Kiddi Caru Day Nursery and Preschool in Torquay is a spacious, purpose-built setting rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (July 2024). Located near the Willows Retail Park, the nursery provides easy access, on-site parking, and a calm, nurturing environment.

With dedicated playrooms, private gardens, and a well-loved yurt used for yoga and music sessions, the setting supports learning through play. Lovely outside space, very careful with safety. Lovely members of staff. The best nursery in the area for sure. Both children have attended here and have learned so much and been cared for well. Two staff members were amazing room leaders, we loved them so much.

My son absolutely loves his nursery days. He has made an amazing bond with a staff member and is really happy when there. The nursery has been fantastic with my child's allergies and ensuring he doesn't get any of the foods he is allergic to. They give me updates, when trying to reintroduce foods at
home if there have been any changes with him at nursery. They do a great range of activities that he really enjoys. Can't fault the nursery at all.

Fantastic staff, always clean, my child comes home extremely happy and content plus he eats everything they give him (he’s usually a very fussy eater)! He’s recognising words, letters and numbers, his speech has improved immensely! Makes all the difference knowing how lovely and caring the staff are!

Overall satisfactory. There were a few instances where the class was shut due to staffing issues. Lack of visibility of key workers and sometimes unresponsive. Often had people bringing him over who had not been with my son, so we didn’t have any insight into what he had been doing each day. We have
moved to another nursery where my child already seems much happier.

I am just delighted my husband and I chose Kiddi Caru Torquay. My daughter was 6 months old when she enrolled, being so young it seemed like a really difficult and important decision to get right. With Kiddi Caru Torquay, I do not feel the fit could have been better. The team have really gone out of
their way to get to know my little girl and to encourage her development, whilst nurturing her outgoing personality; it is just wonderful to see. The team made sure she attended lots of settle in days before she enrolled full-time, she was comfortable and happy from outset. She always greets the nursery practitioners in sandcastles with big smiles, which is so reassuring. In addition, in the few weeks she has been attending, I can also see her coordination and communication skills are developing really well. As a parent I love the regular updates provided in the written daily reports and on the parent app; for me this beautifully bridges the gap between Mother and Daughter whilst I am working.

My son enjoyed his last month at Kiddi Caru Torquay before starting his next journey in reception at his big school. He absolutely loved the class he was in and the staff were amazing, especially one member in particular. (Massive credit to the team) he came out of his shell so much, so thank you. Would
definitely recommend and will be using again soon with our second son.

My child was always happy at the nursery. Loved the activities. I trusted the staff to care for my child and inform me when/if needed. The staff are friendly and positive. Happy with the selection on the menu.

My son has been going to Kiddi Caru Day Nursery for 6 months now. He enjoys going because of the staff one, in particular, from Sandcastles. I love the bond she has with my son. I would like to thank her for being absolutely brilliant with him, couldn’t of asked for anyone better to look after him.

Like the parent app update - would be nice to get more handmade crafts from the children - my friend's children make lots of hand/footprint cards etc at Patrick’s day/Easter etc but we only get them every now and again and I always treasure them as they capture memories for me.

Very friendly staff and lovely premises.
My daughter loves her dedicated staff in her room and talks very highly of them.
She has recently had to have a change of diet and medication and it was all handled very professionally.

Everyone there is really helpful and we both feel really comfortable with the nursery as a whole. Both of our children go there and we looked around several nurseries before choosing Kiddi Caru and have been nothing but impressed with everything.

Without a doubt the best nursery in the area. My little boy has come along so much and always has the best days there. I am so glad I chose for him to go to Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Torquay. He has been in seagulls and is now in seashells, and both are amazing. He has grown an amazing bond with the girls.

Our daughter loves the nursery and especially the staff. Two members of staff, in particular, are absolutely amazing ladies. The facilities and the ease of drop off and pick up are also very good. However, we strongly disagree with the company policy of charging for bank holidays when the child cannot
attend as you are not open. By issuing a monthly invoice to be agreed upon and then sending a reminder about the bank holidays a few days after the invoice had been issued and paid.

My experience with Kiddi Caru has always been met with professional and friendly staff.
The facilities for the children is a safe environment and also fun. learning is catered for each child and I'm so glad my child got to go here. I will miss the Kiddi Caru family when we start mainstream school.

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery. The staff are fantastic and I feel happy leaving her there knowing she is in safe hands. I was worried that growing up in lockdown would have an adverse effect on her but hearing how confident and happy she is at nursery is great to know.

Our little boy has been attending Kiddi Caru Torquay for almost a year now. We have been overwhelmed with his development in that short period of time and very much attribute a large part of this down to the wonderful team and programme provided at Kiddi Caru.

The girls are so so lovely in this nursery! My daughter absolutely adores one inparticular! It makes me feel really good that I can leave her and she's being looked after so well! She even comes home clean, not covered in paint etc. She absolutely loves the food you have there, she's super fussy at
home, I cook her the same sort of meals you do and she won't eat much of it. Your outdoor space is amazing! Which I know she will love as she loves being outside. I wish I could afford to put her in more days as she loves it so much. Thanks for being so awesome!

In general, the whole nursery and team are fabulous. My daughter has grown and is developing and learning every day. She's been very lucky with every team in each class she's been in. They are all fantastic.
