Rainbow Day Nursery & Pre-School provides an exceptional environment and a wonderful quality of care and development for babies and young children from three months up to five years of age. It is their aim to ensure that children 'graduate' to Big School having grown into confident, caring, independent people who are prepared in every way for the next stage of life's learning journey.

Rainbow children enjoy five acres of gardens including nine well-equipped, enclosed, all-weather playgrounds, their own animal sanctuary, galleon, Teletubby hill, allotments, and a children's maze. They also have a double-decker bus, a farm classroom and Forest School sessions are run everyday whatever the weather.

A highly qualified team of staff draw upon a huge range of knowledge, experience and resources to ensure that the children get the maximum learning and development out of enjoying themselves, playing and having fun.

My son has special needs, and Rainbow have come alongside him with the right amount of support and care. All the staff seem to know his name, even if they do not work in his room. I'm always impressed!

Rainbow Day Nursery & Pre-School have provided both my son and daughter with a fun learning environment, all staff know my children well and both children are happy going into nursery each morning and have lots to tell me upon collection. Forming good bonds with key workers. The children have access
to indoor and outdoor activities every day and are encouraged to eat a well balanced and healthy breakfast snack and lunch. Very happy parents and children thank you.

Very pleased with the nursery. Our first boy enjoyed his time at Rainbow and the little seems so happy to go in every day.
The staff are really good and the outdoor space is amazing for the children.

My son has been attending Rainbow Day Nursery & Pre-School for 3 months and he has come along in leaps and bounds. He is so confident, he’s made a friend and absolutely loves going to nursery.
Me and my husband are so happy with the nursery and the staff. We have weekly updates on what the room is
doing for the next week.
All the staff are helpful and friendly.
All food is cooked fresh on site my son has a dairy intolerance which is no issue as they have alternative menus planned that consist of meals and not just sandwiches.
I would recommend this nursery to all parents.

My son has been at Rainbow Day Nursery & Pre-School since he was 9 months old. he is now an independent, polite, intelligent and happy 3-year-old which is hugely down to his time at Rainbow Day Nursery & Pre-School where he has been so well nurtured. At every stage and with every key worker we have
been so happy we dread the move up to the next room, only to be just as happy with the next! The outdoor space and farm is like no other nursery in the area. We love rainbow so much it’s made finding and choosing a school we love as much extremely difficult!!

Every day our son comes home with another string to his bow. The carers do an excellent job of making learning fun. The nursery itself has fantastic facilities. The outside space is amazing with a maze, a small farm, and lots of fun outside areas. We can't speak more highly about the staff. Every
one of them seems to know every child by name (no mean feat!) and they are all without exception lovely, caring people.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. After my now six year old came here, it was a no-brainer that my other little daughter was coming too. The girls in bluebells have been totally amazing with her, she loves coming in and enjoys her day. She sleeps well and eats even better.
On to tulips we go.

Very dear Rainbow,


My wife and I can only give 100% positive and absolute praise for your nursery. Everything was managed brilliantly during our son’s year there. Above all, the nursery staff all seemed to genuinely care for our special little boy. He was always happy at the end of the day, full

of energy and joy, having caused chaos at the farm and being a normal happy little boy making as much mess as possible! We were really sad that we had to leave Rainbow - some very happy memories were made there. Can’t praise all aspects highly enough. Ofsted are inaccurate not to give it an outstanding (exemplary, if that rating exists) rating!

Our son was at Rainbow Nursery from 10 months until he left for school at 4 (in September 2018). Overall our experience of the nursery has been brilliant. The facilities are unparalleled (we haven't seen another nursery with such great outdoor space) - don't underestimate how quickly the children grow
from being non-walkers to being runners: the space outside is wonderful for them as they grow. The staff have generally been excellent, particularly the room leaders. The communication with parents is good, and the preparation for 'big school' was superb. We appreciated the provision of nappies, sun cream, snacks, etc; the meals were balanced and healthy and there are so many positive behaviours and pieces of information that our son learnt that must have come from the nursery. The flexibility for us as working parents was also much appreciated: particularly with early and late rooms; emergency bookings and even management of illness - a pragmatic and helpful approach was always taken.

Our son went to Rainbow for about a year and a half and it was the best childcare decision we made.


The facilities are just fabulous, they have everything a child may want. The staff are really committed and you can see the kids are happy.
Our boy started Reception, and we were pleasantly surprised

how well prepared academically he was after Rainbow. His reading, phonics and maths skills put him ahead of many other children (according to his teachers), and we appreciate the role the nursery played in his learning and development. As working parents, we had to rely on childcare providers to prepare our little boy for school and we're very grateful to the amazing staff at Rainbow for helping our boy and helping us.
The staff also taught our son the vital social skills, ie the rights and wrongs of interacting with other children and adults, and this has helped him settle at school quickly.


Overall, we are very pleased with our son's time at Rainbow. Thank you!

Rainbow is a wonderful place for children. The facilities and carers are chosen to support the development of infants and toddlers. I would highly recommend Rainbow Nursery to everybody and can confirm that my newborn will attend Rainbow when I end maternity leave.

Thank you again to all staff at Rainbow Day Nursery & Pre-School. Our daughter has recently left and transitioned extremely well into reception year at school. She already seems to know her phonics and can read and write simple words - she must have learnt this at Rainbow!


She is our second child

to have gone through Rainbow Day Nursery & Pre-School, and we love it so much that we have signed up our 3rd child too!
The best thing about Rainbow is the staff. You really get the feeling that they care and love your child. The grounds are 2nd to none. I wish I had had the chance to go to a nursery with a farm, a ball pit, a play bus and the many playgrounds and open space. I love that they can go outside and be active for a lot of the day. The food is also brilliant – varied, healthy, and I am sure it has contributed to my children’s willingness to try new things.
Special thanks to the brilliant key workers for our daughter. See you all again soon with our newest addition!

I have sent both of my children to Rainbow - the older has now started school but the younger still attends. Both children have thoroughly enjoyed their time and I can't speak highly enough of the staff. The outdoor facilities are excellent, the variety of activities is great and I feel that might children

From our daughter's first few days at Rainbow in the week she turned 1, to her last few as she now prepares to start school, she has absolutely loved being at Rainbow and we have thoroughly enjoyed watching her grow, learn and develop. Rainbow has played a significant role in her life for longer than
she can remember and the love and care she has received from everyone who has looked after her has been second to none. The girls in each of the rooms she has been in have all been fantastic and on many occasions gone above and beyond and we feel incredibly confident that she has been prepared for school as well as could be. Picking our daughter up on her final day was very emotional and it was with a heavy heart that we said goodbye to Rainbow. The facilities and outside space that Rainbow enjoys just do not compare to anywhere else we have seen and our daughter has developed a real love of the outdoors thanks to this. We can't rate it highly enough!

My son is in Rainbow since he is 2yrs old. Now its time for him to leave Rainbow as he is soon starting school. He is so sad to leave this place as staffs were really amazing. He has been looked after well. The staff communicate well with the parents and they are very friendly. All his key workers were
amazing. The staff have proven to be very reliable.
The Nursery has Amazing grounds. The team is excellent including managers.

Over the past four years, I cannot fault Rainbow. The staff are lovely and my daughter has enjoyed spending time with every one of you.
