Mama Bear's Day Nursery & Pre-School (Plymouth)

Our son has been in the care of Mama Bear's, Springhill Green from 8 months up until he leaves for Primary school in September this year. He has transitioned through every room and the staff have experienced every milestone with us from weaning to walking, potty training to enabling his Speech and Language Therapist to work with him in their setting and cheering on his improved speech ready for his next adventure. They have been B, and our, extended family for four years and we will miss them so much when he moves to his school placement in September. I would recommend Mama Bear's every time to take care of your little ones.

My little girl has been at Mama Bear's now for about four months. I was very anxious about her going to nursery, only being 10 months old and a lockdown baby and I honestly couldn’t have chosen better. The staff do an amazing job, so helpful and friendly, it puts me right at ease. I would recommend Mama Bear's to anyone. Thank you.

Both of my girls have attended Mama Bear's at Springhill Green and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. My youngest started at the age of 8 months and has loved every day. She has built lovely bonds with the staff who seem to genuinely delight in their relationships with the children and they really take the time to get to know them well and adapt to their individual needs/likes/dislikes. The staff are always cheerful and helpful and clearly take their roles very seriously and are always professional. The manager is ever knowledgeable and helpful. I really rate this nursery and think it has given both of my children the best start in life.

Our son has been at the nursery now for nearly 2 years and he thoroughly enjoys his time there; interacting with the staff and his friends there. The fact that they do flexible booking helps us so much through my shift work as it allows us to book the dates we need a month in advance with ease. This not only helps the finances but it gives us the extra flexibility. The nursery gives him the opportunity to play indoors and outside; and I cannot recall him not having a nice day at the nursery. The staff are great and have coped so well during the pandemic; they have managed to adapt and continue working through all of this and they have done so whilst being able to keep everyone safe and secure. The manager is approachable and will help out wherever possible if there are any issues or requests. I would recommend this nursery to any of my friends or family.

My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting this nursery. The parent app provides a thorough breakdown of all meals, nappy changes and activities done whilst being at the nursery. It eases my worries whilst I’m away from her. All the staff are very friendly and always have a positive attitude. The receptionist is always helpful when you have a query and the head office are great when you need to discuss fees. Overall, I would recommend this nursery to anyone. Both of my children have attended and I am extremely happy with the service.

I would highly recommend Mama Bear's. They provide outstanding care to my child. My child comes home happy excited and tired every day he attends and asks every day if he has nursery again tomorrow. The staff are always polite and friendly. The security of the nursery is outstanding from CCTV and locked doors to security questions for someone else to pick your child up for you. Even phone call after 5 minutes if you have arranged someone else to pick your child up and haven’t informed them yourself. You always leave feeling your child is safe. I could not of chosen a better nursery to look after my child and help him develop his learning skills.

This nursery is extremely welcoming, inviting and very friendly. Both of my children have attended this nursery and have absolutely loved every second. They have developed very strong bonds with the staff at the nursery and never seem to want to go home. Very pleased and feel safe when my children attend.

My son has been attending the setting since he was 9 months and is leaving to go to school in September. The nursery have been outstanding in all matters from continuing the impeccable standard throughout lockdown to always going above and beyond in ensuring you know how your child is doing, whilst attending the setting. I cannot fault the team and am incredibly grateful for all the support and care they have shown my son and us whilst he has been attending. We are due our 2nd child in July so without a doubt, they will also be attending the nursery.

I feel a lot less mum guilt knowing she loves it at Mama Bear's and is thriving in the environment.

My daughter attends this nursery and absolutely loves it. With it being the first time spending time away from me I thought my daughter would have been upset/nervous but with the settling in sessions she settled in so well and I felt at ease. The app also keeps me up to date with my daughter's day which makes me feel reassured. It’s a great nursery and I couldn’t have chosen a better place for my daughter!

As a family, we have been using Mama Bears for 10 years with our 4 children, all of which have thrived and thoroughly enjoyed their time here. The staff are amazing with such kind, caring, friendly and very approachable natures. I would definitely recommend Mama Bears to anyone looking for a nursery setting.

Both my children went/go to mamas bears at Springhill and I couldn’t rate it enough. All staff are amazing and the kids love it there! One of my children is autistic and the amount of support they give our family is so lovely!

This nursery is amazing and the staff as well. My daughter is loving it there and I really appreciate having the app, where I can see when her nappy has been changed, when she slept and what she ate in real time. I love receiving pictures of her during the day, those are the best notifications! The flexibility is great and I'm glad I've made the change of nursery to go here.

My daughter loves going to nursery here. The staff are so lovely and welcoming, showing genuine warmth towards her every single day. We love regularly seeing what she gets up to via ParentZone. The manager is always extremely happy to help.

My son clearly loves attending. He runs in with a smile and comes out with an even bigger one. He is observed and given appropriate next steps and activities. He has grown in confidence and his learning abilities whilst at Mama Bears.

Having finished the ’journey’ with one child and the second child continuing to attend Mama Bears, they have simply been fantastic. Patient, flexible with my ever-changing shift patterns at work. They address all my concerns with great empathy and reassure with ease. My children have gained wondered relationships with the staff in the different rooms to go into and I can hand on heart say they have helped shape and mould a well-adjusted young man that was ready for school when the time came. I was upset about my child leaving this facility than him going to school. Keep up the amazing work.

Our little girl has been going to Mama Bear's in Springhill Gardens since she was 10 months old. She has enjoyed every room she has been in from the baby room through to preschool, her development came on quickly and has never stopped. Each room is packed with toys and games for the development of that age group. The practitioners are very engaging and always fill you in with the day's activities. The garden and amount of time spent outside is really good, with lots of equipment and activities to keep little brains alert and focused. All of the staff have been extremely friendly and helpful through the years, she absolutely loves attending preschool and it will be sad in a couple of months when she leaves to go to school. Every keyworker and member of staff has been fantastic. I can't recommend Mama Bear's in Springhill enough.

Fabulous nursery. Have always felt very happy leaving my children here. Clean, safe environment. Enthusiastic staff with happy, family values. Worked great being flexible around my shift work. Would highly recommend Mama Bear's.

Amazing nursery. I can’t thank all the staff enough for what they did for my little girl. She never settled at nursery until she came here and we were truly overwhelmed with how amazing the staff were. We will be putting our youngest into Mama Bear's when the time comes.
