now and is really well settled!

My son attended Highfield preschool for two years and we are very happy with the way he has been cared for all throughout till he started school this September. It's amazing how the staff worked with parents together to do the best for our son and how they managed everything during the pandemic giving
me reassurance and how they kept their word all throughout by keeping our son safe as a kid with an underlying health condition. The preschool team lead is the best as she was very kind as per my son's own words. The whole preschool team were perfect together led by a very strong resilient nursery management team not forgetting the kitchen staff who made delicious meals for the kids! Kudos to team Highfield!

The nursery has been amazing throughout the past six years. Both our children have been here and my daughter is leaving to start school. The management and staff have always been happy to help. Nothing is ever too much to ask and they always make time to talk to you. They encourage parents to be a part
of the experience and I know I can share what my children have been doing or are interested in, and their key workers will make sure that's incorporated into their learning and activities. The staff know their personalities, play to their strengths and encourage them to try new things. The outdoor space and emphasis on creative play is wonderful. I have to say they've been exceptional during Covid restrictions, they've kept us involved every step of the way and helped us navigate our way as parents in such a difficult time. I am really sad to say goodbye to Highfield as it's been a special place for our children. Thank you, Highfield.

We have been really happy with Highfield Day Nursery (Birmingham) since the first day we went there. My daughter started 2 years ago and it was exactly what we were looking for. She had great progress within 3 months and developed so much in many areas that we were really surprised. The staff is very

The Highfield has been nothing but amazing from my daughter's very early age all the way through to preschool. She has learned so much from all the wonderful key workers and gained so much confidence. I cannot thank the staff enough for being so wonderful and playing such an important part in my daughter's
life and to the manager and staff for always being helpful when I’ve needed them.
We will be so sad to leave you all as my daughter really has loved you all so so much. Thank you so much for being a fab nursery.

As soon as we stepped foot in the nursery for the first time over a year ago now we knew this is where we wanted our son to be. The building and especially the garden are lovely and very well kept. The staff are friendly and professional who are very caring and supportive. They create individualised
development plans that encourage our son to learn. Whilst he has been with the nursery he has developed a lot of new skills, his speech has improved and he has learnt how to share, make friends and play. The nursery offers a wide range of support and resources for parents too and the communication is excellent. The meal plans are great and the menu is changed regularly.
As parents we both highly recommend this nursery, we have recently moved house which has meant a move from the area but we choose to commute to keep our son here as the place really is amazing. We know our son is in good hands, we both work in education so we know for sure he is!

Our son has attended this nursery since he was eight months old on a part time basis. We were recommended by friends whose children had also attended here around ten years ago. We were personally impressed with location, infra structures, arrangement of outdoors, staff turnover and finally the menu
diversity. Our wishes in terms of, for example nap duration and diet adjustments have always been listened to and the nursery tries their best to accommodate extra days if we require so. We have noticed how well our son has developed and we are happy to be guided and work with the curriculum they present.

Finding the right nursery has been a challenge for us. Our experience at Highfield Day Nursery (Birmingham) has been amazing. The nursery has helped our son settle in very quickly. The staff are professional in their approach and have largely tailored support to our needs. Our son has come on leaps
and bounds since joining the nursery last year. Regular feedback on his progress has been instrumental in helping us understand his development. The variety of indoor and outdoor activities has helped him develop further confidence. We have been so happy with our sons experience at Highfield Day Nursery (Birmingham) so far. He only started recently and I was a little apprehensive as we only saw inside the nursery once, well over a year ago but we couldn't be happier with how things are going. He is very content to go off with the
staff members and comes home tired and happy after a busy day full of fun. The staff are kind, friendly and helpful, he seems to really enjoy all of the food and his day is always varied and exciting. We get updates of what he is doing on the app which is lovely and reassuring. Despite not being able to go into the nursery at the minute, we feel very confident in the people looking after our son and are very happy to have chosen Highfield Day Nursery (Birmingham).

What an amazing nursery and preschool. On recommendation of friends, my daughter has been at Highfield Day Nursery (Birmingham) for over three years and the contribution that the staff have made to her development over this period of time has been excellent. She undertakes a wide variety of activities
and experiences with different physical locations during the day. They have a large garden, offering space to explore and run around. Many of the staff have worked at Highfield Day Nursery (Birmingham) for a long period of time, so this contributes to the home from home feeling which is so important for us. Communication is clear and frequent, management respond quickly and informatively to questions and queries. The food is all prepared on site to a high standard. In fact, I put my daughters enjoyment of different foods down to the wide variety she experiences at Highfield Day Nursery (Birmingham). I would absolutely recommend Highfield Day Nursery (Birmingham).

My daughter has been attending since October 2019 and the nursery has been amazing through all three stages. Lockdown has been tough, however, the nursery have done their best to normalize the current situation.
The manager has been so supportive with any queries or questions we have and the staff
are all lovely. They send photographs/comments of her activities and what she has eaten.
It is a very good nursery and I would definitely recommend it.

Our son started attending Highfield in January last year. He needed a really slow transition to get used to not being at home with me all the time and the staff and leadership team were fantastic in following his lead and patiently managing his (and my) anxiety about the change.
He stopped going
over lockdown but when he started back in May they were again so welcoming and supportive as he settled back in. The staff have all taken time to get to know my son and he loves the time he spends at nursery.
I am impressed with the high quality of activities, assessment, care and organisation of the nursery. Their management throughout Covid has also been excellent and they have kept parents informed of changes to procedure all the way through.
We were recommended Highfield by friends whose children attended there. It was a perfect recommendation and we would definitely recommend to others.

Natalie is the manager of Highfield Day Nursery in Birmingham and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for over 25 years. She has numerous qualifications, including an NVQ 2 and 3 in Childcare, and has undertaken an NVQ in Management since being with Childbase Partnership. In September 2020, Natalie celebrated her 20 years of service at the company.
