The menus were mostly varied and did include a lot of child friendly food. However, at times I felt there was not enough variety as the menu were rotated on a strict 4 weeks cycle without any changes in the days the meals were offered, which meant that my son (who only attended the nursery two days a week) always had the same two meals for each week. The menus were changed every 1/2 yr or so, which is a good thing and staff made sure that my son always tried the food on offer and ate at least parts of it - and I really appreciated the efforts they made.
The staff in Swan 2 were especially good in getting him fully toilet trained. He was no longer using nappies when moving to Swan 2, but he had regular accidents and it was very difficult at home & nursery to get to the toilet in time. The staff did their utmost to spot the body language and persuade him to go to the toilet on time and praised him when he succeeded. Het eventually got the hang of this before he left nursery to go to school, well done to all involved!
Our 2 daughters went to Rainbow nursery and they are now 2 happy little girls, eager to learn, speaking very well, with good manners thanks to the excellent care, love and attention that they have received at the Nursery. Every day when we were going to work we knew that our daughters will spend a beautiful day in a safe, friendly and learning environment. Great staff, the love for children transpires in everybody.
We found the staff to be diligent and genuine in their attentions towards the children. The children love the amazing out door space which allows them to 'burn off' energy throughout the year and have fun. Having the opportunity to watch the numerous animals as they grow and develop really resonates with the children and we were regularly provide with updates from our son on what animals were doing what. Rainbow has provided us with a great platform upon which we can now build on going forward. Thank you
Our son was very happy during his 2 years at Rainbow - he formed bonds with both his key workers and the nursery. It's a very special nursery with engaging, caring and professional staff. The setting is just amazing with a vegetable patch, various animals (including a donkey!) and playgrounds. Our son 'graduated' from Rainbow this summer and started school confidently (despite being one of the youngest having just turned 4) and my husband and I have no doubt that this was in part to do with the help Rainbow gave him preparing him for 'big school'.
I cannot think of any negative comments or any constructive criticism for Rainbow nursery.
Having put my 10 year old through Rainbow all those years ago, we again chose Rainbow for our next 2 babies. We cannot fault the nursery and highly recommend it. The love & care put in by the staff makes the place although you need to check out the grounds and facilities on offer as well which are the best around.
The Management are very involved in the day to day care at the Nursery and they enjoy good grades from Ofsted. Some of the staff were still there from when my eldest went, which says a lot too.
They will have even the tiniest of babies enjoying art & music and once they move to the "big school" side, so much activity opens up to them, cooking every week, something that sadly declines once they move up to Junior School.
I credit Rainbow which helping to shape my children into the confident, adventurous children they are today. Thank you !
