Kiddi Caru Day Nursery and Preschool in Torquay is a spacious, purpose-built setting rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (July 2024). Located near the Willows Retail Park, the nursery provides easy access, on-site parking, and a calm, nurturing environment.

With dedicated playrooms, private gardens, and a well-loved yurt used for yoga and music sessions, the setting supports learning through play. Their sensory room, three garden allotments, and a curriculum inspired by the Curiosity Approach help children develop confidence, creativity, and independence.

Educational programmes such as Sow & Grow, Make & Bake, and Boogie Mites are part of the daily routine. I am extremely happy with the nursery and all the staff who have been involved in my child's care. Staff are very friendly and my daughter is always talking about the staff at nursery and is always super excited to go.
Most recently the nursery have introduced my daughter to help in the baby room,
helping to feed them and play with them. This was all leading up to us having a second child and I thought this was a really lovely thing to do to help prepare her for a new little sisters arrival.

The ladies working in Pebbles are warm and welcoming and I felt very confident leaving my daughter with them even though there were a few tears. The staff were reassuring and kept me updated about how she settled throughout the days that followed.
I love that they have such a large outside area at
the nursery and the nursery pets are a lovely touch. The rooms are very well equipped, look well kept and clean. The menus are very good too with a wide range of healthy foods.
They are very thorough with security and very professional all around. I would recommend the nursery to my friends and family without hesitation.

Kiddi Caru has been great for our little girl. She gets on really well with the staff. She really enjoys her time there and has definitely progressed in terms of her learning, i.e. feeding herself. Would definitely recommend.

Very happy with the nursery and its staff. My son enjoys going and clearly learns valuable development there.
My only wish was that there was holiday allowance and more flexibility if needed in unforeseen circumstances.

My son has attended Kiddi Caru Nursery for the past 7 months. He has taken a while to settle however the team in Seashells made sure my son was comforted and did what they could to distract him. Since my son has been at the nursery his vocabulary has come on amazingly and he is so sociable with other
children now. My son loves to be outdoors so having the big outside area at the nursery was a massive bonus. With the classes they have a timetable so the children are in a routine, I think this is brilliant. The food provided is very good also and has helped my son try new tastes as can be a fussy eater. I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

My son has attended the Torquay branch of Kiddi Caru since early 2016. He has progressed and developed in two different rooms and every single week he is increasing his skills, interaction and even his eating habits! All of the staff are extremely approachable, caring and understanding of each child's
needs and wishes. The garden is especially outstanding with so much for the children of all ages to explore and activities for them to do. Would always recommend Kiddi Caru and it has restored my faith back into nurseries.

Brilliant nursery, lovely staff and very professional. I have sent both my son's to Kiddi Caru and both have loved it there.
My only criticism it that the nursery doesn't do free or discounted days if the child is away and with plenty of notice (other nursery's do). I understand it shouldn't be the
case on short notice.
Neither does the nursery do day swaps-again with notice, I do not see a reason that I can't swap a day for another day even if there is space. Things like this would help out now and again.

We have used Kiddi Caru for 8 years and found them always helpful and kind. The children have a great day and are well educated and supported in their early year's development. Two of our children have transitioned into school without any problems, following their start in Kiddi Caru and our third
child will be reluctantly leaving this year to start pre-school. We have recommended Torquay Kiddi Caru to several friends and family.

We have used Kiddi Caru Torquay for 5 years. All of our children have loved it. Our youngest child started a few months ago and has been happy since his first day. We are confident leaving him in the care of the wonderful staff and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery to other parents.

Kiddi Caru is an amazing nursery - my boy loves it and the staff helped him settle in to relieve me feeling upset when dropping him off. Their comments in my son's diary are detailed and I love reading what he has been up to and what he loved most; I can then try these activities at home.


They send

out a regular news letter with events, for parents to attend and helps keep us involved, even outside of nursery hours.


The facilities at the nursery are excellent and I love that they have their own animals.


Overall and amazing, friendly and sought after nursery - thank you to all the staff.

I highly recommend Kiddi Caru Nursery. We have been very happy with all the services and support that Kiddi Caru has offered. My daughter has been very happy and her progress has come along so well from being at Kiddi Caru. I don't have one bad thing to say about the nursery and I'd be more than happy
to send any of my future children to Kiddi Caru.
