Mama Bear's Day Nursery & Pre-School (Plymouth)

5* Nursery! Upon viewing the Nursery I instantly felt a warmth and comfort and was sold within minutes of entering the building. The practitioners are all amazing, professional and offer so much support and reassurance to both parents and children. My son absolutely adores the staff and doesn’t stop talking about his day when he comes home. I’m also really impressed with their app which allows you to follow your child’s day, they upload key information including food/naps/toileting, snippets of your child’s day and feedback on their progress and learning. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Honestly, a Big well done to the manager and her fantastic team!

My daughter has been going to Mama Bear's - Springhill Green for nearly 2 years. I’m honestly blown away by how amazing it is there. From managerial staff to the ladies in every room. My daughter is thriving and I couldn’t be happier. It’s a joy for my husband to drop her off as she runs in calling for her friends and workers and a joy for me to pick up as she tells me about all of the different things she’s done that day.

A wonderful nursery and I always recommend it to all family and friends. My child is very shy and can be very clingy with me however everyone at Mama Bear's Day Nursery has been so wonderful in making her feel safe. She now loves the nursery thanks to the wonderful and patient staff

Both my children have attended the nursery. I have never had any concerns. The staff are all very capable and they have been there a long time which is great in terms of consistency for the kids. Meals and snacks provided are good and they always have new and exciting activities to do. The nursery has always tried to be flexible and accommodating with requests. Highly recommend!

My daughter loves this nursery so much, all the staff are so warm and understanding and always accommodating to my child’s needs/wishes. I feel at ease leaving my daughter there even though she did not settle to start with. I honestly can’t big up this nursery enough they have dealt with small issues and worries I have had as a parent and the level of education my child is receiving here is amazing!

Our son loves his days at nursery. He always eats well (although it's very carb heavy) and they listen to his needs for food/milk/nappy cream etc. Great communication as we can collect him from his room and talk to the staff caring for him that day, plus using the app helps us see photos and updates during his sessions. He always comes out smiling. All the staff are happy friendly and lovely, even the ladies on reception helping us when needed. We love flexi booking to suit our needs. Our only niggle is how hard it can be to park around this area. Oh and babies sharing germs as he has been so ill since being around so many others (not Mama Bear's fault). We definitely recommend this nursery.

We are happy with Mama Bear's Day Nursery, the staff is always happy to help you with what you need and everyday keeps us informed about the activities from the nursery, overall I'm very pleased with them.

I’m really impressed with Mama Bear's, I went to view a lot of nurseries and it was an easy decision for me. My daughter has been going for a year and a couple of months now and is so happy here, she has really come out of her shell! The staff are friendly and professional, you can tell they really care about the children in their care which is so lovely and gives me peace of mind that I know she’s being well looked after. I also love seeing pictures of what my daughter has been up to on the app too!

Two of my daughters started here from September 2022 and since being here they are very happy, the staff are very friendly and professional always happy to help in whatever way they can. My daughters always come out positive and smiling and the way they interact with the children is phenomenal, would not consider putting my girls anywhere else, they are thriving thanks to this nursery.

The most lovely nursery, my daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 9 months old she is now part of the preschool room. They have great facilities including a lovely big outdoor space. The nursery always participates in fundraising days, a Christmas show and other fun days. The staff are so inviting and friendly and look after the children like they are their own. The nursery are always doing fun activities with the children and the app is fantastic at seeing updates on what they have eaten and done throughout the day. We will miss this nursery when my daughter goes to school later this year and we are so thankful for all they have done through the years.

Appreciate the communication the staff offer and the flexibility around the individual children. It is unfortunate that my boy has been poorly nonstop since he started, picking up everything but the staff are brilliant in keeping me informed on how he is doing etc. He is also sensitive to dairy so they have put him on a dairy-free diet with no hesitation. It’s greatly appreciated.

My daughter has been welcomed and loved while attending this nursery. She loves to go and is always happy when collected. Her social skills and speech have developed substantially since arriving at the nursery 6 months ago. I always feel confident that she is getting the best care possible.

I can not thank Mama Bear's staff for taking my son on when needed. Everyone at Mama Bear's are amazing, caring and understanding. My son has made loads of friends and has learnt a lot. I can not fault Mama Bear's staff at all. I am so grateful and blessed at how amazing Mama Bear's nursery is. I just wish he could stay on when he's ready to go to primary.

The genuine love and care they have for my little girl from the kitchen team to the reception team is exceptional.

They are all so approachable and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for any of them, they go above and beyond to make my daughter feel safe and secure. I feel completely confident in taking my daughter there knowing she will taken care of so well.

My daughter amazes me every time she comes home with how much she learns every day and can't wait to go back the next day.

A very well run nursey, I would hugely recommend to everyone, I'll be so sad when my daughter leaves to go primary school.

Very kind and caring and love the children. My little boy loves it! He has a brilliant variety of activities. He eats well because of the variety of food he eats at nursery. They are open and honest with communication and try their best to fit children in for additional days.

Mama Bear's Springhill Green is amazing because of its staff - it’s the reason we chose the nursery for our son. They are warm, friendly and have a real passion for what they do. My son has always struggled to be away from me and his dad but they have helped him so much by being so warm and inviting. The deputy manager, in particular, is incredible, always willing to chat things through and we have 100% trust in her and all the staff to look after our son. I would highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter started a few months ago after not seeing anybody else for a long period of time due to COVID 19 restrictions. Yes, she took a while to settle in, as expected, but if it wasn’t down to the cheery voice on the phone always putting my mind at rest, staff accepting my phone calls every time I rung (and I rung a lot) and the manager being so accommodating when I had to change days - the process would of taken longer. Now, my daughter is thriving and has become so confident and happy. I love receiving photos every time she is in, a great service to parents who have the guilt of being at work. Knowing my daughter is happy and doing well is just amazing! All the staff at Mama Bear's are a credit to themselves and the business! Thanks guys!

My son absolutely loves it at Mama Bear's and has never had any issues, always doing such fun activities and his speech has improved massively since joining. Extremely friendly staff and a nice clean environment with great outdoor space.

My son has been attending Mama Bears since he was 8 months old. I am so glad I chose Mama Bears, I never worry when he is there as I know how much fun he has and how well cared for he is. The staff are brilliant, so friendly and nurturing - even providing advice or a listening ear on issues outside of nursery (e.g sleep). My son is given the opportunity to try lots of different activities, have fun and try new foods. I love the app which the nursery use to send updates - photos, videos and info on meals, nappies etc. The Manager is extremely friendly, helpful and easy to deal with via phone, email or in person. It is also one of a few nurseries that provide flexible options for attendance, which really suits our working patterns. I would wholeheartedly recommend Mama Bears to anyone looking for top-quality childcare with a homely, family feel.

During this difficult time with the covid restrictions, my granddaughter, who is an only child, was beginning to suffer not being able to play with other children. This was the reason we stayed looking for a day nursery that were accepting children. Everyone at the nursery made my grandaughter feel very welcome, they are always available to talk to if you have a problem or questions and having the ability to see what she is doing and we can see her smiling via the app is a wonderful thing. Even though we still sometimes have a few tears at drop off, I know that this only lasts a few moments and she is happy to play, socialise, learn and develop in a wonderful, stimulating, exciting and caring environment.

Can't wait until I get to see inside the nursery though and hope this happens soon as it will be great to see what she sees .
